1969 Pontiac GTO Ram Air III 4-speed Convertible Up for sale by a private party is this rare and beautiful Pontiac GTO convertible. It is a documented (1 of less than 180), GTO, 4 speed, Ram Air III, convertible, in its original colors of “triple black”. Documentation of the car's authenticity is included and provided by the Pontiac Historical Society (copies available upon request). This car is also one of the first produced by Pontiac, having been manufactured in the month of January 1969 at the Baltimore, MD facility. The only exception to this Ram Air III GTO is the original 400 c.i. engine which has been replaced with a date correct fully rebuilt, balanced, and blueprinted, 1969 Pontiac 428 c.i. / 390 h.p motor (see specs below for rebuild). This car underwent a total reconditioning in 2009 which included; a new 2-stage black paint job; new convertible top & boot; rebuilt engine, driveline, and suspension; all new weather stripping and molding. Car is solid and rust-free throughout, all of the glass is in perfect condition. Once all of the work had been performed, the owner drove the car less than 100 miles, due to personal reasons. This “Weekend Warrior” has never been abused nor driven in bad weather. Receipts for all of the work performed are included. Here are some of the specifics.
