1976 Oldsmobile Toronado Description: This is a one owner, low mileage, original paint Toronado! This is the Second generation of the Toronado when it morphed more into a “GT” style luxury car. Powered by a 455ci powerplant what more could you ask for! Everything in this car is original! everything works! She is a Fully loaded Oldsmobile that is sure to turn heads while you drive it down the coast. This is like driving your couch down the highway. Interior: The interior of this car is in Mint condition, Original with no tears or stains! The dashboard is in excellent condition as well. It is like a time capsule. Nothing like getting in your Land Yacht and turning on the Ice cold A/c and cruising to your destination. This Oldsmobile can be driven anywhere. It is in fantastic shape. Carpet has no stains, there are no foul odors, and the headliner is in phenomenal shape. It is getting harder and harder to find something of this Caliber, this was the top of the line Oldsmobile at the time! Exterior: Exterior is in great shape! It even has the original Dealer installed Pinstripes, not vinyl. Only imperfection I can see is a small bubble on the drivers rear quarter, which can barely be seen, other than that is like new. It is a “Cream Puff” with the original paint. Tires are new, and it drives perfect down the road. All exterior chrome is in great shape as well. Drivetrain: Engine and trans are original and unmolested, No smoke or knocking! It fires up every time and is actually very quiet. Trans shifts perfect, I do not see any leaks underside. Overall it is a great driver, all the windows operate as they should as well. Front C/V boots look good with little to no wear, Brakes are in great shape as well and stop this Barge quite well! no warped rotors or bad Drums. This truly is a Turn key cruiser! All Lights work as they should. This is an original A/C car and we will include the bracket for the compressor along with the compressor lines. When you sit inside this car it just makes you want to cruise the coast! Exterior: This 442 is one sexy car, all the lines are straight and there is no Rust! Front and rear bumpers are newly re-chromed, New front grille, New headlight assemblies and taillight bezels and lenses.The exhaust tips are properly located and look very aggressive, and all the panels look to line up very well. All emblems are in great shape. The paint shows very well and I would rate it a 7.5 out of 10. It is not a concourse car but it looks very good. It was painted over 1 year ago with the correct factory Saffron paint code. You will get nothing but complements when it is on the road. If you do not like attention this car is not for you. Drivetrain: Powered by a healthy numbers matching 400ci, 350 hp powerplant that is fed by the factory Rochester 4 barrel carb, it has plenty of pep. The power is put down by a TH400 transmission, this is one of the stouter ones produced and used in Larger vehicles, they even used this transmission in the Military Humvee! This 4-4-2 has power steering and power brakes. We went through this whole car, all new filters, belts, hoses, spark plugs, wires, distributor cap and fuel pump. Anything that was excessively worn was replaced. Tires are new all around. (BF goodrich) We adjusted the idle and jets so it would run nice and smooth. It does not overheat even in the Florida heat. The motor is cold natured and needs to be warmed up for around 45 seconds prior to engaging in enjoyable activities.
