I'm selling my 2003 Silverado 1500 LS Extended Cab because I'm buying a Silverado 2500HD. The truck is in very good condition, but it does have a few body dings and two small dents due to typical wear and tear (a shopping cart once rolled into the front right passenger door). The truck has NEVER been in an accident and NO rust. The interior is in excellent condition - No tears or stains. I am the original owner and maintained the vehicle myself since new. I have always used Mobil 1 oil and top-quality transmission fluid. The engine uses less than half a quart of oil between changes. The vehicle has been completely reliable since new. The steering shaft has a bit of a "clunk;" lubricating the shaft temporarily fixes the clunk, but this issue is a common problem with the Silverado. The original steering shaft was replaced under warranty, but it started "clunking" not long after it was installed. I had new Michelin tires installed 17,000 miles ago and I just replaced all four tie rod ends (only the inner tie rod ends had some play, but I replaced all four) I installed new brake pads and rotors at the beginning of the summer. I installed new shocks three years ago. I occasionally used the vehicle to tow a 19.5' 3,500 lb. fiberglass 5th wheel trailer, hence the 5th wheel hitch rails mounted in the bed (search for Escape 5.0 for more information about the trailer) . Because I'm now planning to do significantly more traveling with the trailer I'm purchasing a used Silverado 2500HD Duramax pickup... It's a lot more than what's required for a small trailer, but who knows what I may want to tow in the future. Otherwise, I would not be selling the vehicle.
