1970 Oldsmobile 442 W-30 Holiday Coupe Original Survivor - I purchased this car in 2011 from the second owner since 1972. It was sold new on December 17, 1969 at Biddulph Oldsmobile in Glendale, AZ, and then on June 27, 1972 at Trickett, Oldsmobile in Nashville, TN. 100% numbers matching born with driveline and W-30 related components throughout - no exceptions! The engine has never been removed. Very RARE special order Sebring Yellow, white stripe, white interior, 4 speed car. 100% rust free original no-hit sheet metal. Unrestored with one re-paint in the mid 80's which looks excellent! Original stripes, jams, and trunk have never been touched. All original interior with a Sun Super Tach which was purchased by the original owner. All lights, gauges, turn signals, AM radio, etc... work perfectly. Original glass including windshield, optional Delco Pleasurizer shocks, T-3 headlights, open face alternator, starter, radiator, and spare/jack/tools are original to the car. Complete no excuse documentation includes three build cards (which were photographed as they were removed from the interior), protect-o-plate, owner protection plan, purchase agreement, complete owners manual/literature, original interior delivery tags, dealer sales material, etc.... I am selling my dream 442, its a 1970 2 door holiday coupe. I used it once this year and decided to sell it to someone who would get the most out of it.I bought it from second owner, he gave me a book of receipts on everything done to car. It is in great shape, had one paint job in late 80's. Painted same original color. It could use another paint job and very minor body work. small rust front fenders, I will send pics. It is numbers matching and runs great, I just replaced the original quadrajet(will ship with car) with a quick fuel. Rebuilt 442 Clone. Engine is awesome. Very strong. 455 motor has been bored with new racing cam, new lifters and rocker arms. All aluminum top in kit with aluminum heads and intake. Dual electric fans with desert radiator. Engine sounds awesome. Turns a lot of heads. Bucket seats, shift kit, custom console with new gauges and cup holders. Cold A/C. Bluetooth stereo with Rockford Fosgate sub. Hood is non-functional air induction, fiberglass. There are a couple dings and scratches but very minimal. Always draws a crowd at car shows. 1970 was the height of performance for American Muscle Cars. To keep up in the horsepower arms-race, General Motors dropped the cap on engine size in 1970 and Oldsmobile responded by making the Olds 455 V8 the standard 4-4-2 engine. Output was 365 hp, with 500 ft./ lbs. of torque. A “rocket ship” was launched. In recognition of the 1970 revised body style and increased performance, the Olds 4-4-2 was awarded Pace Car duties at the Indianapolis 500 race in 1970. Motor Trend praised the 4-4-2, stating that "it's probably the most identifiable super car in the GM house” and those seeking to experience the ultimate in performance from Oldsmobile could order a "W-Machine" version of the 4-4-2, dubbed the W-30 package. The 4-4-2 W-30 added a fiberglass hood (option W25) with functional air scoops and low-restriction air cleaner, aluminum intake manifold, special camshaft, cylinder heads, distributor, and carburetor that increased the horsepower to 370hp. Oldsmobile’s “King of the Hill”, the 1970 442 W30 is one of the quickest production Olds ever built. Being offered for sale is a Sherwood Green 1970 Olds 442 W-30 “Holiday Hardtop Coupe”, with the W-35 rear spoiler. This car is nothing less then exquisite. Beautifully restored, very original, with complete owner history from dealership delivery, this 442 W30 is a “show stopper.” One of 1,032 4-Speed “Holiday Hardtop Coupe” W-30s made in 1970, this car has approximately 87,000 miles and received a complete body-on restoration from nose to tail, with absolute attention paid to detail and originality. The body is laser straight, with all joints and body panel seams lining up perfectly. The Sherwood Green exterior finish is flawless, with correct white striping. The bumpers have been properly restored and present in excellent condition. All the original parts on this restoration have been bead blasted and repainted to factory specs. Where parts needed to be replaced, only NOS or the highest quality replacement parts were used. The 455 ci, 370hp “F” head engine, with correct ram induction system and fiberglass hood, was completely disassembled and rebuilt (rings, bearings, factory spec’d cam) re-assembled and painted to factory finish. The block is a non-numbers matching piece. All other engine components are original factory numbered parts. The original red plastic inner fenders are in excellent condition. The car has a new correct battery and cables. The front end suspension was completely dissembled, all parts bead blasted and repainted to factory finish. New control arm bushings, ball joints, correct spiral shocks, tie-rod ends, sway bar bushings, rubber bumpers, rotors and brakes. The front calipers and steering box were rebuilt. The interior was completely restored, with re-upholstered front bucket seats and rear seats, new head liner, new carpet, new center console shifter boots ( upper and lower), and re-conditioned Hurst shifter. The glove box shifter console, imitation wood inlays, dash vinyl, carpeted door panels and seat belts are in excellent original condition, as is the original interior chrome and seat chrome. The trunk surface was prepped, repainted and clear coated with correct color trunk paint. The car has a new correct Goodyear raised white letter spare tire mounted on correct re-conditioned / painted SS II wheel, with all chrome trim. The trunk has a new correct fabric mat, with an optional rubber “OLDSMOBILE” trunk mat laid over the fabric mat, a new jack, lug wrench and spare tire mounting hardware. The underbody floor pan and frame present in excellent, as new condition. A clearly exceptional 1970 Olds 442 W30, this car appears on the cover of Muscle Car Magazine under the title “Kings of Woodward Ave.” and must be seen in person to be appreciated for its outstanding quality. Description:Price reduced for a quick sale; pampered 1970 Oldsmobile 442 Holiday Coupe finished in its original color combination of Sherwood Green with (light metallic mint green painted stripes) and black interior. This Olds was treated to a complete restoration with less than 5,000 miles on it. Starting with a solid body featuring all of its original panels. The inner door frames, interior trunk and engine compartment still has its original paint. This car is laser straight, with a $20k paint job that is immaculate and all the gaps line up better than new. Underneath car no visual sign of body work. This 1970 442 came equipped with the legendary 455 cubic inch big block V8 and this one is mated from the factory with the more desirable 4-speed manual. Power steering, posi traction, and a 12 bolt rear are all there in this 442. The interior features original bucket seats, and the original AM/ FM Delco radio (radio works fine but reception is not great because of the built-in front glass antenna). The only notable item not functioning is the clock (Tic Toc Clock). This is a 442 optioned with all original W30 parts (factory air induction fiberglass hood, factory red plastic front fender wells) I was told on this 442 the original 1970 W30 parts were installed at time of delivery (not reproduction parts). Numbers matching engine. The car is in excellent condition . Prior to it's restoration this 442 has had a charmed life; it was a professionally drag raced car. Disconnected line lock is evident.That is one of the reason this 442 remained in very original and great condition. All metal appears original and 90% of the glass is original. This car has been in a climate controlled indoor garage since restoration. NO ISSUES! High End car cover included. The day you receive this car, you can take it off the trailer and drive it to your local car show and it will either place or win the show. It is a head turner and drives beautifully. The car can be driven cross country without an issue. This numbers matching 442 Olds is as owning a new 1970 442 Oldsmobile with 5,000 pampered miles.
