This is an original Street Wedge Car. 1965 Plymouth Sport Fury w/ it's original 426 Street Wedge motor and transmission. Car has clean registration, Fender Tag, and matching numbers. Console automatic, power steering, and bucket seats. I have a lot of extra parts to go with the car. I have the original carburetor, rear quarter patch panels, trunk extensions, a full after market trunk section, extra tail lights, trim, original antenna, gas / fuel door, dash gauges, and etc. Missing the original distributer, motor needs to be rebuilt ( currently froze up). Frame rails are solid but soft towards very rear. Truck needs total rebuild. There are some holes in the floors. Car was discovered in a storage barn in upstate NY. Barn collapsed and damaged the roof and windshield. Windshield is cracked. Air cleaner is also missing. All in all if you are looking for a rare project, this may be the car for you. I have a lot of pics so please don't be afraid to ask. Car rolls nicely. I can help setting up shipping. Please feel free to ask questions.

INTRODUCTION AND DESCRIPTIONYou are viewing my 1968 Plymouth Fury III Hardtop Coupe. The original color is Medium Gold Metallic (JJ1). It was originally equipped with a 318-V8 engine and was built without air conditioning or power brakes (drums all around). The rear end is the standard (open) 8.75 inch setup with a 2.76:1 ratio. This Fury is being sold without an engine, transmission, or drive shaft as a rolling "project" vehicle. The original 318 was worn-out (I do not have it anymore) so my goal was to go with a modified (340 or 360) powertrain. The engine in it now is a rebuilt 1968 340, with "X" heads, mated to a rebuilt 727 transmission that I am going to use for another project.I bought this car from Georgia in 2001 where it had spent its entire life to my knowledge. I have the original Certicard and owner's manual showing vehicle delivered for $3,387.00 in College Park Georgia on November 22, 1967, The body is largely rust-free. A lot of the orangish-color underside is from the red dirt of Georgia so please note this. This Fury has been in indoor storage since I bought it and hasn't been driven since 2002 when we removed the engine. As shown, there is rust-through in the lower quarters behind the rear wheels (below the lower body line), and surface scale in several places otherwise. The trunk pan is getting thin in a few areas but has not rusted through except in the passenger side wheel well (a 2 inch hole where trunk pan intersects the "hump"). The sub-frame rails and floor pans are in exceptional rust-free condition (additional photos available upon request). There are obvious and assorted dings/creases in the body sheet-metal as depicted that a skilled body person should be able to address. The original interior has significant age and wear-related issues with the door panels, dash pad, and carpeting. The original headliner was replaced by the prior owner with a non-compliant piece. The steering wheel has minor cracking. The windshield requires replacement but the remaining glass is good. Bumpers and trim are still intact and in fair to good condition. The later-years' steel road wheels (and tires) shown DO NOT come with the vehicle and will be sold separately after the vehicle is sold. I will put 15-inch steel wheels (Mopar-brand but not correct for this car) and beater tires on this Fury for easier transport. This Fury III is a reasonable candidate for completion into at least a nice daily driver. Your goals are of course dependent on your own objectives for it (restore, harvest for needed parts, etc.,) but I hope this Fury finds a place where it gets back on the road. Up for sale is a rare 1970 Plymouth Fury III with convertible top. This was the last year that Chrysler offered a full size convertible car until the early 80s. The car was specially ordered with a 383 2 bbl and torquflite automatic transmission. I purchased this Fury from the original owner this past summer after it had been sitting in his garage since 1990 following a complete paint job. He had the entire car painted, purchased a new top and carpets, but never got around to installing them. The new top and carpets come with the car. The convertible top pump and hardware is all intact. I had a lot of fun buying the car and kind of fell in love with the story behind it. It only has 84k miles. After I got it home, I put a battery in the car and verified the engine indeed turns over. The electrical system is in good working order as well. I did not want to suck old gas into the system, so that is as far as I went. I wanted to restore this car myself, but I lack time, space and the fabrication skills needed to rebuild it. The floor, which is the structure of the car, is in pretty nice shape as the pictures show. The main areas of concern are the front and rear unibody rails. The trunk floor is also in pretty good condition. The interior is pretty well preserved since nobody has sat in the car for a long time. I have the original build sheets with the car ( I found 3 of them in the car) and saw that it was a highly optioned car. There are a lot of factory remarks on the bottom of it. When I originally went to look at the car, it was interesting to hear the owner talk about every option the car had and why he chose to order it that way, especially the rare 383 engine. Most of all the Furys in 70 had smallblock 318 engines. Many of the externals on the 383 engine look to be original. I have the original hubcaps, grill, replacement top, replacement carpets, and full interior. All this car needs is a good craftsman to give it the life it deserves. The stainless steel trim and glass are in exceptional condition as well. The bumpers are not perfect but are not rusty at all. It really needs a good metal man. You wont need to track down hard to find parts, because this car is complete. Since the car was last registered in 1990, so it is no longer in the DMV records database. Cars made prior to 1973 did not receive titles, and simply had a sticker on the license plate as well as the paper copy. I have the most current sticker and the license plate, but the paper copy has long been lost. I will provide a bill of sale with the car and the bill of sale I received from the original owner. The new owner should contact their local DMV and obtain the proper forms to register the vehicle in their state. A fellow Mopar nut told me that the front turn signals on this car are the same as the ones used on the superbird making them worth a few bucks. After hearing this, I thought about parting the car out, but I really want to see it go to a good home. These cars are getting rare and I do not want to contribute to their extinction. Please let me know if you have any questions, and I will be happy to answer them.

1966 Plymouth Sport Fury Convertible--Lets start off by saying that I am not a Mopar guy-I sell lots of Muscle cars but this is my first Plymouth so with that being said let me tell you about the car--This car features the original 383 2bbl-It has factory AC, power windows automatic on the floor with bucket seats and console. Power top, power brakes power steering. I would consider this car a nice driver-It runs very good and sounds excellent-With no smoke ticks or knocks-It runs great. The interior is 100% original-the driver seat has some wear, the rear panels have some wear. Like I said the interior is all original. The gas gauge doesn't work. it has an AM radio that does work. It has the power top that works perfect. The top is excellent with a clear plastic window. It also has the boot with it. --The car has been painted at some point and I would say its driver quality and has an excellent shine to it-Its an original yellow car-It must have been done professionally as it looks like the firewall and inner fenders were painted as were the jams-So its a nice paint job-All the stainless is very nice and the chrome is excellent-the bumpers were rechromed-and are excellent--I would say the only thing is the mirrors weren't replaced or redone-and the door handles are pitted-other than those things I would say stainless and chrome are excellent-Like I said the car was painted at some point and I would assume there is some fill in some places. But it seems to be holding up well and has one minor bubble on the bottom of the one side-and like 2 stone chips-The frame on the car is excellent!!! please review all the pics-I had it up on the lift to take these pics and I found 1 minor spot on the passenger side floor pan in the passenger side -please see the picture-I took one up close so you could see it--the rest of the floors look excellent-as do the trunk pan extensions and frame rails-the trunk pan looks good too-Once again please see all the pics and ask for more pics-I will be happy to take more-So all in all not a show car but a driver-that runs excellent and drives down the roads nice-Please feel free to come see the car-I think I have priced it right--and whens the last time you saw one-Once again please review the pictures and feel free to ask questions-I will do my best to answer them
