GOOD LUCK AND HAPPY BIDDING! 1937 Pontiac 5 Window Coupe Street Rod Original 8 Series Coupe 350 V8 Engine 700R4 Automatic Transmission Full Jaguar Suspension Power Rack & Pinion Steering 4 Wheel Disc Brakes Air Conditioned Bucket Seats (Power Driver) Tilt Steering Power Windows Digital Gauges This car is one of 300 37 Pontiac 8 cyl coupes built and was in CA it's whole life so it started as a real clean slate to build. The car has been built from the frame up, the attention to details was job one in how things were plumbed and assembled. He was actually disappointed that you can't see detail of the frame with the body on. The car still needs to be finished but I think one can see that all the hard & expensive stuff is completed. The car does run and drive currently. He has the firewall plate, Fisher body tag, a 1951 CA license plate that was on the car and a 1947 dated title. The body is very straight, the paint is a dark blue metallic 2 stage urethane and just needs a final polish. There are a couple of small flaws but they're hardly noticeable. The door handles have been shaved as well as the trunk handle. The doors have custom painted power mirrors. The firewall was smoothed and brake master located on frame. The hood trim and grill were sanded and painted as the owner's preference. The front and rear were setup to not have bumpers, the rear valance has been reshaped with billet tail lights, license plate notch and notched for exhaust tips. There was also a spot cut out below the rear window for a 3rd brake light for safety. The doors have power window regulators installed and of course the latches. He has all the window trim for the car. There is no glass, it's all flat glass so any good auto glass shop can cut it, you can have it made tinted if you like. The headlight parts got misplaced so you'll need the hardware and there is a company that makes a conversion to 7" sealed beam. The interior is still in raw form, it allows you to finish to your taste. The dash has been reworked to fit a nice wood panel and a set of Dakota Digital gauges. It has a 70's GM tilt column with column shifter and key switch. The area behind the seats has a custom cabinet to separate the trunk and also give a nice place for the fuse panel and engine computer. Of course it has a trunk mounted battery as you can see. The roof has been lined with Dyno-Mat so far. The wiring is mostly done, just needs the interior electrical finished. The Vintage Air w/ heat has the firewall plate installed but it needs to be plumbed and the interior parts installed, the kit is included with the car. The engine and transmission are fresh rebuilds with no more than 20 miles on them. The engine is an 88 Chevy 350 w/ throttle body fuel injection and the transmission is a 700R4 automatic with 1 wire electronic lockup. The engine has an aluminum intake and valve covers, ceramic coated headers and billet air cleaner. The front and rear suspension is 1988 Jaguar XJ8, the original frame was reworked and boxed to make it more rigid. It has a large Walker radiator with temp controlled electric fan. The fuel tank was custom made with fuel pump, return line and pressure type cap and you can see in the pictures it has a custom filler location in the trunk. The brakes are 4 wheel disc, the brake booster and master are on the frame to keep the firewall clean. It rides on stock Jaguar wheels currently. I think the pictures and my description will give a pretty good idea of what this car is, I'm sure I didn't list everything because there is so much. A lot of money and time was invested to get it this far and the owner of the car knows he won't see the over $30K + time invested. He also has a whole bunch of pictures, from the time he got thru most of the build.There is a Buy-It-Now, you can also make an offer and I'll present any fair offers to him. I welcome inspections, the car is located in Fresno, CA (about 2 min from me) and can be viewed by appointment. The owner of the car has no interest in trades. The winning bidder will receive a California title (from 1947), clear of any liens with the car. Beautiful 1984 trans am. I am 3rd owner, it was painted in 2006, has been garaged, only driven on weekends or to shows. The body is in very good condition, no dents or scratches. Some very minor road nicks. This car had new drive train and power plant installed in 2014. It has a new GM performance parts crate E-Rod engine and 4l60e transmission as well as a 12bolt 373 ratio rear end. It is fuel injected, puts out 430hp, is 50 state legal!!! It has been reinforced from front to back to be able to withstand the torque the LS-3 delivers. I have had the car since 2006, and it has been a California car forever.It has never been smoked in as well. The engine has approx 1200 mi on it and was professionally installed by a well known local shop. It was originally equipped with only front disc brakes, but I added rear discs for extra safety.The tires on it are an o e m size for the GTA models and it has GTA rims on it as well. I would prefer cash or cashiers check to complete payment, I would be willing to discuss shipping costs to any potential buyer.
