I AS ALWAYS WILL TRY MY BEST TO DO THIS CAR JUSTICE ANDS ACURACY , there is a lot of history on this specific car some based on word of mouth some based on ,past owners ,past people that have worked on the car ,and info from our knowledge of owning it and lastly from the feature write up on the car from HIGH PERFORMANCE MOPAR MAGAZINE it was on cover with full spread story in September of 1998...all info from the magazine is laminated and comes with the car heres what we know the car was originally built by RONN EROH and named MAX WEDGE back in 1991 ,I was able to contact ray barton from barton racing engines ,ronn personally worked on off for ray during the build ,ronn has worked on cars of the likes of sox & martin ,ken Montgomery triple nickel ,jack werst mr 5 &50 ,ronn built this car as an every weekend bracket car ,there is no proven documentation of any current parts or internal engine components being part of any above mentioned names ,the magazine article states jack werst use to drive and race the car for ronn as a few others have along the way as well ,by no means am I trying to pass this car off as a historical piece of nostalgia or celebrity value ,it does have history and it does still remain pretty much the same from the days it was built and raced ,it has past a few owners since ronn and many drivers while ronn owned the car including rays son mike ,jack werst himself al adams and paul majerick ,and bracket raced its entire life ,we obtained it ,we know its has a 498 cu in motor with aluminum indy racing heads custom intake dual carter 750 carbs we pulled the lower pan and everything inside looks very clean and fresh we do not have specifics on the internals of the motor last known mechanic was herm shremmer he can be reached we have talked to him he tells us it still has a r280 roller cam an 8" convertor and a 727 with 245 lower gear ,we have tuned the carbs cleaned the car up some ,put a new wiring harness in the car works off the key has full lights ,rocket wheels front and back mosoro front runners and hoosier street dot slicks in rear which are 29.11.5x15 has a dana 60 with 430 gears and strange axles ,caltrac traction bar setup ,new ball joints up front with wildwood disc brakes drum rear ,msd 7 programmable digital al box ,3.5 " flowmaster full exhaust,15 gallon fuel cell ,front rear window are glass side windows are lexan door windows do go up and down manually ,door wings open /close as well ., the interior has excellent headliner ,the dash is fiberglass with oem non working gauges has aftermarket working gauges water temp fuel pressure ,oil pressure rmp shift light ,has the a/t push button tranny in it with shifter on floor park button is functional on the dash ,full cage with drivers side swing out .all carpet is in great condition floors rockers body is solid ,this car is pretty much in the same condition it has always been seats over the years as stated in article motor been worked over since but the paint is original other than few touch ups here and there ,its old has some spidering in the paint this was an every week bracket car not a show car but again is still very solid car has a quarter size dent in drivers side top roof , a bubble or two left side quarter but does not appear to be a cancer problem ,currently has fiberglass bumpers and brackets on the car steel trunk and hinged hood but also comes with the matching fiberglass hood and trunk lid as well again I can only go by what we have been told about the car the current condition of the car read and go by the magazine article and people ive spoken to that know of ronn and the car ..I will not and cannot speculate on any specifics of the car since the article was back in 1998 we do not know of any current track times on the car we have not raced the car it was raced in past fews years here locally by previous owner and believed to be a best of 9:50-9:80 all day again we have not run the cars for numbers ,I have video of the car starting running and driving I will try my best to upload them or email them we will be considering FULL OR PARTIAL trades on this car for other muscle cars only ...... please ask as many questions as you like I will do my best to answer them all without speculating this is a very cool piece it is a nostalgia super stock bracket car that will run ..as well as can be driven on the street has and is currently tagged titled insured driven raced and shown at car shows GETS ATTENTION EVERYWHERE ,this is not a replica or a thrown together piece of junk it is still very unique and rare to find completed ready to go and it does have some history worth talking about ...
