Brought back from the dead to true life .. Completely rebuilt from junk , 324 engine bored 30 over , all new parts , hardened seats , guides ,valves to burn new fuels , reground cam from Comp Cams with a little added performance ,but no lopes at idle ..Plenty of power when needed through the 4bbl carb .. Exhaust ports in the intake have been blocked since its ran only in summer and auto choke is not needed ,but is still intact .. New oil pump ,maintains 40psi .. Newly rebuilt Hydramatic transmission ,new brakes ( manual ) , lines ,master , cylinders . Body was chemically stripped , not blasted . Epoxy primer ,and sealants ( PPG ) were used . Three coats Basecoat ,both white and Blue .. Four coats of Epoxy clear mixed with Pearl Blue Mist over White basecoat .. Four coats of Epoxy clear mixed with White Pearl over Blue .. Four coats of Clear epoxy over both ,all sanded with 2000 grit , and buffed with three different levels of compound .. All new carpet , interior kick pads , original to the period seat covers .. Power Steering only .. Replaced the hood and right front fender , grill letters .. Front and rear bumpers rechromed , grill rechromed .. Have won many trophy's at car shows . Lots of comments everywhere I go ...Not very many of these around any more ..Out of 550,000 built for 1955 ,not many seen .. Car drives great , lots of power , and I do not abuse it .. Never been driven in rain , only in fair weather , stored in garage ,covered .... Not a off frame restoration ,but real close .. Have pictures during restoration process .. Has Am-FM Stereo that I replaced from original .. 45 watt four speaker system with Ipod Adapter and auxiliary jack for CD player .. I have Am radio that goes with it .. Shop manuals , Body parts manual , operators manual , lots of spare parts ..I'm at the point in my life where I can't take care of it like I should . I've had it 20 years ,really enjoyed it ,now its time to let someone else have some fun .. I still start it once a week and still go to local cruise ins .. When the local shop changed the oil last month , I thought I should give it up if I can't do it ..
