Here is my 1965 Pontiac GTO, up for sale to the next lucky owner. I have owned this car for about 12 years, and pulled PHS documents on it when I bought it. I don't have access to those documents anymore, and I recommend that anyone seriously interested in the car do their own research through PHS. I don't know a lot about the history of the car before I bought it, but it has been in storage for most of the last decade. This is an original 389 Tri-Power 4-Speed car, but currently has a 1967 326, power steering, manual drum brakes, an open differential rear end, and a 3-speed automatic. The Good: -Original 389 Tri-Power 4-Speed car. -New tires with less than 500 miles on them. -Body is relatively solid (minor rust issues, but not bad at all compared to some that you see) -Car starts up and drives on the first try, every time. -Brand new steering wheel -Have many parts including new front seat foam and covers (red), new upgraded aftermarket seat belts (red), a freshly restored dash bezel, new gauges, new wheel cylinders on all four corners, new brake master cylinder, new interior items to include arm rests and some other trim, 4 speed pedal set and clutch Z-Bar. -Red automatic console. The Bad: -I know...I know...the 326 and the automatic are no replacement for a 389 Tri-Power 4-speed. But the 326 starts up every time, and runs very strong. I believe but have not verified the transmission to be a Turbo-Hydromatic 350. The transmission does leak fluid, and the engine has a very slight (normal for Pontiac) oil leak. -Does have some minor rust issues. The worst portion is the panel behind the rear windshield, and I imagine that that panel will need to be replaced. I don't think any other panels on the car will need replacement. -Paint is about 6.5/10. Looks like some dust might have gotten on the paint on the fenders when it was still wet. Road chips here and there. -Car needs new weather stripping -Suspension is a little soft for my liking, but fully functional. -Interior is somewhat rough, although I do have a lot of new parts for it as listed above The Ugly: -I really don't think there is anything that would qualify as "ugly" on this car. The long and short is that this car needs a lot, but it also has a lot to offer, and it is completely driveable now, so you can enjoy while you work on it. The car is available for inspection in the North San Diego area. Please ask all questions upfront. I will respond to all questions on Ebay, or I can be reached at 661-317-3800 for more in depth discussion. I will help with arranging shipping, but the cost of transportation is up to the buyer. Thanks for looking!
