Designed by famed coachbuilder Derham, this luxury sedan was one of the most elegant body styles to appear on any automobile of the pre-war era. The Packard 160 and 180’s were powered by the famous Packard straight eight engine. For 1941, Packard's “19th Series” cars featured fenders which now incorporated the headlights, pushing the radiator forward and giving the cars the illusion of more length and more elegant appearance. Look at this very cool looking Packard Super Eight Deluxe. This rare model has the special trim and front and rear checker pattern bumpers. It also has the larger straight 8 (356), not the smaller 327 engine. It has a 3 speed transmission and overdrive and purrs and drives like a cloud. You can go anywhere with style in this automobile. The dash blue paint is near perfect and was done by its longtime owner many years ago. The interior is all original. The wood and all trim is in good shape and all there. This car is very hard to find with no rust. It has been garaged its entire life. Drive this car as you tinker with it and you will never want to sell her. She sounds and drives like a Packard should. Remember, Packard was the All-American Rolls Royce and are getting increasingly hard to find in this original condition. For additional information, contact Rick at 860-227-2487. This car is also listed for sale at the Essex Motor Club. Listings may be withdrawn at any time. All cars are described to the best of our ability and are sold as is. All sales are final. It is the responsibility of the buyer to inspect and pick up. Kindly do not bid unless you intend to complete your obligation as this is a binding contract as intended by eBay.
