Sell my baby... 1969 442 Convertible, original numbers matching 400ci-350hp v8, automatic... power top, this car had a complete ground up frame off restoration several years ago, then was moth balled til recently.... Beautiful car - only 4295 made in 1969... factor in the options and the number decreases substantially. This car is investment quality, and they are on the rise again. Call me 954-675-4068 to arrange viewing. - Car needs complete detail and cleaning... More pictures will follow. Just testing the waters for interest. trying to move around some of my cars to make room for others, down sizing my warehouse space. I will consider all reasonable offers and possible partial trades for other old muscle cars, prefer early corvettes - C1,C2,C3's... Poniac GTO, Chevrolet Camaro, Buick Skylark, etc... Maybe nice boat???$50,000.00 OBO (USD)

I am selling my dream 442, its a 1970 2 door holiday coupe. I used it once this year and decided to sell it to someone who would get the most out of it.I bought it from second owner, he gave me a book of receipts on everything done to car. It is in great shape, had one paint job in late 80's. Painted same original color. It could use another paint job and very minor body work. small rust front fenders, I will send pics. It is numbers matching and runs great, I just replaced the original quadrajet(will ship with car) with a quick fuel. I do have build sheets and protecto plate. Please ask questions and bid only if you are interested,On Oct-13-15 at 06:21:24 PDT, seller added the following information: I added a few pics of rust which you really cant see but could feel, one side drivers side is slightly peeling, as seen, nothing is rusted through, I tried to show slight blemishes in paint and agoin not able to photogragh.

Really nice rust free car. I would call it a nice sorted driver with good paint and chrome. Interior is correct. I am a well known Oldsmobile collector and will be able to field any of your questions. I currently own a 1971 442 Convt. w-30 with a 4 speed and have had many interesting Oldsmobile's I bought it from an older gent that bought it from the Volvo Museum as a consignment car about 15+ years ago. It was a new paint, interior and top car at that time and he enjoyed the car until I bought it. I need to sell it since I live in a place with no room for the car. The 4 speed convertibles were about 190 and the A/C option is very unusual to find. You can call me for more information and I expect you to inspect the car prior to purchase. Contact me for a showing. Car is located in Newport Beach CA. Options include 4 speed, ps, pb, a/c, posi, buckets, console, sport wheel, clock, rally wheels, aftermarket ram air hood, am/fm.

Engine / Driveline This is a numbers-matching 1969 Oldsmobile 4-4-2 Holiday Coupe. It has a 400 cubic inch V-8, Turbo Hydramatic 400 transmission, and a 10-bolt Posi-Traction rear end. The car was running and driving a little less than a year ago. As of right now, when hooked to a battery the engine will crank but it does not turn over. No fuel to carburetor. Still has original Rochester 4-barrel carburetor. Factory air conditioned car with original Frigidaire components still installed. Power steering and power brakes need to be redone. Drum brakes all the way around. New suspension is needed all the way around. Exhaust system including mufflers look like they’re original to the car. Interior Red cloth interior with front bucket seats and center console with floor shifter and rallye gauges. Aftermarket cassette deck in place of the original radio has been installed. Dashboard has minimal cracking for its age. Package tray below rear window is intact. Seats are intact but show their age. Original headliner is still in the car. Door panels are original but they are beyond repair. The entire interior is original, but it will all need to be redone. Windows roll up and down but will need alignment. The car will need a new front windshield, but the rest of the glass is usable. Gauges still light up. Has correct “442” emblem on glove compartment door. All seatbelts are still there. Odometer shows 155,255 miles. Body The exterior body of the car has rust in all of the typical A-body areas. It will need patch panels. Floor pans have some smaller rust areas but are repairable. Oldsmobile side marker lamps are still in place. Rear bumper is in good condition but will need to be re-chromed. Bottom edge of trunk lid has a little rust. Trunk lid emblems were missing when I bought the car but it comes with the original “442” fender emblems for both sides. Original jack instruction stickers are still on underside of trunk lid. Trunk interior is in overall good condition. Original jack and rear trailer hitch are still with the car. Gas cap is missing (I have taped it off). Car was in a light fender bender on the front passenger side many years ago under the previous owner. The very front passenger side of the frame is slightly warped and the bumper mounting point is bent backward a little. The affected area is shown in the pictures provided. However, this is very repairable and the affected area will only need to be slightly straightened if a frame-off restoration is done to the car. Front bumper has since been replaced and is very shiny and in good condition. Front passenger fender was replaced (by previous owner) with a fender off of a ’69 Cutlass. Hood is original and has been repaired with bondo. The hood is very straight and the original “442” emblems are still in place, but have some bubbling on driver side. The car will need new front passenger headlight bezel. Rearview mirrors are in good condition. Original antenna is in good condition. Paint is original, but needs to be redone. Wheels Car has Oldsmobile Rallye II wheels with snap-in center caps. 2 center caps are missing (passenger side). I believe these wheels are off of a 1972 model. According to my research, 1969 model year 4-4-2 cars should have the bolt-on center caps. New tires are needed. Documentation This car still has the original broadcast sheet, owner’s manual, plastic sleeve for the owner’s manual, manual for the original radio, and clear blue Texas Title. o VIN: 344879M37462 § 1st Digit: 3 (GM Division Oldsmobile) § 2nd-5th Digit: 4487 (4-4-2: 2-Door Holiday Coupe) § 6th Digit: 9 (Model Year 1969) § 7th Digit: M (Lansing, Michigan Assembly Plant) § Last 6 Digits: 37462 (Production Number) o Broadcast Sheet Codes: § M40: TH400 Automatic Transmission § PL5: Tires- Blackwall Wide, Oval Polyester Cord F70 x 14” § N66: Wheel, Rally Type (Super Stock II, 13”) § U63: Radio, Push Button Control § A02: Glass, Tinted Windshield (Tinted Upper) § C60: Air Conditioner, Manual Control § B32: Mat, Front Floor Throw § D55: Console, Compartment Floor (Var. 1) This 1969 4-4-2 is an EXCELLENT frame-off restoration candidate with lots of potential. It was purchased new in New Mexico and moved to West Texas a few years later where it spent most of its life. I purchased it about 6 months ago from the original family with the intention of restoring it, but I will be moving soon and will no longer have the space for the build so it’s time to find it a good home. Car is located in the Austin, Texas area. Car is being sold AS-IS, WHERE-IS. No returns. Shipping /pick-up is entirely the responsibility of the buyer. $500 PayPal deposit within 24-hours of sale, and remainder of balance via cash or cashier’s check within 5 days of sale. Please feel free to contact me for more information and/or pictures of the car. Thanks for looking!

I will describe this Cutlass Convertible the best that I can. I bought this car not to long ago sight unseen and spent alot of money on the car to find out it was NOT a real 442 or w-30. I knew it was not a w-30 when I bought it, but was told it was a real 442, it is NOT. With that said I know I will not get any where near what I paid for the car. I will tell you it is a great driving car, has a 350 Rocket motor, auto trans and a 12 bolt rear. I have driven the car with no issues at all, stops great, drives great on the high way and so on. The car has some flaws that I was not told about when I bought the car. I was told the paint was a 8.5 to 9, it is not. I will just say I am very picky and some people might think it is a 8 or so, I feel it is more 6 to 7, shines great looks great from 5 feet but does have some imperfections that I try to point out in pictures. The tires are new, has front disc brakes, the floors and vehicle are solid and has had 1 floor pan replaced at some point in its life. Again, I have had alot of show cars so I might be a little tough on my own description. The tach does not work, the am radio is not plugged in, the wiper washers are not hooked up, the lower kick panels should be replaced as the old owner took the speakers out, the drivers mirror remote cable is missing, and the center console shifter cluster is missing. These cars are very hard to find, here is the production totals for Oldsmobile Cutlass's from 1970 they made a total of 2993 convertibles, 1971 they made 1304 total, and 1972 only 1171..These cars are very collectible, don't think twice about buying a Cutlass they are in demand due to these low production numbers. I can always add a buy it now for a serious buyer, car can be sold at any time also. The car has a great look, stance and will do well in local car shows if your into that..But I would replace the front seat covers, side interior kick panels, fix the bezel for center console, I would repaint the car in the future if I kept it...The top is perfect, glass back window and works as it should. On Jul-02-15 at 19:09:31 PDT, seller added the following information: The pictures make the car look a little darker silver then it is, it is a brighter silver and i have taken more pictures of the car inside my garage. I am going to try and upload these now on to the auction, I can only add 1 more to the auction listing. On Jul-02-15 at 19:34:11 PDT, seller added the following information: Look at this item number, better pictures in the sun light from the seller I purchased it from. 261924463592 On Jul-03-15 at 13:35:43 PDT, seller added the following information: The rear is a 12 bolt rear as the ad stated.....Someone emailed me as I posted and said it was a 10 bolt, it is a 12 bolt. Also had a few question on how it handles on the high way. I work 30 miles each way and the car drives great at 70 - 75.. Also need to note that the drivers seat has some play in it, I read my ad and left that out...Could be a easy fix but I have not looked into it. I am losing a good amount of money on the car, someone will get a deal..With that said, I was offered a few offers and I am not giving it away...I will just cover it up and have things fixed in the winter time when I slow down at work. Good luck..With all the emails and questions I feel that the car will sell as my reserve is low. On Jul-04-15 at 10:35:58 PDT, seller added the following information: 0 feedback will be cancelled...Do not bid if you have less then 10 feedback with out contacting me first.. On Jul-05-15 at 08:37:28 PDT, seller added the following information: https://youtu.be/4Bu3qN09zAk You tube added Sunday July 5th On Jul-05-15 at 17:43:57 PDT, seller added the following information: Get your own valid XHTML YouTube embed code On Jul-06-15 at 08:34:19 PDT, seller added the following information: I am taking a nice loss here..For the few that have asked about a buy it now I just listed one for you..Please do not hit the buy it now and not follow through, get your finances ready, ask your Husband or Wife, thanks.
