It's not a shell and it's not for parts only...unless you want it to be. It runs...it drives...it needs a gasket...it needs cosmetic work...its a project. Thanks for your time and interest. The Story :: The vehicle had the cam shaft, lifters, push rods, spark plugs, fuel pump, manifold intake gasket and seals, oil pan seal, timing chain, thermostat, water pump all replaced. It was thought that the old head gaskets were in good condition...wrong. Sooo, when it came time to break the cam shaft in the vehicle ran great. I was able to put a little over 500 miles on it. Then it started drinking water...over heating etc.. That's when the thermostat was changed. Well it continue to do so with me noticing additional signs of what the issue was pointing to. This is what it is doing that lets me know it's the gaskets :: :: Head Gasket issues Heavy white smoke Milky oil Over heating drinking water Coolant keeps going bye bye (I'm sure due to over heating) This is a great car. The highlight of the project is the High Performance drive train featuring a brand new LS7 7.0 High Performance Corvette engine, American Powertrain T56 manual 6-speed transmission , and a Strange Engineering 456 positraction rear end. 1968 Firebird Ram Air II, bench seat 4 spd. This car is one of a 110 total RA II Firebirds produced in the second half of 1968. Legend has it, that it was the only bench seat 4 spd car produced with the RA II, and it is one of only a very few left with it's original engine intact. This car is not a "restamp", or "period correct" drivetrain car, it actually retains it's original born with block, round port heads, exhaust manifolds, etc. It has a correct 7028273 quadrajet, 941 distributor, Muncie close ratio transmission, and it's original shifter, along with it's original 3:90 posi rear end.This car was ordered as light as possible, with deluxe interior bench seat, plain steel wheels with hubcaps, redline tires, and tinted glass.....no frills, just lightweight, and the highest horsepower available to 68 firebird owners. The seat covers, carpet, and headliner have been replaced, but the dashpad and door panels are original. The car underwent a frame off restoration between 2002-2004, and has been garage kept, and driven less than 500 miles since. It runs, drives, steers, and stops, exactly as it should, and is very fast. This is a completely rust free, Georgia car, and the original Georgia license plate comes with it, along with Pontiac Historical Society documentation to back up it's pedigree. Body is very straight, and the paint remains in excellent condition.
