The car runs very well and the overdrive allows the car to maintain reasonable highway speeds. The original hydraulic brakes are much better than contemporary mechanical units fitted to Fords of the era. The very nice original body, fenders, hood, grille and so forth are all original Chrysler steel. The car was nicely reupholstered recently and the rubberized top material was replaced. The bumpers have been re-chromed. We have met and heard from many different Mopar experts and enthusiasts and learned quite a few interesting things about this car. It was one of these great folks who pointed out to us the car is in fact a relatively rare, mid-year PCXX model. This model was restyled to look much like the new PD, with it's handsome upright radiator shell, a wheel base one inch longer than the initial PC, unique headlamps, and a simple and beautiful dashboard.
