Bumper Guards, Trim Rings, Pelican Hood Ornament, Radio, Clock . Thecustom eights were poised at the top of Packards \'Production\' model lines. The discriminating luxury car customer from 1949 would have compared a super deluxe eight against Cadillacs series 60 special, while leaving the less impressive Lincolns and Chrysler New Yorkers off the list. Thecustom eight was lavishly appointed with extensive chrome cladding, premium wool upholstery and gorgeous interior woodgrain trim.The automatic ultramaticand 3 speed manual overdrive transmissions were mated toPackard\'s larger356 cubic inch Packard straight eight engine.Thecustomeight touring sedan featured here is a handsome original with good paint and chrome. The highlight of this car is the attractive beige broadcloth and woodgrain trim, appearing in very good to excellent condition. The intrinsic lengthwise-seamed headliner is as tight as new with no unsightly stains from moisture or cigarette smoke. The black paint shows normal wear but is quite presentable, likewise with the chrome which holds a bright luster. The engine runs good with engine compartment in good cosmetic condition. The car made a relatively long trip to our showroom driven by it\'s previous owner. The 1955 Packard Patrician was Packard\'s top of the line luxury 4 door touring sedan. Continuing from previous years with a dynamic face lift by designer Dick Teague. The new design had elements of the Caribbean and was much like the competition luxury liners. Bold grill work, cathedral tail lights, advanced torsion suspension with self leveling, new OHV 352 cid V8 245 HP shared with the sporty Caribbean\'s. The interior trim and exterior were muted in keeping with Patrician\'s class image. This Patrician a well kept straight, good fit sedan with new paint, chrome, interior andtires.
