NOTE:1. New photos have been added, but I was limited to 24 total. I can email more if requested.2. The Experian report is stating one owner for some reason. That is not correct, my dad bought it used.3. Please disregard my previous statement about the smog check history. 4. I confirmed the cold start temperature switch is bad by disconnecting and starting the car while cold. It started easily and was not rich. However, since the part is around $100, and is not needed for starting except at exceptionally cold temperatures (per online discussions), I will not replace it. I've already put a little under $500 into getting the car cleaned up and ready for sale. If the car goes somewhere with cold winters, you would want to put in a new one.5. I have been driving the car a few miles every day and it is running great. 1988 Pontiac Fiero GT. 2.8L V6 engine, 5 speed transmission, 62,xxx miles (a majority are freeway miles). It has good paint and interior (no rips, tears or stains), no body damage, and is stock/unmodified. My father has owned it for 23 years (we think 1 owner before him). He doesn’t drive it anymore so I am helping him sell it. It is a great example of a well-cared for, unrestored 1988 Fiero GT. Almost continuous storage in a garage is probably the biggest contributor to its excellent condition. If I had the space, I would keep this car. It looks great, is fun to drive and really is an eye catcher. In addition to an oil/filter change and new air filter, many gremlins you typically get with a low mileage car have been addressed including: Replaced dead battery New floor mats (backing on originals was beginning to deteriorate, originals will come with car) New clutch master cylinder to replace leaking unitNew coolant tank to replace cracked tankNew heater core due to leaks (no coolant got inside the car)New thermostatCleaned engine electrical system groundsTested radiator fan (Car did not overheat. Wandering temp gage was due to bad electrical system ground connections. Grounds cleaned, issue resolved.)Outstanding issue: The car seems to be a little rich on cold startup. If I get time, I will work on this. I suspect the cold start injector switch might be bad. Various options include: Air conditioning (works well)SunroofCassette stereoGray cloth seatsCruise controlPower windows and locks The title is clear, it easily passed California smog testing and the registration is current. I paid for a Carfax report and can email that upon request. The asking price is $8,000. Judging by sales on eBay, this is a reasonable price. More pictures will be posted as they become available. You can contact me to setup a viewing and test drive if you are local. Since the car will be on Craigslist and eBay, the listing may end early if the car sells locally. If you purchase the car, a deposit of $500 is due immediately, and full payment within 3 days, unless you make other arrangements with me prior to purchasing. You are free to pick up the car yourself or have someone ship it for you, but full payment is due, and funds must be clear and available to me, before the car will be released and the title signed over. PayPal is required for the deposit; cash or money order required for full payment, but I am open to consideration on other forms. You must contact me before bidding to discuss other payment methods. Any registration fees or taxes; shipping, handling, and inspection costs; or other fees and efforts are the responsibility of the buyer. I will lend a hand and/or work with you on arrangements if you plan to ship it. Arrangements for an inspection need to be made with me before purchasing.I will answer any questions the best I can. Thank you.
