1973 Trans Am Super Duty, Complete numbers matching 4-speed Factory Brewster Green with Original Beige Custom Cloth Deluxe Interior 1 of 72 Factory 4 speeds *******Please see website with over 300 pics and videos of start up and drive: Do not click, link will not work. Cut and paste link - www.73sd.smugmug.com/ ******** Not sure what the exact breakdown is, however from much research, a 1973 Pontiac Trans Am Super Duty Brewster Green Completely Numbers Matching 4speed with Bravo Custom Cloth Beige Interior is very rare. Perhaps one of 2 or 3 produced by Pontiac with this unique interior. You may see a black interior Brewster green 4speed SD once in a great while, however a 4speed custom cloth interior SD such as this may only come up for sale once in a lifetime. Owned by one family for almost 30 years, the 36k original miles is documented through various minor service and maintenance receipts, as well as hand-written notes (including washes) kept in little memo pads. I have 2 large folders full of documents ranging from old original owner dealer paperwork, past registrations, insurance cards, bills of sale, to vintage car show flyers and SD-related paper notes passed between father and daughter. The condition of the original interior and other components are also a testament to the mileage. The dash is still soft to the touch. Options are: Bravo beige custom cloth corduroy and vinyl interior with horse-collar seats, front console, courtesy/convenience lighting, roof drip rail moldings, decor door and hood moldings, radio, electric rear window defroster, honeycombs. I do have the PHS posted on the web link. The car is also listed in the SD Registry. Numbers matching throughout including born with block, trans, rear, heads, intake, carb, distributor, original exhaust manifolds, etc. Original fasteners, clamps, clips, correct date coded wires, correct GM hoses, and routing lines. The car is, and always was, very dry and has been fully repainted once. The engine bay was detailed to compliment. Hardware was replated in correct finishes. Chrome and bright trim was redone as well. Date coded glass is excellent and all original. The car still has GM paper tags on the underside. Vintage Trans Am Territory Participant and Original Membership Decal still present on windshield Excellent, extensive documented pedigree and provenance. Along with the original owner paperwork, is a sign-of-the times salesman's ashtray from the original dealership, Ranken Pontiac in Easton, Pennsylvania Entered into the SD Registry very early on - original Dot-Matrix Printouts from late 80's. The car was also featured in a 1993 book, Muscle Car Color History, Firebird and Trans AM 67'-94'. The same photo of the car in the book is also seen on the old Firebird Gallery website ( see bottom of the page)...http://www.firebirdgallery.com/73lot1.htm The car was ordered without the hood bird. As I prefer the long, unbroken hood-line to the nose, I chose to leave the small nose bird off, as is seen in the vintage pic. I do have a new one ready to go. Scott Tiemann of Supercar Specialties restorations in Michigan inspected and verified the car before my purchase in 2007. Scott also rebuilt and detailed the original engine. I've put on about 150 miles or so since. As you may know, the majority of frame-off restorations are necessary due to rust, collision damage, gross neglect, or tragic customization. This car was not frame off restored, as it was unnecessary and unwarranted. Beautiful, deep PPG base coat clear coat repaint on an exceptionally dry example with well-worn paint. Factory paint processes were followed, whether it be painted over door strikers and trunk hinge bolts, or fender air extractor grills finished in black phosphate, etc... Any and all work was approached with dedication to, and respect for original details. Original Date codes and part numbers are evident on the factory sheet metal. The car has retained its born with fenders, core support, doors, deck lid, and hood. Quarters too are original and untouched. Original Factory red primer oxide on undercarriage along with factory green overspray. Will clean-up further, however I chose to keep the overspray/patina at the risk of losing original red-oxide. Currently riding on BFG Radial T/A's for driving. Wide Oval F-60 as shown are the tires these cars came with in 73. They available and give it a great vintage look for show. I chose to refresh the car while retaining as much originality as possible. The end result is a 73' Super Duty 4 speed with its soul intact; a unique honest, balanced product, comfortable with both its past and its gleaming revival. The beastly 1973 455 c.i. Super Duty powerplant and the refined, well-appointed deluxe interior represents the pinnacle of Pontiac design and performance achievement. Hemi-car grade acceleration with luxury interior comforts. The car is a pure pleasure to drive. May consider other 70-73 firebirds in trade. For sale locally, I reserve the right to end the auction at anytime. I am available by phone for any questions, email me with a number and I will call you, Thanks
