For sale is my 1967 Pontiac Firebird. I've owned the car for 4 years, and now that I have a kid, its time to sell, I just don't have the time to enjoy it anymore. I never believed everyone when they said you have no time once you have a child. was I wrong. I bought this car not to make it a show car, but just to be able to drive it around and enjoy an old car.I didn't want to be worried that it could get dinged in a parking lot. I do have the original build sheet for the car. it has the original numbers matching 326 engine. it has an after market 3 speed 350TH trans, 750 CFM carb, Headers, Ignition system, true dual exhaust from the headers back. Has a great rumble to it. from the sounds of it, someone at some point might have put a new cam in the car, but I don't know for sure. I have the original exhaust and intake manifolds, 2 barrel carb, and valve covers. I also have some other original parts. all come with the sale of the car. Mechanically the car is a 9 out of 10. I've spent some money over the last few years getting everything working just right. starts up every time, and you can take it for an hour cruise with no problems. Doesn't overheat like a lot of old Pontiacs do. Engine compartment is pretty clean, it could use some lipstick if you want to make it a show car. The interior of the car is almost all original. the head liner is new and I put in a retro radio in for some music. I also installed 6x9s in the back and some new 3.5" speakers up front in the original location of the speakers. there is a woofer in the back with an amp, but I will take that out. the driver seat has a small rip in it, but everything else is in great shape for being 48 years old. id give the interior a 9 out of 10. The body is straight except for the hood, which is a little off. it has the 400 hood on it, so that's not original. the body has a few spots of rust. the back window has some around the frame, the few small areas on the body from scratches over the years. the trunk has 2 small holes in it, and the fenders behind the rear tires have some too. the weather stripping on the car seems to be original, so some of its pretty dried up, but still keeps the water out. the chrome is in decent shape, some minor blemishes, something to expect from a 48 year old car. this car was originally a gold color, and it was painted blue. its what I would call a 10ft paint job on it, meaning it looks good from 10 ft. in my opinion if you wanted this car to be show ready all you need is some minor body work and a paint job. locally for sale as well, so I have the right to cancel this listing at any time. give me a call or email for a test drive. this is a great car to cruise it and work on as time goes. needs nothing to drive, just a new owner.
