1979 Pontiac Trans AmVery, very solid and fully optioned 1979 Trans Am. This is a real T/A not a clone made from a Firebird with Trans Am Fenders and a hood swap. 1979 was the last year for 2nd gen that came with large engines from the factory. 403 engine (not running - intake is removed and will need carb), auto, air conditioning, tilt, tach, power windows, power door locks, rear window defogger, posi, and of course a Trans Am suspension which is a lot healthier than a stock Firebird or Camaro. Very complete, includes correct uncut 403 shaker (ignore the incorrect decal for Pontiac W72) and shaker air cleaner. Shaker Air Cleaner may be missing lid but I may have one.Was a factory Gold Trans Am, paint code 50, same as the 1978 Y88's. Drum Brake Rear End, should be original posi but I have not inspected this.Odometer reads approximately 91K. Doubtful this has flipped over. To my knowledge it is a numbers matching Trans Am. Car has been sitting for 10 years.Engine has had rain water leaked into it. It currently is not running. Please see photo with intake manifold removed. Steering box has been removed and is stored in interior. Can be loaded on trailer but need to push on tires to steer it. Missing A/C compressor and brackets. This is a project car that needs repairing so I do not know what all of the parts or repairs it will need. T/A has a passenger seat bolted down on driver's side so it is missing a driver's seat. None of the seats are original to the car.All glass is very good. For those of you who live in states that use road salt in the winter, this T/A has not experienced the compound of road salt winter after to winter corroding the vehicle.Floor pans are solid; trunk pan is solid. The front fenders and doors are solid. Passenger quarter panel has common rust for these cars, and there is rust on driver quarter panel. Hood is bent on passenger side but can be repaired. I did see some bondo in driver's door jamb, someone repaired a small amount of rust or something. Rockers are solid. If you want a complete vehicle inspection it is up to you to send your representative for the inspection. I have not inspected every inch and detail of the car. This is a project car sold as-is and where-is.I do a lot of these cars and this one is super solid. The plan was to part-out and cut-up for OEM sheet metal but this one is just too nice. This one is in great shape to either make a driver out of, make pro-touring, or to restore. Message me via eBay if you have any questions that are not addressed in the positing. Message me with your phone if you want to discuss.$2699, my loss over parting out/cutting up goes into your pocket. This is my rock bottom price.

You are viewing an extremely rare PHS DOCUMENTED, all ORIGINAL , VERY highly optioned 1969 Firebird 400 Convertible! I have viewed hundreds of 1969 Firebird 400 cars over the years, including many convertibles, and have seen very few that were all original like this one and have never seen one with as many options as this one has! I looked for years before finding this one, but now my life is going in a different direction so I have decided to sell it. I am certain I will never find one like it again. I purchased this car about 9 years ago and have had it in storage ever since with the hopes that each year I would be able to start the restoration on it and it would become my dream car. I have a copy of the PHS documents showing that it is the real thing and has its original 330 HP numbers matching engine. Even the rear end, intake manifold, radiator, air conditioning, carburetor etc.. are all original. (I'm not sure about the transmission, the numbers on it are 47B103197, which does not match the vin on the car.) If you are not sure how rare this is, just take a look at closed auctions on e-Bay, classic car ads, car shows etc. and you will find that almost ALL of the "1969 Firebird 400" cars either have a 350, 428, or some other engine in them that is not a 400, or is a "period correct" 400 with a similar date, but is not the original engine. Many times the engine has been modified or "hopped up" by changing the heads, intake, or any number of other internal parts. This engine is all original...I checked all of the numbers and they match for this engine. If by some very rare chance you DO find a true numbers matching car, and you DO find it in a convertible, you just won't find it with the options this car has. This car is one of a kind. I did some research a while back and found a site on the net that says that GM built 76,000 hard top 1969 Firebirds, but only 11,649 convertibles, and the vast majority of the convertibles were NOT 400 optioned. Most had 350, 326 engines etc.. They only built 6,921 cars that had the YT engine code in BOTH hard top AND convertible. If you go by percentages on the convertible versus hard top production numbers that means that GM may have only built around 1,000 YT code 1969 Firebird convertibles, and I am sure only a handful, or fewer, with this many options. How many do you think still exist today...45 years later? This may very well be the only 1969 YT code Firebird convertible left with this may options. Below is a list of the ORIGINAL Factory Options this car has. The options listed below are on the PHS documents for this car and are FACTORY GM OPTIONS, and don't include any dealer installed options! 1.) Convertible Top 2.) 400 Engine Option (with original chrome valve covers etc.) 3.) Air Conditioning 4.) Turbo Hydramatic 400 Transmission. 5.) Power Bucket Seat 6.) Fold Down Rear Seat 7.) Custom Sport Steering Wheel 8.) Tilt Steering 9.) Factory Special Paint (A very beautiful Windward Blue, not the color it was later repainted) 10.) Power Top 11.) Cruise Control (A VERY Rare Option!) 12.) AM/FM Stereo Radio w/ Multiplex System 13.) Dual Horns 14.) Chrome Pedal Trim 15.) Power Windows (On all 4 windows) 16.) Under Hood Light 17.) Power Radio Antenna (This unit is missing, but does come up on eBay.) 18.) Door Edge Guards 19.) Remote Mirror 20.) Custom Rally II Wheels 21.) Custom Wood Grain Center Console 22.) Power Steering With Optional High Performance Variable Ratio Steering Box 23.) Power Disk Brakes 24.) Tinted Glass 25.) Custom Floor Mats Front 26.) Custom Floor Mats Rear 27.) Luggage Lamp In Trunk 28.) Locking Steering That’s 28 options that are listed on the PHS sheet for this car!! There are a few other options that I guess are a part of the main options for this car that are not mentioned, such as the nice factory dash clock, arrow head emblem on the front bumper, acorn chrome and black lug nuts, front chrome grill surrounds etc.,--over 32 options that I found in all! This is not mentioning the dealer options that this car may have originally had that I don't know about. Although it needs a lot of work before you take it out on the road, this Firebird will run and drive! After sitting for many years before I bought it, I was not sure how much it would take to get it running again, but after putting some new points, and a rotor and cap on it I fired it up and it ran. It was a little rough at first, and then it got smoother and smoother as it warmed up. After a bit of tinkering it would start right up and idle and run pretty well. The ignition switch doesn't work for some reason, so I jump start it. The turbo 400 seems to shift solid and work as it should. The power steering, emergency brake, regular brakes etc. seem to work ok also. The brakes leak around the master cylinder so it does need some new brake parts. I drove it back and forth in the yard and spun the tires a couple times for kicks and although it needs a tune-up, it ran pretty well for sitting for so long. The engine didn't have any noises of any kind and seem to be solid. I was getting ready to go out on the main road into town with it when I decided to take a look underneath to make sure it was not leaking any fluids of any kind when I noticed it had gas leaking out of the fuel line on the rear frame and also some from a rubber hose on the right side under the engine. I immediately shut it down. It's a good thing I looked, or the whole thing could have gone up in a ball of flames! I didn't realize it, but after closer inspection noticed that the metal fuel line is badly rusted and needs to be completely replaced. I was going to replace it, but I have been very busy with work etc. so I will let the new owner do it. It's too bad, because I think it would have been fun to drive it down the main road for a while. Now I want to make sure you realize that this car needs a COMPLETE frame-off restoration. It has a LOT of rust and body putty in it. As you can see in the photos it needs just about everything repaired, restored, or replaced. The doors shut, but they need to be lined up better, and the floor boards, quarter panels, trunk pan etc. need to be replaced. Like I mentioned earlier, it will run and drive and seems mechanically solid, but I must be honest with you and say that the rest of the car is in pretty bad shape. Don't plan on driving this car home. It has to be trailered or put on a car hauler or a tow dolly for shipping. Like most cars that need to be restored, some parts on this car look nice, and other areas are completely shot. The frame rails look ok to me, but the body panels (rear quarters, fenders and floor boards) are in really bad shape and need to be replaced. In spite of all of this, the dash pad, rare wood grain sport steering wheel, folding rear seat, and some other things look good...go figure. I do have quite a few parts that go with the car, including a brand new windshield for the cracked one that is in it, a new quarter panel, new carpeting and a few other parts. Other than the front windshield the rest of the glass looks like it is in pretty good shape and doesn't need to be replaced. The power seat works but needs to be lubricated. I had 3 of the power windows working with some assistance but now I can't get any of them to work so I think there's a bad connection someplace. I was moving some wiring around to get the interior lights to work, so I think I must have bumped the connection for the windows or something. The stock remote mirror works fine. The power top works but does need a push in a few spots and one of the rams is leaking. The rare AM/FM Multiplex Stereo radio did turn on and seemed to work fine and picked up the local stations, and the flip dial seems to work well too. However, I recently turned it on and couldn't get anything, so I think I must have disconnected the power somehow (along with the electric windows) when I was working on the interior lights. The power antenna is missing, but I can see where it was mounted in the trunk and you do see them come up on e-Bay from time to time so they are available. (I think the same ones were used for Camaros, too.) I can go on and on about this car, but I guess the best thing to do is to tell you to take a close look at the photos, and especially the one of the PHS sheet so you can see this is the real thing, and please don't hesitate to ask any and all questions and I will do my best to answer them. This is an EXTREMELY rare car, and I REALLY want this car to go to a special home where it will be completely restored to its former glory. Please remember though, this is a big project, so don't plan on getting it in top shape for a car show in a few months, it will take a lot of time and work. I have tried to be honest in my description (the guy I bought the car from did not tell me about most of this stuff) and if I think of anything else I will add it to the description. That said, when you are done you will have one of the rarest, most special and highly-optioned, NUMBERS MATCHING Firebird 400 Convertibles in the country!! It will be really sad to see it go. I spent a lot of time (years!) looking for this special car, but now maybe you can do what I can't and give it what it truly deserves....a complete restoration and a new home where it will be pampered and taken to car shows. :) Finally, this car does come with a clear Oregon title in my name. I will assist in the loading of this car on your trailer or the trailer of the shipper you send out to pick it up. I will need $500 deposit from the buyer, and the car must be paid for and picked up within three weeks of the listing's end unless arrangements are made beforehand you commit to buy the car. Thanks for viewing this listing! Please note: You can find many additional photos of this car on the following link: https://www.flickr.com/photos/127234480@N05/sets/72157648645463738/

Appraised at $135,000 April 2013. Have well over the asking price in receipts. The 1968 GTO 2 door hardtop is a #'s matching (serial # 242378P302385) 2 person owner automobile and has undergone a complete major restoration. This is a highly optioned automobile with the main vehicle features including the original numbers matching RAM Air 400 cubic in/360 horsepower V-8, automatic transmission with very rare Hurst (his/hers) mounted floor shifter, power steering power brakes, air conditioning, center console, rear window defroster, wood steering wheel, hood mounted tachometer, hideaway headlights, his/hers Hurst period correct reissued crager wheels, original dash AM pushbutton radio. The hidden secret is the Alpine 1000 watts am/fm stereo radio w/CD player mounted in the glove box. Custom Stereo speakers are located in the trunk. The overall exterior of this car is flawless. The exterior color is April Gold (enhanced with some secret magic). This might be one of the finest paint jobs in the world on top of the best body work in the world. The Willow Gold interior has been totally restored in its original condition. The front bucket seats were rebuilt and recovered in factory original material. The original dash pad in still in the car. It is in excellent condition. The instrument gauges have been fully restored to original and beyond (absolutely stunning). New door sills plates have been installed and every interior trim piece is new. The tires are BF Goodrich Radial T/A raised white letters. The engine has been completely rebuilt (including the upper end and the lower end) along with the transmission using all new parts. We have just of 1,100 miles on the new engine. The positraction rear end has been rebuilt as also has the braking systems and a full performance stainless steel exhaust system featuring custom headers has been installed. The engine has also been restored to factory specifications and the original chrome valve covers and the air cleaner are in place. The carburetor is an Elelbrock 4-barrel (a very nice top of the line carburetor) and we do have the original Rochester carburetor in our possession. We have full build record of this car. We could go on and on about this car! Ad can also be viewed at http://www.autotraderclassics.com/classic-car/1968-Pontiac-GTO-2296359.xhtml?conversationId=1046607

I have a Very Rare, collectable and desirable 40th anniversary Supercharged Pontiac Grand Prix GTP Coupe. ??I believe Pontiac only made about 2000 of these. 21 MPG CITY 29 MPG HWY. I routinely get about 25 MPG on trips up and down the Oregon Coast. This was my late wife's car, and I think it needs a new home, away from the Coast. It has been garaged for much of the time that I've owned it. But I no longer have room for it in the garage. It does comes with it's own car cover, included. As a special 40th Anniversary Grand Prix, this car will only increase in value over the coming years. And, will only be an unrestored original as it is now, ONCE. The Good: Great Condition, Fast, Nimble, Reliable and Fun to Drive! Supercharged GTP 240 HP!? Lower miles for a 2002??Runs perfect?on Newer 225-16 BF Goodrich T/A Radial tires. 15 spoke Chrome Wheels. ?On-Star (available, You will have to subscribe!) ??Never in any accidents. Perfect Body, no dents no rust. Good Factory Paint with only minor scratches and chips. ?Recent "Nu-Finish" polish. Heated drivers seat. ?Power moonroof. Clean CarFax. ?Tight car (no shakes, rattles, squeaks)?manual?Oil changed regularly - synthetic oil. Heads-up display. Factory Boost and Oil Pressure gauges on drivers side "A" pillar (standard only on supercharged GTP's) Minor normal wear and tear on the original interior. The Bad: Missing spare tire. (Any spare from Pontiac Grand prix or other GM midsize will work) Missing cosmetic engine/supercharger cover. (I see them on eBay.) No AM Radio. (I think this is an Antenna problem) FM works great. Factory Bose system, single CD. CD player and AM work beautifully. Radio dial does not light up, but it can be seen momentarily when on heads up display when adjusting volume or search. AC Needs a recharge I'm sure. (I live on the coast so this hasn't been much of a problem here.) BEAUTIFUL car! 40th Anniversary Package ($2700 option for 2002)?The GTP model is the more desirable Supercharged model (240 hp)?Functional heat extractors (only the supercharged model comes with these)?Factory chrome wheels?2-tone ruby/graphite interior.?NASCAR-inspired rear spoiler and roof fences, polished dual-outlet exhaust tips, hood with heat extractors. ?40th anniversary emblems on doors and deck lid. Low miles for 2002 - 124K miles. 15-spoke chrome wheels previously offered with the 2001 Special Edition package. Unique elements such as the Dark Cherry Metallic paint, 40th Anniversary badges, and Ruby Red and Graphite interior trim with the 40th Anniversary logo embroidered on the front seats differentiated this option package from the previous year's offering." Check out the 7 "finlets" "wind splitters" on the leading edge of the rear window. I've never seen these on any other Grand Prix GTP - period. I can't find a reference to them in any GM literature. ?Must be Extremely Rare!. I suspect that these were offered as part of the early 40th Anniversary early in the production and then discontinued on later 40th Anniversary Coupes. Does anyone know anything more about these little guys? ________________________________________________________________________________________________More about the 40th Anniversary Edition For the 2001 Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) show, the Grand Prix 40th Anniversary edition was tricked out as the Grand Prix GP40, with GM Accessories provided by General Motors' Service Parts Operations (SPO): "The Grand Prix GP40 show car offers absolute performance, with no sacrifices," said Jerome Thiebaud, Pontiac Grand Prix assistant brand manager-product. "It's a showcase for the kinds of performance engine parts, as well as chassis and suspension components and other items, that GM Accessories is making available for current GM products."
