This car is a barn find that has been off of the road since 1967 and was driven to the spot where it was parked. The previous owner said the engine was overhauled about 1000 miles before it was parked. I put a battery in it and hit the start button (flooring the gas pedal) and the motor turned over. The body is in good condition and has only minor damage that I can see. I don't think the car has ever been repainted so there is nothing crazy lurking under 10 layers of paint or bondo. What you see is what is there. The driver side fender was dented and has been pounded out and will need some more straightening. The right rear quarter panel and rocker panel have been munched but nothing that is not fixable. There is some chrome damage and some trim is missing. The grille has some crunch damage in the left front. Fortunately the front end is the same as any other 50 packard 4dr so parts should be easy to come by. The interior has some mouse damage and will need to be redone but it is complete and the seats are still covered so the upholstery underneath would at least be usable for patterns, maybe more. I have found one rust hole under the front of the driver seat, I have not taken the carpet or floor mat out and do not intend to unless someone requests it. Some of the knobs on the dash have been broken but most are in good condition. When I hooked up the battery the map light under the dash came on so I think the electrical is in OK condition. I didn't check everything it the juice did go around the system. The tranny is a 3spd O/D and the shifter moves easily. When I loaded the car all the tires held air and all four wheels rolled easily up on to the trailer. The trunk looks solid inside and out. The tire jack is even still there. One hubcap is missing. The title is clear and I have a key. I have looked all over for another 2dr like this and I have not seen any. This is a great builder car might not need much to be running and driving.
