1981 Pontiac Firebird Turbo Formula I bought this car in May 2015. This is what the description said when I bought it. I bought this car in 2011 from a gentleman that was restoring the car. He sent it down to Trans Am Specialties in Florida where they did and amazing job redoing the body. I have a book which I will include with the sale of the car that shows them dissembling the car and restoring it. The paint on the car looks a mile deep. They replaced the door seals and t-top seals, new door seal plates, The interior looks awesome he had the seats re-upholstered, new carpet, new headliner, door panels are original look good except for the chrome strip is peeling some. The center console is average condition which I was going to replace when I got time so it would match the rest of the car for quality wise. The car rides on BF Goodrich tires, He had Trans Am Specialties change out the wheels from the turbine to the deep dish honey combs. The wheels have no corrosion but the cleat coat seems to be spider cracking some, Bryan started restoring the mechanics of the car when I believe he was forced to sell the car because of a divorce, so mechanically the car is in original condition. He ordered the Pontiac historical information packet for the car so there is a copy of the original window sticker, a brochure from 1981, and he assembled what was left of the build sheet. The car is available for inspection at any time, The odometer reads 101,962. I won't release the car till funds have clear my bank! WELLS FARGO I'm selling the car because I am moving. Good vehicle. There is still life left in it. I have replaced bushings in the front suspension like the sway arm bushings. Replaced one strut and tie rod ends. Brakes replaced; transmission filter exchange kit. New front windshield. Prior owner replaced some things also like the water pump, plugs and spark plugs and rebuilt motor (maybe upper and lower head gaskets?), but I don't know because he did not provide receipts. But I do know that the van runs good. The bad: the windshield wipers could use adjustment to work properly, but they still work the way they are; electric side door and locks do not work so it has to be done manually. The driver and passenger doors lock with key and so does the rear door. It may need a new power steering pump, and small oil leak. It has two small dents on rear door, but it is not major, and barely noticeable. The gas gauge works, but doesn't move properly.

Why so much?This has been a long term project car where a lot of time and money has been put into this car and I do not have the time anymore. I also need to come up with the money to find a new home for my family. Selling this car is really my only option right now. Here is some information about the car.The car DOES run well. It was my daily driver for a while. Rebuilt 350 small block bored .040 over, Edelbrock performer intake, Edelbrock 1406 4 barrel carburetor, New Monster 700R4 Transmission, Hedman long tube headers, runs 3" true dual exhaust with Moroso glass packs, factory LSD in the rear end. Runs and drives great Was my daily driver for the last 2 years. Mileage: Rebuilt 350 Engine has about 3500 miles on it and Transmission less than 1500 miles. Gets about 10 MPG in town. 12 to 15 MPG on the highway. Issues:Only real issues with the car are the temp gauge stopped working and the oil pressure sensor is leaking. It needs the front bumper cover put on. I have a front bumper cover ( in a different color) but have yet to find the time to put it on. I also have the correct turn signal housings. I have over $4500 invested in this car so selling it is not easy.
