For Sale - 1954 Packard Convertible Model Number 5479 This is a nice driver quality Packard that has had a lot of mechanical work done to it. It starts, runs and drivers like a dream. I drive it all the time. I had my mechanic go through it a couple years ago and put new tires on it, new brakes, new exhaust, rebuild the starter, the hydraulic motor for the top and go through and adjust or repair anything mechanical that needed to be done. The chrome is presentable with one rear dagmar that could be replaced. The paint is presentable for now but really could use new paint job. The window, top and seat cylinders all need to be replaced to get the windows to operate again. The hard part of this job is the hydraulic cylinder, which has already been done. Radio and Antennae don't work. Ultramatic transmission works great If you are looking for a car that is well sorted out mechanically that you can drive today, this is your car. There are a lot of projects out there for sale that will end up costing more than this car does to get them in similar condition. Plus, you don’t know what else needs to be done to get them on the road. I’ve identified what I know still needs to be done to this car. I’ve priced it accordingly.
