My very rare early 1994 Pontiac Firebird Formula Firehawk #002/500 is up for auction. Red T-top, automatic, LT1 350 engine. Fastest production car in the U.S. in 1994 - out of the box 0-60 in 4.9 seconds! -¼ mile=13.5 (Corvette LTI =5.7 sec) The car is totally original, with the exception of later model year rims. I have the original rims and all four of the rare as hen’s teeth center-caps. I acquired the car from the original owner’s widow on April 1, 2011, making me the second owner. Since April, 2011 I’ve only driven about 1.5k miles. It has been professionally detailed. The rims on the car came with chrome corrosion. New original Delco AC compressor (didn’t work until I had the computer reflashed by GM). It blows ice cold. It has 4 new Goodyear Firehawk tires with maybe 150 miles on them. Repaired the window arm, as the window kept going off track. There was a very small crack in the windshield, fixed and warrantied by Safety Lite- I have all receipts of work done. It’s tuned, runs well and handles well. The Good: Almost everything- a solid great looking ORIGINAL car with all PHS and SLP birth date card=all documentation! Nothing aftermarket: original owner put in 6 disc CD player in trunk and PIA running lights. GM put in a battery disconnect switch-same as Corvettes-went entire brutal N.Y. winter and started right up in late April. Decals are good. New car cover. Original T top pocket holders in trunk. I believe the rear has never been sat in. No dash cracks. Added RediRad FM Modulator wired transmitter for MP3 player-tune to 91.2 FM. The Bad: some chips on hood filled in with One Shot line paint (not exact but close)-great looking –view pics . 5 tiny dings around power antenna (got it that way - acorns?-easily repaired by dentless pro). Front of headliner held by straight pins-rear is starting to drop. The front driver side dash speaker seems shot, but you can manipulate the equalizer so the other 9 overcome. The driver seat upright edge just started to split at the seam due to my sliding into car-covered with black electrical tape. This is one rare low numbered Firehawk and at 21 years old can still leap out with the performance switch. Never raced or pounced on, babied like a trailer queen. I was Vice President of our local car club and shown as an “Original Survivor”. If you live in NY, come for a test drive- easy pick up. Out of state you will need to provide your own transport.
