If you're ready to draw a crowd at the next car show then this Valiant needs to be what you pull up in. Yeah, Camaros and Mustangs are cool but the problem with those 60's muscle cars is you are always just another 1 out of 15 parked in line. This Valiant on the other hand is not something you see very often and cars like this always start conversations and stand out among the rest. Not only that, but this unique classic was built to drive comfortably AND it is being offered with a fair reserve Well this classic is ready to go and has some modern comforts to make driving it even more enjoyable. The body of the car is in good condition without any rust or evidence of body work. It is very straight and coated in a nice Sophia White paint that pairs perfectly with the Black vinyl top. The car wears all of its original trim and chrome pieces which have a nice shine. The 3 piece grill looks great up front and is similar to what you would see on an early Barracuda. The car sits slightly higher in the back creating a nice rake on the side profile and rides around on brand new 15 inch Retro wheels with new BF Goodrich Radial T/A tires. Pop the hood and you will be greeted with a fresh 318 V8 motor with only 1,000 miles. It is rated at 300 hp and when sitting behind the wheel you can tell it has some power. It has a great sound through dual exhaust with chrome exhaust tips routed under the rear bumper. The engine compartment has been dressed up to be show ready with blacked out Mopar valve covers, a Mopar air cleaner, nicely painted inner fenders and a polished aluminum radiator but it is more than just looks. It also has some performance upgrades like the Edelbrock Performer manifold and EZ Fuel injection system. Paired to the motor is a 904 automatic transmission that moves through the gears smoothly via a B&M ratchet style shifter and sends power back to the 8 3/4 rear end. A new fuel tank was just installed along with a new internal fuel pump. The suspension was has also been redone with front and rear sway bars. Larger than stock disc brakes are in place up front and the car slows to a stop smoothly and with no noise. It is a very nice driving car that runs around town and down the highway equally as well. The interior of the car is new which includes all new seat padding. It is done in a two tone Blue and Black with ostrich skin style inserts at the top of the seats. The carpeting, door panels, headliner, package tray and dash are in good shape as well. An underdash AC unit is place and blows cold with no issues. A new heater core was added and the heater works great on those cold days. A modern bluetooth radio has been added with a mic custom wired towards the driver so you can use your phone hands free on the way to the show. The cool thing is that the original radio has been left in place so you have the modern feature with the vintage look. The dash features the original gauge pod but a tachometer has been added to the column with aftermarket temp and oil gauge hanging below the dash. This cool classic has a lot going for it and a very cool look. I have documentation of all repairs and would happy to provide to the new owners!!! I can provide you with a link to view the underside of the car when a new exhaust system was installed a couple of weeks ago. If you are a facebook fan, search Viper Motorsports in Weatherford and scroll down for the link. Ebay does not let me post links directly. You can call me directly if you have any questions..817-301-7984-Michael

Only small modifications were made during the 6-year process, either when original parts weren't available or to simply improve drivability. You won't have to chase details like the Coyote chased his dinner: photos and receipts from the restoration are available. The Cool Vanilla paint is as good as any new car. We're hard pressed to find a flaw in it. It's a good look, and the hood vents contrast nicely. Its sharp-looking 17-inch Bandit wheels by U.S. Mags are well suited to this crisp, white car, and modern radial tires won't wander like the old bias-ply type. This is an original Texas car: The seller claims all the sheetmetal is original, with the exception of the front fenders. The originals were in good condition, but had been cut at some point to fit wider tires. Satellite fenders-OEM, not aftermarket-were used instead. The restoration work continued inside with high-quality parts. The restorer sourced new interior pieces from Legendary Auto Interiors that are correct to the car. An aftermarket three-spoke steering wheel features a beefy wooden rim that's a pleasure to look at, and aftermarket gauges mounted under the dash provide a bit more information about the engine's health than the original Road Runner instrument cluster does. An AM/FM/CD player is mounted out of sight, under the passenger seat. The car was originally equipped with air conditioning, and that system has been upgraded on the other side of the firewall with Classic Industries components. That should provide welcome relief for a midsummer drive. Speaking of heat: The 383 cubic inch V8 under the hood doesn't hesitate when it's fired up. This engine, like the rest of the car, is fresh off a rebuild to the original specs, with just 800 miles driven to sort any potential problems. It looks clean enough to eat off of. A Pertronix distributor should make tune-ups a little bit easier, and the Edelbrock 750 carburetor has an automatic choke that works well. It looks extremely clean underneath as well, it appears as if nary a bolt was reused without at least being cleaned. If you're looking for a Road Runner that has been meticulously restored, you've found it. This car is a beauty, and with just a few upgrades done to make it livable in a modern age. It's completely turn-key: Just fire it up and drive it home. If anyone fails to notice you-unlikely as that is-you can always draw their attention with the horn. Meep meep! Today, they're highly-sought collectables due to the fact that the formula still works. This particular Road Runner offers a 383 cubic inch big block, an ultra-clean interior, and several performance upgrades that make it a car that will make you smile every time you turn the key. And it still won't break the bank. This 'Bird was restored a few years ago and the bodywork remains straight and clean, with sharply rendered creases on the quarters and decent panel alignment. The bright Rallye Red paint is decent, and if you're going to drive it, it's ideal; you won't worry about scratches or the weather. These were never intended to be show pieces, and you Mopar fans who were around when they were new already know that they were never perfect, even off the showroom floor. Instead, it has a purposeful look that is ready to rumble, and still presents well running down the road. The chrome and trim remains very nice, and all the proper Road Runner decals are in place. I think more than anything, I appreciate the honesty of this car, because it's just not pretending to be anything other than what it is, and you have to respect the performance for the dollar that it represents. And black racing stripes never hurt, either. Inside, this Road Runner's interior is either a nicely preserved original or an older restoration. The seats have some signs of use, but the wear is comforting, not distracting, and there are no splits or tears in the materials. Bucket seats were new to the options list in 1969, but things like a center console were still optional, so this car does without (remember, it was all about bang for the buck). Factory gauges monitor most of the engine's vitals and of course, no self-respecting street brawler would cruise without a set of more accurate auxiliary gauges under the dash. The original AM radio with its unique thumb wheels remains in the center of the dash, although it's not working so an upgrade might be a smart choice. The trunk is truly massive, even with a full-sized spare tire stashed in there, and this one also features a correct mat and the textured undercoating inside strongly suggest that the quarter panels are original. But the real reason you want to own a Road Runner is that a big block was STANDARD EQUIPMENT. The matching-numbers 383 under the hood delivers smile-inducing acceleration and that wave of big block torque that made these cars so popular with young buyers in the '60s. Painted in Hemi Orange with a familiar black air cleaner and those cool exhaust manifolds, it looks suitably racy and runs superbly. It was rebuilt at some point in the not-too-distant past, and the 383s are legendary for their reliability, so get in and have some fun without worries. The exhaust system offers great-sounding Flowmaster mufflers and the TorqueFlite 3-speed automatic transmission is always a ready, willing, and able partner for fun on the street. Out back, 3.55 gears are a good choice between acceleration and cruising comfort and yes, those are electric exhaust cut outs for those times when you need to make a little noise. Handsome Magnum 500 wheels wear 205/70/14 performance radials that fill the fenders properly and still offer a period-correct look. Big performance, small price. It worked in 1969, and this matching-numbers Roadrunner still delivers today. This particular 1967 Plymouth GTX has just two owners, a rock-solid documents package, and just a single repaint, making it a great car with no skeletons in its closet. You already know we're suckers for Chryslers angular styling, and the '67 GTX was probably the pinnacle of the design, as everything would change in 1968. The GTX is clean but muscular, an insanely attractive combination that includes twin hood scoops and chiseled character lines along its flanks. The car shows about 87,000 miles and we're inclined to believe that's an authentic number, because this sucker is very, very clean. It was repainted once a few years ago in its original RR Yellow, and that repaint is holding up extremely well. The shine is appropriate to the era and while it shows a few signs of use, the look is that of a car that has been loved all its life. There's also a contrasting black vinyl top, which not only give the GTX a grown-up look but also emphasizes the cantilever styling that is this car's hallmark. The chrome and stainless trim is almost entirely original, so there's some wear and tear, but the overall look works really well, with nothing standing out as too nice or too deteriorated. The love shows. The beautiful black vinyl bucket seat interior is completely original, and if that doesn't convince you that this car has led an easy life, nothing will. The seats are in excellent condition with only minor stretching in the front buckets, but otherwise excellent. The tooling down the centers of the seats was a big part of the upmarket appeal of the GTX, and with a center console and a full array of gauges, it feels racy. The gauges themselves show a bit of age but they all work properly and there's always something special about sliding behind the wheel of a quality Mopar and grabbing that oversized wheel. The factory radio is still in the dash, although it's no longer operational, the lone demerit in what is otherwise a very impressive original car. The trunk is likewise well-preserved, with a correct original mat and spare tire hiding underneath. This GTX is fortified with its original 440 cubic inch Super Commando V8, which was rated at 375 horsepower by the factory. The twin-snorkel air cleaner tips you off that this isn't a garden-variety engine, and the unique exhaust manifolds were a hallmark of Chrysler big blocks for several years. The intake manifold has been upgraded and there's an electronic ignition module inside the distributor (the original parts are included with the car), but otherwise it's original and in outstanding condition. Corporate turquoise engine enamel, chrome valve covers, and proper hoses and clamps all give it a proper look and you can't argue with the seamless flow of torque this engine generates. Its' backed by a three-speed TorqueFlite automatic transmission and an 8.75-inch rear end as well as a recent dual exhaust system that sounds just right. The underside is unrestored, so you'll want to skip the mirrors, but there's exactly zero evidence this car has ever seen inclement weather. It rides and handles beautifully and those black Rallye wheels give it a predatory look that suits it just fine. Documented with a Chrysler Corporation Broadcast sheet and original fender tag, this is a wonderfully well documented car that's ready for its third owner to take care of it. Well, today that's only half right, as the fastest of the fast, cars like this Hemi-powered Road Runner, are grade-A collectables that rightfully deserve spots in the very best collections. And hey, if there's a numbers-matching Hemi motor on the side, well, so much the better! Repainted in its original code J Medium Gold Metallic, this gorgeous Road Runner has an awesome low-key look that's integral to its role as a predator. According to Galen Govier, this car is one of only two Hemi-powered Road Runners treated to this paint scheme, and that's kind of a shame because it looks fantastic. Befitting a car with this kind of pedigree, the paint is worlds nicer than it was when it was new, the gaps are exacting, and it has a crisp, sharp look that separates the good cars from the great ones. Those four little letters HEMI spelled out on the hood are the only tipoff that this is the most feared car on the streets of 1968, and by the time you noticed them at the red light, well, it may have already been too late. This one was obviously built for combat, because it uses the standard 2-door sedan body style with a post, making it lighter and stiffer than the hardtop, and even with the blacked-out hood treatment, it doesn't really do much advertising. The paint is gorgeous, the chrome is as-new, and the whole car look ready for the show field, so you'll have to figure out a way to resist driving it every single day. The interior is basic yet effective, offering standard Road Runner bench seats, a column-shifted TorqueFlight, and a minimum of add-ons. Remember, the emphasis was on keeping the price down when it was new, and most buyers understood that adding options not only added to the cost, but slowed the car down. I'm sure that was the deal here, because the Hemi wasn't cheap, yet they only added a tach and an AM/8-track radio to the options list after checking off the Hemi engine. It's all beautifully finished and quite correct, save for the aftermarket gauges under the dash, which are probably a good idea for monitoring the Hemi under the hood. The massive trunk is finished for show, with a correct mat and matching fifth wheel and full jack assembly. The engine is a service replacement block, but the original, numbers-matching Hemi block is included with the car, so there's no doubt that it's the real deal (it's also why it's relatively affordable). The engine is fully rebuilt and totally detailed for show under the hood, including the chrome air cleaner, twin Carter 4-barrel carbs, and wrinkle-finish valve covers. It must have been quite a sight in 1968 to open the hood on this stripper and see the party going on, and the effect today is even more pronounced. Correct details like the hose clamps, plug wires, and even the markings on the firewall give it a very authentic look and it runs superbly. The TorqueFlite 3-speed automatic transmission doesn't seem to mind the torque and there's a rugged 8.75-inch rear end with 3.23 gears on a Sure Grip limited slip. Correct mufflers, a new gas tank, and fully rebuilt suspension components all make for a car that's ready to show at just about any level. And you already know how much we love the no-nonsense look of steel wheels with dog dish hubcaps, especially when they're wrapped in F70-15 redlines. Documented with a reproduction window sticker, Govier paperwork, and restoration photos, this spectacular Road Runner doesn't disappoint, no matter what you plan to do with it. 1967 Plymouth GTX hardtop, matching numbers, 440 CID V8 Super Commando, 375 HP, 4-barrel, 3 Speed TorqueFlite automatic transmission. All original but one repaint, with RR1 Yellow paint that matches the build sheet. Build sheet and fender tag are clean and legible. This GTX is very original, close to survivor, except paint update. This vehicle is in exceptional condition considering it's originality. Automatic, 440 Engine is well preserved and runs great. Based on the shape of the car, I believe the 87K miles is original, but cannot confirm after 48 years. Two owner garaged all it's life. This gentleman's muscle car is the first year the GTX came off the assembly line and is very collectible. It runs great, and easily chirps the tires shifting to 2nd gear. Two documented owners- always garaged. Updated with electronic ignition and intake, but have original parts in boxes. Also have all four original matching steel wheels. Serious inquiries only...

In the early days of motoring, almost every automaker offered some kind of commercial vehicle, and this handsome 1939 Plymouth pickup is not only an unusual find, but also nicely updated with V8 power and modern suspension, all without losing its old-fashioned look. Old pickups always look best in basic Hunter Green, so when this one was going together, that's what they used. They didn't try for a two-tone look, because by 1939, nobody was doing black fenders anymore, and the rounded curves of this neat little pickup show quite well with the bright color. Fit and finish is very good, and you know that it's original steel because reproduction parts for this particular truck are practically non-existent. There wasn't much chrome or brightwork on the truck when it was first built, and things like the grille, bumper, and even the windshield frame are all painted to match the body and the monochromatic look suits this Plymouth just fine. A few bright pieces remain, including the headlight rings, hood ornament, door handles, and the cool Plymouth script on the grille. A custom rear roll pan with built-in LED taillights gives it a clean look, and the bed is beautifully finished with an oak floor, custom stake sides, and a built-in "trunk" that houses the gas tank. Big improvements are found inside, where the original vinyl bench has been replaced by comfortable gray fabric that was stitched in a period pleated style. Full carpets, matching door panels, and even pleated trim on the cab's rear bulkhead helps make it feel luxurious inside, not basic. A GM tilt column is an easy fit and offers a fat three-spoke steering wheel and there's a stubby T-handle shifter on the floor for the TH350 3-speed automatic transmission. The dash is as it was when it left the factory, still filled with original gauges that cover the basics. You'll note the brake and throttle pedals are on opposite sides of the steering column rather than all jammed together on one side or the other, so this truck is comfortable even on long hauls. There is no radio, no heat, no defrost, but this truck is hardly an uncomfortable place to spend some time. To Mopar fans, the 350 cubic inch Chevy V8 under the hood might seem blasphemous, but it's hard to argue with the easy service, plentiful parts, and smooth torque that make the small block V8 famous. It's got all the usual upgrades, including an Edelbrock carburetor and intake manifold, Hooker headers, and plenty of chrome (this is a hot rod, after all), and it looks right under the Plymouth's pointed hood. A big aluminum radiator has no problem keeping it cool and the TH350 3-speed automatic transmission always seems to find the right gear. There's a 10-bolt rear end hanging on original leaf springs in back, augmented by traction bars that are a good idea in a lightweight pickup truck like this. Glasspack-style mufflers add a great cackle to the exhaust and use neat tips that poke through the rear valence. Traditional Cragar mags have a period feel and carry 195/60/15 front and 215/65/15 rear BFGoodrich T/A radials. A neat find for the guy who appreciates the unusual, this Plymouth pickup has a lot to offer. It's stylish, practical, and surprisingly quick, all things that make it endearing to us today. The Road Runner was all about bargain performance, while the GTX was its more sophisticated brother designed to combat the likes of Buick and Mercury. With that in mind, this handsome 1968 GTX combines brute horsepower with some luxury features that make a fantastic way to travel. With a restoration that's a few years old, the subtle GTX still has presence. Finished in Turbine Bronze, which was an available color in 1968, it's a subtle, attractive color that works on the upscale GTX more than on the high-impact Road Runner or other in-your-face muscle cars. The shape was all-new in '68, but the traditional styling cues are still there, from the sleek hardtop profile to the crease in the quarter panel. The sheetmetal is quite straight and clean, suggesting a solid car was used as the foundation for this GTX tribute. The conversion is quite thorough, with proper black rocker stripes and GTX emblems on the grille as well as just behind the doors, although the HEMI callouts on the hood are purely for show. There's also plenty of chrome that's all in very good condition, and I have no idea where they found the GTX-exclusive tail panel, which is virtually unobtainable today. The black vinyl roof gives it a formal look, and it, too, is in great shape. A custom black interior combines original-style patterns with more luxurious cloth seating surfaces on Challenger bucket seats. Not strictly authentic, but certainly in tune with what the GTX was trying to achieve and a big step up from the original vinyl. The upscale GTX vibe continues with woodgraining on the dash, a lot of bright trim, including on the center console, and a fairly complete set of gauges with clear markings. The factory Music Master AM/8-track radio remains in place, and although it's not working any longer I think I'd keep it in place just for the 1960s look. The door panels with their woodgrain inserts look new, as do the carpets, with everything else showing proper care and not a lot of use. The sizable trunk includes a correct mat, jack assembly, and a full-sized spare tire with period inflator bottle. Mopar fans will probably take a quick glance at the VIN and be pleased to see that this is a real-deal L-code car that came with a 440 "high performance" engine. Dressed in Mopar finned valve covers and air cleaner, it makes impressive power and torque using an Edelbrock 4-barrel carb and intake manifold. The combination is very streetable, with endless big block torque available at virtually any speed and the 440 is one big block that doesn't mind revving a bit. The engine bay is nicely detailed, not totally stock, but clean and interesting to look at and 100% operational. It's backed by a 727 TorqueFlite 3-speed automatic, and the factory-issue 8.75-inch rear end out back. A recent Flowmaster dual exhaust system sounds downright wicked, and while you're looking around under there, note that the floors are in remarkably good condition and have been painted to match the bodywork. Staggered Coys alloys look sporty and carry 235/55/18 front and 275/40/20 rear performance radials. The GTX remains a favorite among Mopar faithful, and with the fantastic looks, big block power, and tasteful upgrades, this is a car you can own and drive with pride. Honestly, if you're going to drive a car like this, why not go for maximum impact? You don't see many black ones, and with the excellent preservation on this 3894-mile roadster, it still feels new. Think of it this way: you could have this Prowler with all the amenities, or an unfinished fiberglass '32 roadster kit. Yeah, I thought you'd see it my way. Nothing else on the road before or since has matched the Prowler's sheer audacity. Seriously, look at it: this car is made almost entirely of aluminum and uses a vintage street rod as inspiration, and it was built by one of the Big Three! That took cojones, and history will undoubtedly reward Prowler owners with collectability for their beloved roadsters. From the pointed beak to the minimalist rear fenders that try to cover the 20-inch meats, this car looks fast. Paint it black and it becomes a signal beacon of cool, and thanks to careful ownership for the past 16 years, it remains in almost showroom condition. The low mileage means that it has always been someone's cherished toy, which definitely shows in the superlative condition of the paint, and aside from the exhaust tips, it looks 100% stock. No hot rod ever fit together this well or worked this reliably, and it remains the case a decade and a half later, too. The shape has definitely aged well. The interior is part of what makes the Prowler so special. Forget bench seats, this one is outfitted in state-of-the-art (for 1999) leather buckets and power accessories, so you don't have to put up with inadequate air conditioning and hot shoes in your rod. The charcoal gray leather is in excellent shape with only very minimal signs of use, and everything works as it should thanks to the engineering might of a major corporation behind it. The instrument panel always works best with simple exterior colors, since it was color-matched to the body before being filled with trick white-faced instruments. A/C, a powerful stereo, power windows and locks, and that slick-shifting "Auto-Stick" transmission all make the Prowler a more functional choice for the guy who doesn't feel like tinkering with a home-built rod. A black convertible top was standard equipment on the Prowler, and fits so well that you don't have to worry about the heaviest of rain storms and stows invisibly under the rear deck. Bearing in mind the lightweight nature of the Prowler, the 3.5-liter 24-valve V6's 253 horsepower is more than adequate. It's a tight fit in there, but thanks to a great track record, you won't need to worry about major service for years to come. It starts instantly and idles smoothly thanks to fully-engineered EFI, and going down the road in it takes no more knowledge or skill than your daily driver. THAT's impressive. The transmission works as advertised and with an all-independent suspension and powerful ABS-assisted disc brakes, it handles like a sports car. Borla mufflers were added to give the silky smooth V6 a bit of a bite, and with those mufflers, you'll definitely enjoy the Auto-Stick setup a bit more. But perhaps the car's most outrageous feature are the staggered chrome-plated alloy wheels, which wear 225/40/17 front and massive 295/40/20 rear Goodyear radials. Get in on the fun today and find out just how good an OEM-engineered hot rod can be, especially one that's almost new. With all the advances in horsepower we've enjoyed over the past four decades, there's still nothing like the swell of torque from a well-tuned big block and in the lightweight, stripped-down, street fighter Roadrunner, the effect is thrilling every time you step on the gas. There's a bit of the original Chrysler Corporation broadcast sheet that comes with this car and it seems to suggest that the Mist Green it currently wears is its original hue. It's not flashy, but if you think back to the late 1960s, it must have been very much in fashion and today it's kind of a low-key look that helps stay out of sight when there's this much horsepower involved. The sheetmetal underneath is in good order, with decent gaps and lots of effort spent on getting those massive quarters straight without blunting the wonderful character line that sweeps across the surface. Mist green probably won't light anyone's fire at a stop light drag race, but the finish is sophisticated and unusual and we especially like it without graphics or stripes, which was surely the original owner's intention. Nice chrome bumpers, a few shiny trim bits, and a matching vinyl roof all help with the upscale look that comes at a budget price. The two-tone green interior is nicely finished and uses correct materials and patterns to replicate that late-60s vibe. The Roadrunner was no-frills, of course, but the detailing on the door panels and the modestly convincing woodgrained steering wheel help dress things up a bit. With bench seats and a column-shifted automatic, it's practical, yes, but it's also easy to think of the first owner, maybe a young guy for whom this was his first new car and he wanted some horsepower to go with it, and the Roadrunner was a smart choice. The gauges show bright faces and clear markings, the original Music Master AM radio still lives in the dash with its unique vertical knobs, and things like the seat belts and carpets look almost new. In fact, on a car that was practically advertised by the factory as a blank canvas for modifications, this 'Beeper is shockingly stock inside and out. The trunk is as massive as you'd expect, and includes a rubber mat that fits well. The 383 cubic inch big block delivers the kind of creamy-smooth torque that only lots of displacement can offer. Nicely finished in corporate turquoise paint, the big V8 never feels like it's working very hard but things happen in a big hurry when you bury the loud pedal. Correct details include the black air cleaner and even the orange plug wires, which most folks believe are aftermarket, but that's how they came. Thankfully, it does offer power steering, which is always welcome on a car with a big chunk of cast iron over the front axle, and the TorqueFlite 3-speed automatic transmission never blinks when all that torque is churning through it. It sounds fantastic exhaling through a dual exhaust system with Flowmaster mufflers, and while the undercarriage is probably mostly original, you can see that important things like the gas tank and shock absorbers are recent. Original Magnum-style wheels carry Firestone radials all around that fit well and look right. Not an investment car, but there's nothing wrong with that. Instead, it's still working the original formula: big fun, small price. Taking a full-sized hardtop like this 1966 Plymouth Fury III and dropping a big block V8 under the hood makes for entertaining performance, and the industrial-strength look and two-tone paint leave no question that this is a car built for speed. Bronze was a popular color in the '60s and the full-sized cars like this Fury hardtop seem to wear it best. Of course, the blacked-out hood and matching vinyl top give it a two-tone look that's very effective, and even for a car that's meant to go fast, this one has a very polished look. The paint is in good shape, showing a deep shine that comes from modern materials, and if you're used to seeing dusty-looking vintage enamel on these cars, this one will come as a very pleasant surprise. The Fury was in the middle of the lineup, and wears the cool cantilevered roof line that defined Chrysler styling in the '60s, so it has a familial resemblance but stands out in a crowd. Tidy panel gaps, nice detailing along the lower edges of the body, and, of course, the giant hood scoop all give this car a very dramatic look that whispers performance without being too overt about it. The chrome and stainless trim is quite nice and the vinyl top fits well and doesn't seem to be hiding any nasty surprises underneath. The black vinyl interior is all business, and with a bench seat you know the original buyer's priorities were horsepower, not style. The seat covers are obviously new, with contrasting bronze piping on the seat backs to match the bodywork and new carpets on the floors. The door panels might just be original, and they're in good condition save for the arm rests which are showing their age today. There's also an aftermarket steering wheel, but it blends in nicely with the black interior. Factory gauges flank a cool rectangular speedometer pod and a full set of white-faced Sunpro dials were neatly installed in the dash under the Sony AM/FM/CD stereo. There's also a tach mounted up high by the A-pillar so it's easy to spot. The rear bench is in excellent condition, and again uses bronze piping for some extra style points, and the gargantuan trunk is functional if not fully detailed. The 383 cubic inch V8 makes the kind of fat torque that makes even a big car like this feel fast. It starts easily and idles with a healthy lope that suggests horsepower, not luxury, and it's very cleanly detailed. There's Hemi Orange paint on the block itself, which is topped by a set of finned Mopar Performance valve covers and a matching air cleaner. A Holley 4-barrel carburetor and Weiand aluminum intake manifold handle intake duties, and a set of long-tube headers dump into a Flowmaster exhaust system with tips just ahead of the rear tires. You know it's built for combat with the extra deep groove large-diameter pulleys on the accessory drive and there's a big aluminum radiator up front. The transmission is a bulletproof 727 TorqueFlite 3-speed automatic feeding an 8.75-inch rear end, so the driveline is a known quantity that's ready to play. It's undercoated, so it's not all shiny and perfect, and the stance is perfect with just a bit of rake. Classic Magnum 500 wheels wearing 235/60/15 front and 275/60/15 rear Mickey Thompson Sportsman radials complete the vintage performance look. We love these cars and this one nails the attitude and performance of Mopar in the '60s perfectly. So if it's attention you're craving, check out this 1971 Plymouth Road Runner, complete with Sublime paint, a Go-Wing, and a ton of horsepower inside. The "fuselage" styling has aged pretty well, still looking futuristic and rounded with aggressively flared fenders. Of course, painting anything Sublime green is simply asking for attention, but it's fortunate that this car looks as good as it does if all those folks are going to be staring at it. As a result, the flanks are smooth, the doors fit well, and there are no major issues in the usual spots. The paint looks great rendered in modern materials that give it a shine that was impossible 40 years ago, and a professional buff should make it bright enough burn retinas. The big block hood is dressed up with cool '440' inserts and a black strobe stripe kit that's a big part of the look, plus that satin black wing out back that ties it all together. Both the front and rear bumpers seem to echo each other in their shape, and with bright chrome and nicely polished stainless trim, the car has a great look. Inside, the interior got a mild makeover that's both period-perfect and ready to cater to serious drivers. Buckets and a console make it a desirable car, and the horizontal pleats work well with the '70s theme. Heck, the car's logo is a cartoon bird, a bit of fun with the disco era is definitely welcome! An original wheel frames factory gauges, and the dash itself, along with the console, has been dressed up with some woodgrained appliques that are at least moderately convincing. This one also packs power steering and brakes, as well as an AM/FM head unit in the dash, so cruising is a genuine pleasure. The back seat with its highly sculpted seating surfaces looks like the best seat in the house and there's a taut headliner overhead to complete the OEM look. Revised styling also included a large, usable trunk, which carries a full-sized spare and jack assembly, plus a correct mat that might very well be original. The 440 cubic inch engine is beautifully detailed, and somehow that contrast between Sublime green paint and the Hemi Orange engine always looks incredible. This was originally an N-code high-performance 383 car, but the 440 fits just as well and looks right. They paid attention to the details when it went together, including a twin-snorkel air cleaner with reproduction decals, and it shows only modest signs of use. The 727 TorqueFlite 3-speed automatic is bulletproof and in the Road Runner, offers quick reflexes and relaxed cruising, so you can drive it every day without a penalty. It's not detailed for show, but the underside is quite clean and there's a recent exhaust system that sounds strong without being too loud. Staggered Rallye wheels wear 215/70/14 front and wide 255/60/15 rear BFGoodrich T/A radials, which fill those wheel wells perfectly. Unique, fast, and fun, with just the right '70s outrageousness, this Road Runner delivers in a big way.
