To begin, there is a BUY IT NOW price on this ULTRA RARE car that may or may not appear on the main screen. The price will be good for the entire sale up until the last 12 hours, after which eBay will not allow me to end the auction. To be fair, you should know that ALMOST ALL of my cars sell with the BUY IT NOW option so don't wait until the last minute to bid as it may not be available by then. The BUY IT NOW on this car is $48,000.00 and that INCLUDES free delivery to anywhere in the continental USA. I will also discount that price by $800.00 if you want to come and pick it up. Sorry but I cannot include Alaska and Hawaii in free delivery. I may be able to include some parts of lower Canada. Please see details below on delivery. As an offer of extra security to distant bidders, I want to make it plain that I am not in the business of misrepresenting my cars like some folks do. I try to list every single that there is to know about the car. I am human and can miss something but I do personally inspect, drive and check-out each and every car that I put on eBay. If there is ANY problem that I can find, it will be listed. It will also be address, when possible. If you buy the car and make the required deposit, when you come to get the car, if there is an issue that I was not aware of, you will have the option to walk away and get every cent of your deposit back. Now I cannot be responsible for your transportation cost but I am not EVER going to keep a deposit if the car is not right. This does not cover items that are mentioned in the description or that should be plainly visible or for silly things like you or the wife do not like the paint color or the way the seats "feel". But it is intended for items that may have been missed that have a serious impact on the car's value or function. I will do my best to correct anything that I did not notice or I will refund the deposit. If you are having the car delivered, different circumstances apply but that is covered below. How many times have you, like me, sat and watched the latest Barrett-Jackson Auto Auction and said to yourself, Man! I wish I could have one of those cars! Well, here is your chance. This car is Barrett-Jackson quality. This auction is for a damned nice 1966 Oldsmobile 442 with the RARE Club Coupe package and the highly desired 442 options. This is the most highly prized vintage car models out there. The car is documented by GM as one of only 5 ever made. They said it could be a one of one but they were more comfortable saying one of 5. It is the only known model that still exists. Please note that this is a club coupe. not a two door hardtop. There is a pot behind both door, unlike a hardtop.This beautiful car only has 10,728 miles showing! It has been completely restored and is a pretine example of the model. It won 1st place in numerous shows across the country and is a beauty in person. The known details of the restoration and modifications are listed below. The exterior of this classic is actually much better than new. It is a brilliant bright white and the paint and body are as close to perfect as you will find. I hesitate to say flawless only because someone will find some tiny nick that I missed so we'll just say nearly flawless. There is absolutely no damage anywhere on the entire car. The paint is great with a high gloss and no problems at all. NO dents, nicks, paint issues, dull spots, runs, overspray or other issues. This was a high-end professional restoration done with NO expense spared, There is no evidence of ever having previous damage. It is the 442 model and the car has all the correct emblems attached. It is also the added club coupe,as seen in the photos. All of the emblems are in perfect shape. The chrome has all been professionally replated or replaced with top quality NOS style items. The car also has new rubber seals throughout. The door, hood and trunk jambs are in perfect shape and I have extra photos of them, if you need them. They open and close so easily it's spooky! This car is an original 442 and not some made-from-extra-parts car. It has a numbers matching 400 with the rare automatic trans with column shifter. The floors are great and the trunk bottom is perfect. I also have photos of those. I can only put 24 pics on eBay so if you want more, I will have to send them to you. The car has new perfect condition Olds 551 wheels with new P225/75R14 black letter tires, both of which give it a great look. THESE WHEE;S WERE $80.00 each. I have found absolutely no issues with the car at all. I drove it extensively to see how it was before listing it. It was great! Started easily, ran strong and handled wonderfully. I want to emphasis that this car is NOT some hack job like you sometimes find on here. This is about as nice a restoration that you will find unless you spend $100,00.00 on the car and having it done. The rain gutters are totally clean and well done, Body seams are perfect, body gaps are likely better than they were from the factory, paint is better than factory as is the interior. Again, I have many photos that I can send and will take others if you need them. I have included a close-up of the firewall tag so those of you who are interested can research the car on your own. I do know that the firewall tag is easy to read and you should have no trouble with it. There is absolutely no body filler on the car and it has never had a spot of rust! On to the interior. This one has the totally cool FACTORY red and darker red vinyl interior that is absolutely perfect! I have photographed more than 100 classic GM cars and trucks over the last few years and this is the only one that has had this vintage, original interior. Most people just go with the plain black vinyl but these folks did it right! It is the exact interior the car was made with and not redone!.The outer edges of the seats are dark red and the inner sections are the darker red stripes. The door panels match the seats and are perfect, however they have been redone. The dash is great with no wear, cracks or fade. It has perfect shape and has not bent like so many of them do in the center. This car has the extremely rare and original column automatic shifter, as seen in the photos. The dark red carpet is original style and is in great shape. Some of the photos may show the carpet to appear faded but that is not the case. It is just the camera flash glaring. The carpet is in new condition and perfectly colored. The car also has correct vintage type floor mats. Correct manual windows and locks and manual remote adjust on the driver's outside mirror. It also has a power antenna. They all work, as well. The car has a factory AM unit in the dash. It is a high-end car that really stands out. The interior is in GREAT condition. The headliner is also in new condition and the car has the correct lap seatbelts. The interior on this car is one of the things that makes it special. It is a beautiful design with comfortable seats and a great appearance. I know I am going to get a hundred questions on whether the numbers match on this car. The answer is absolutely yes!. It has been documented through Oldsmobile to be numbers matching with the original engine. And now for the mechanics. Ths car has enough power scare your friends! It is the original 400 small block and it is connected to a 400 turbo 3 speed automatic transmission. Both have been rebuilt and both operate well. The engine and engine compartment are restored to the same quality as the rest of the car. The entire engine is balanced and blueprinted and those papers come with the car. It has a Lumanti carb. There is an electronic cooling system for extra protection, as seen in the photos. It has headers that lead to a full lenght stainless steel dual exhaust with chrome tips. There is a great sounding rumble to it. It is not too loud but gets the proper attention. Again, I have numerous other photos. The car has factory power steering, power brakes and an aluminum mid-rise intake. The engine runs cool, has great oil pressure and no internal noise. The trans shifts well and grabs as it should. The car also has an aftermarket tach and a set of extra gauges under the dash, just t be sure! All could easily be removed.. The rearend is a 10 bolt but to be honest, I do not know if it is a posi or limited slip. I forgot to check when I was with the car. Again, this car only has 10,728 miles showing. These are the originals miles! The engine runs like it is brand new and of course. there are no leaks or problemfos of any kind. The car is beautiful and ready for you to enjoy as a showpiece or investment! For those who love t o research, the block number is 390925E and the head number is V12104. It does have factory lap seatbelts (that's all it was made with and all that is required) and but no airbags (SRS) (it was not made with any) and is not required to in any state. due to the age of the car. * Will this car pass emissions in my state? I have no idea. I am in Kentucky and we have no emissions testing here. I have no way to test it for any state and I have no idea what your state requires. Some states make exceptions for antiques. It is 100% up to you to check on these items for yourself. If you buy the car, you buy the car. It will be your responsibilty to make it meet whatever requirements your state has. There may be no changes that need to be made since it is an antique but keep in mind that you will not be allowed to back out of the sale should you not put any effort into finding out BEFORE you bid. I don't mean to sound like a jerk here but the last time I failed to mention this I had an idiot in California complaining that their 1978 VW Beetle convertible did not have a catalytic converter on it! They were not made with converters in 1978 and there is NOTHING I can do about it. * Will you ship internationally? Yes, I will but it is your responsibility to find out the costs. I am happy to help make the arrangements and have shipped numerous cars internationally. If you use the Buy It Now, or pay extra for me to do it, I will get it to a shipping port. Please understand that a price a shipper gives you is from a port city. We are not on the ocean and the car will have to be transported to the port. That will be extra. They really like it and want me to buy it for them. This simplest answer to this is that you would be an idiot to buy a car like this for a teenaged driver. Not only is it too expensive to put a young person in, it is WAY to powerful and would just be plain dangerous. This is a classic vehicle and young people need to be only passengers in it. They DO NOT have the experience required to control this car, and yes, that includes your child. I don't mean to sound like an ass but I am stunned at the number of adults who write or call me when I run a car like this and want to put a teenager in. Young drivers have no idea what is involved in caring for a car like this nor the amount of money needed to keep it nice. Parents should use their heads and put junior in a Honda or Toyota and leave cars like this to experienced owners and drivers. Again, DO NOT buy this car for a young person! The car is up to par but, to be direct, your teenager is NOT! * Do you have any documentation on this car? I have tons of documentation, paperwork, research and awards. All will be provided to the new owner. I have numerous photos of the underside of this car and many of other sections. I will be more than happy to send them to you but you will have to send me your direct e-mail address. I cannot send photos through the eBay mail system as they will not allow it. The details are simple. If you use the Buy It Now, I will deliver the car anywhere in the mainland US for free. I may be able to include lower Canada but you must check with me on that first. When I list a car, it automatically costs me $147.90. When it sells, I send it to get ready for the buyer to pick-up, By the time it's ready to go, I will have spent $300.00 on it. So when one sells and the buyer does not pay, I will have about $450.00 tied up in it. I am no longer going to tolerate non-payment.
