1949 Ford F-1 Truck, getting hard to find model Ford F-1 pickup truck, very nice older restoration painted hot rod flat black paint. All steel body and fenders, with an all Ford drive train: 302 V8, C4 automatic trans. with “Lokar” floor shifter and a 78 Ford LTD 9” rear end. Front end replaced with a 1980 Camaro (clip) suspension , which gives the truck a nice ride, with power steering, disk brakes and 15” ford wheels. A new gas tank installed between rear frame rails, much safer than the stock behind the seat gas tank which was removed. Some additional 302 V8 motor items, see photos: Edelbrock 4 barrel manifold and Edelbrock 4-V carburetor and, a MSD electronic ignition. The F-1 has a 12 volt system with alternator and “kill switch” plus a electric radiator fan. Nice inside bench seat with seat belts, and nice custom door panels, doors fit the body very even. Very bright new five gauge “Equus” instruments on dash as well as a CD player. Note: The windshield wiper needs repair. In the 2 years I have owned it, I have put less than 15,000 miles on it. It's a bigger truck than I need, hence the reason I am selling it. I want something smaller. Power Windows/locks, cruise, sliding rear window, factory running boards, Billet Grille & Bed Liner. DVD Player w/ iPod input, GPS/Navigation, Hands-free Bluetooth Communication. Tow Package - A/C just serviced and is ICE COLD!! (Replaced compressor, condenser, receiver/drier & orifice tube... have receipts) - Truck has an aftermarket clutch with about 20-25K on it (has a little bit of "gear rattle" in 1st/2nd which is normal for this type of clutch... feel free to "google" it) - All 4 matching All-season (M+S) tires have about 10k on them. - Includes Tow Package, Capable of towing approx. 13,000lbs. 7-plug in bed & bumper, & add'l 4-plug at bumper. No visible wear. CA Smog check and registration just completed as of August 24th. (good for transfer of title for up to 90 days) Only known issues: - Leer Camper shell has a broken rear window/ frame. Can be repaired. Shell is yours at no cost if you want it (not factored into KBB value) - Power steering recently started to whine, but works fine and reservoir is still topped off. So I haven't looked into the issue much. - Dent in passenger bedside. (may be able to pop out w/o bodywork) - Other minor dents scratches (normal wear and tear) - ABS light is intermittent. I bought this truck for my property management business. At the time the engine had a slight rod knock. Since I wanted a reliable truck, I decided to rebuild the engine. So, this is exactly what I did; I paid for the complete and proper engine rebuild. All of the following engine parts are new: all valves, pistons, piston rods, rings, lifters, oil pump, water pump, new catalytic converter i the bank #2, spark plugs and cables, belts, etc. Once more: the engine is practically NEW. This truck is in great shape, better shape than its age and miles would suggest, and for some mysterious reason, significantly cheaper than a similar Silverado 3500. Although 143500 miles is a significant number, consider this: At 60 MPH, this big V10 engine runs at 1700 RPM, while at 70MPH, engine is at only 1900 RPM. There is no rattling, no strange noises. The mighty V10 is quiet and powerful The transmission is smooth. If I do not press hard on the gas pedal, it shifts early and quietly saving gas in the process. In the city, again, if I do not step on it, the engine will hardly ever pass 2000 RPM while having decent speed and acceleration. Tow package includes two types of electrical connectors and an additional transmission oil radiator. Front differential locks manually. Long bed New battery New spark plugs and air filter Big Foot tires have about 30% thread left. There was some paint pealing on the front bumper, so I sanded the bumper and prepared it for painting.
