Up for sale here is my 2001 Supercharged Grand Prix GTP “Special Edition” w/Black Exterior and Light & Dark Gray 2-Tone Interior. I’m the third owner of this “Beautiful” car and love it but I have too many cars (wife says) and one of them has to go unfortunately :-( for me but Very Fortunate for someone else. The car is more than beautiful as I have already stated you could call it The Beauty & the Beast! While it has the awesome looks it also has the muscle to back it up. With that I should say that no one should be "Intimidated" by the thought of three hundred horse power. This is not your typical teenagers Hot Rod by any means it runs and rides as sooth as a Pontiac sedan should. I'm a 52yr old mechanic who loves his cars the only thing anybody might notice is a very nice and mild exhaust tone hardly distinguished from the stock sound and for the fuel economy there is no difference as long as you drive normal and all things are as stock... unless you wanted too, you could grab a whole lot a pedal! Now let’s start with the beauty first, while the Midnight Black paint is stunning it’s not Show Room Perfect, as it was a daily driver for the better part of its life. It has the normal rock chips you would expect, a few small little dimples and a couple of spots where the clear coat has peeled, all normal for its year. Also equally stunning are the “Grafix!” on this car with the pin stripping, Red Racing Strip & Grey Checkered Flag to the door sills “PONTIAC”, to the Reflective Red “GTP Supercharged” decal under the door sill, to the Silver Reflective “GTP Supercharged” Emblem on the doors and the red “PONTIAC” decal on the rear bumper. Also the Aluminum Mesh Grill inserts, “GT Styling” Bug Shield and “GTS” Headlight Black-Outs, Tinted Rear Windows, Brake & Gas Pedal Covers, and Hood Scoops. Last but not least are the OEM 16" Pontiac Grand Prix 5 Spoke Polished, Slanted Star Wheels w/Pontiac Center Cap Emblem and valve stem cap Emblems. The interior speaks for its self in the photos taken; it is very clean and in very good condition. It has two-tone Leather Bucket Seats, driver side is a power seat and heated. Leather Wrapped Steering Wheel w/Controls, Leather Door Panels, Leather Shift Knob & Boot, AM/FM/CD Stereo w/Equalizer, HUD (heads up display projected) on window, Boost Gauge & Tach., Monitor for Avg. Fuel Consumption; Fuel Used; Range; & Oil Life, Power Sunroof, Power Windows and Power Door Locks w/Remote Factory Security/Alarm/Immobilizer. Now on to the Muscle of the Car, it starts with the engine, which is the heart of it, a V6, Supercharged, 3.8L with a stock horse power of 240hp. From there we add-on some tried & true components with a list of names such as… “Thrasher” Hi-Performance Cold Air Intake System w/9” K&N Cone A/F “Thrasher” Engineered Performance 3.4” Supercharger Pulley “Goodyear” H/D Gator-Back Super-Charger Belt “Stant” H/D Superstat 180° thermostat & gasket “Intense” Stage “2” Reprogrammed PCM “Accel” 8.8mm, Extreme 9000 Spark Plug Wires “Autolite ASP-605” x 6 Copper Core Spark Plugs “SLP” 1-5/8" Equal-Length, 409 Stainless Steal, Ceramic Coated Headers “SLP” Stainless Steal 3” High-Flow Catalytic Converter “SLP” Power-Flo 2.5” Stainless Steel Cat-Back w/Dual/Dual Tips And you end up with something like a Blistering 300+ HP! WOW!!! Let’s look at repairs and stuff. The earliest repair was the A/C Condenser replaced in’08 that was really the only significant one between than & now. Fast forward to this year I did a Brake w/Best Select Ceramic brake pads front and rear w/rotors. I replaced both left and right CV half shaft axles. New relay for fan/blower motor. A new battery from Interstate Batteries a “Mega-Tron Plus” 78 sz. Most recently this month getting it ready for sale, I replaced the Valve Cover gaskets, and there might be some residual drips until a few drive cycles. I just gave it an oil & filter change, cleaned serviced K&N filter. And a fresh Detailing! And last but not least new wiper blades. The Tires are 225/60R/16 BF Goodrich Traction T/A with 20k on 70,000 mile tires, which I just rotated them front to rear for better traction for winter coming. In conclusion; The car runs flawlessly and I can tell you that you will not be disappointed. Aside from being an awesome car it also has statically low miles @ 102k when the National average would be 148k. This car has seen only about half it’ life, and in looking at car selling these cars are still selling well into the 200k miles. I have spent some $4,000+ on accessories, options, parts and upgrades, not counting such things as maintenance and repairs (which was $760 in the last 5 months).The window sticker price of this car new was $26,250 see the more pics link.
