For sale is a great piece of history. Coming from a collection of cars from a California estate in which the owner passed away, I owned it for some years, and now it is your chance! Nearly 40 years old, this 1977 Oldsmobile Delta 88 Royale Indianapolis 500 Festival Pace Car is a great car that is not only all original, but very presentable and very functional- ready to cruise in! This car has been a California and western car its whole life and is very rust free and the sheet metal is in amazing condition especially for its age. The underside is immaculate and has probably the very nicest undercarriage I have ever seen on a classic car. 44,000 miles. Sunroof works. Carpet and headliner are great. Black is still original paint which is absolutely amazing to find! (Does have crows feet especially by the rear side windows, I think this was a factory recall or defect on many of these), the silver was faded and so it was painted over. Decals and stripes are great. The dash pad has cracks so it would be nice to replace it eventually for cosmetics. The interior is original, so expect wear, but still nice. There is some sunfade on interior by rear window, etc. A dent in deck lid, a couple dents from something in the trunk, a few door dings, one slightly worse door mark, but really nothing major at all. I just can't tell you how many compliments I get everywhere driving this, way more than driving a 70 442 w30! You just don't see these around, and if you do see them, they are in a shed, not drivable, needing everything, rust buckets, and not sunroof cars. Very, very few miles on the tires! This is the best Delta Pace car you will find for price! I have enjoyed this for years and now I would like to find a new home for it. I tried to do my best to describe the condition of the car.
