1967 Oldsmobile 442 Convertible Matching numbers low miles! This Matching numbers 442 convertible was redone from frame up in December of 2008, car has less than 75,000 miles on it and Motor has less than 5k since being redone. This is one very few manual 4 speed transmissions made with beautiful Hurst shifter. Restored as close of possible to its Original state it is like driving a piece of history and turns heads and starts conversations everywhere it goes. I have tons of documentation on the car and its history as well as the original owners manual. Has had only one owner since restoration has been garaged entire time and only driven on special occasions. This absolutely beautiful Matador Red looks amazing with the white stripes on the W25 OA1 hood and along the sides of the car. Also featuring a white, power convertible top and immaculate Pearl interior, this car is a true show stopper. The 442 went through a 10 year, rotisserie restoration that was completed in 2005. Only 500 miles have been driven in this beauty since the restoration. The matching numbers 455/370hp was rebuilt during the restoration. Mated to the original Muncie 4 speed and 3:42 Positrac rear end. Riding comfortably on Goodyear G70-14 Polyglas tires and SSII Wheels. Many consider the 1970 442 the pinnacle of performance for Olds. GM dropped the cap size on the motors in 1970 and Olds responded by making the 455 the standard engine in the 442 models. The revised body style and increased performance resulted in the 4-4-2 being awarded pace car duties at the Indianapolis 500 race in 1970.Motor Trend praised the 4-4-2, stating that "it's probably the most identifiable super car in the GM house". This is possibly one of the best documented 442's available. Just out of restoration, nothing was missed on this amazing car. The buyer receives the protect-o-plate, window sticker, title in the original owner's family name, original sales paperwork, as well as all of the receipts and information from the restoration. The original, Jetfire 4bbl, 400ci/350hp engine was completely rebuilt, along with the original Turbo Hyrdra-Matic transmission. The car was fully restored to be just as it was from the factory. Refinished in a show quality paint job that is the original color of K-2 Aquamarine with black vinyl top and hand painted black pin stripe. The almost impossible to find, O.E. 14x6 wheels were refinished and there are also a couple sets of the "Simulated Wire Wheel" hubcaps that are not on the car. The interior was done to original as well, black vinyl with black carpets and panels. Original style dual exhaust. It's amazing seeing how this car would've looked on the showroom floor at Bradley Oldsmobile, in Tulsa OK where it sold new. This car is truly beautiful and the attention to detail is second to none.
