1965 PONTIAC GTO This listing is for an estate, 1965 Pontiac GTO convertible. It was purchased by the current owner in 1997 and restored in 1998. The vehicle's top and interior were restored along with some of the body trim. It may need a new starter (though it starts) and drives. The car will sometimes die in idle. It has a wonderful V-8 hum, runs well but could probably use an engine tuning. It has recently had engine fluids replaced, including oil. It is neither concourse queen nor a vehicle in need of any major work. It is in very good condition and wants to be driven. GTO is a racing term for a car with an enclosed body rather than a roadster. The "O" was added signifying that enough have been built to qualify them for racing as a regular production vehicle rather than as a prototype or concept vehicle. The original "Iris Mist" color was too feminine for the masculine sport of auto racing so many vehicles (like this one) were painted other colors. Because very very few GTOs were painted this color, it is no doubt a rare combination. 1973 Pontiac Catalina in beautiful condition with only 35, 877 original and documented miles. The car is almost all original with exception to the tires and the vinyl top which I had to replace due to a rip in the old one. There were no signs of rust at all ( I have pictures of the bare top) but the weld points from the car's top to body wasn't sealed properly at the factory so I repaired it. The interior is in excellent condition. The car was purchased from the original owner's daughter who inherited the car in 2001. The car sat in her southwest facing garage ( that had windows) being driven a few times until I bought it. I had everything that needed maintenance, repair, or replacement done. The radiator was rebuilt, the brakes were done, and the air conditioning needed nothing but a recharge ( R-12)--it works fantastically! The car has the tilt heel option, remote trunk release, and the 400 V-8 options. It had single exhaust but I upgraded it to dual exhaust. All suspension bushings, bearings, anything that needed replacement was done. The car runs and rides beautifully. If you want all original, low miles, eye-catching car-this one is for you. Thanks and good luck! $500.00 deposit through Pay Pal require. No bids will be accepted from zero feedback bidders. The car is described to the best of my mileage but it is 42 years old so it is being sold AS IS. Inspection of the car is welcome and encouraged! No inspectors will be allowed without a valid driver's license and proof of insurance. Payment must be received within 5 days of the auction's completion. Cashier's Check or cash are acceptable forms of payment.

This was a project car of mine that I was inches away from completion when my company went under, which forced me into a personal bankruptcy because of how the corporation was structured. I had a 1980 Formula Firebird in high school and always had regretted selling it when I left for the military. That prompted me last year to start building the ultimate Firebird with the same year body style. Now I have to sell it, but one day I will get to do it again with a clean slate. Just need to find the right home for it now. So about the car... The body is a 2nd generation F-body (1970 to 1981) and the condition of it is near perfect. There are no visible dents or bending in the body panels. The undercarriage is completely rust-free and the frame is in great shape as well. The wheels are original 17" x 9" snowflake style with gold painted recesses which are worth $900 alone. All models this year came equipped with air-inflatable rear suspension, which with the schrader valve underneath the trunk, can raise the the tail end up considerably which adjusts the comfort of the ride to your liking. The interior is original with power windows, red cloth seats, black carpet and headliner, red vinyl door panels, and red console, red steering wheel and red dash. The trunk still has the protective carpet lining as well. The engine is a rebuilt to performance spec 1976 Pontiac 400 cu. big-block V-8, which I painted metallic rust color. I bought a "Dude-Scoop" from Rick's Auto online to eliminate the true shaker head which hid the whole engine. The Dude-Scoop is a scoop that sits high enough to house a chrome engine filter while instead of attaching to the carburetor like the original shaker, mounts to the underside of the hood. The engine features flat head pistons, a Ram IV performance cam, Edelbrock chrome valve covers, Edelbrock manifold, Edelbrock 650 carburetor that is jetted down 2 for altitude, Flowtech ceramic headers, and a custom dual exhaust made by BDM Exhaust here in Denver, Colorado. Unfortunately I had to incorporate catalytic converters in order to pass emissions (which I never had a chance to attempt anyway). Obviously the cats are easily cut out after inspection anyway. They don't really make much of an impact anyway because I am getting close to 450 HORSEPOWER!!!!! So the things that I haven't finished yet... The urethane body parts such as the front and rear bumpers could use a paint coat with the proper type. Whomever repainted this car didn't use the flexible type, so it has cracking and chipping. The car hood and trunk spoiler could use repainting. There are a few areas with chipping. Again, nothing major. The scoop hasn't been sanded, primed or painted yet.Chrome trim work needs to be fastened better with new clips. The interior vinyl door panels should be replaced with the handles too. Dashboard is cracked. These items you can see in the pictures.Regarding the interior, if I had the funds I would recover the seats with vinyl. This isn't necessary, though. They aren't torn, I just prefer new clean "pleather" look. The emergency brake cable needs to be replaced. It doesn't work currently. The gauges need to be checked and replaced if necessary. The only one that I know of needing replacement is the tachometer. Air conditioning isn't present in this car. It has the connections ready to go, just no compressor kit and radiator. The power window motors probably need replacement. They open and close at a snail's pace. Really, the only two repair items that present a cost impact are the painting and the AC installation (which is an option, not a requirement). This car is my baby. I hate to see it go, but now it is time to man up and save my family, even if it means taking a hit on my investment. Best of luck bidding! -N
