2001 Nissan Altima GXE for sale - needs overheated heads repaired - we paid $500 to have verified by local mechanic. Car has Tinted Windows, Power Seats, Aluminum/Alloy wheels. Detailed maintenance records since buying the car in 2005. Most recent improvements include: 4 new tires ($500) and wheel alignment, Replaced transaxles, Sanded headlights and re-painted entire car ($1500) due to sun fading. This car has been well taken care of over the years and makes a great commuter car. Asking $1,495 OBO. Thank you for looking. NOTE: This car will work best for a mechanic who has the experience to complete the repair without the labor cost. By completing the repairs yourself the part cost (head gasket, grease, oil, etc.) will be minimal, leaving you with a car worth around $3,700 NADA when you are finished. I have the knowledge to repair it, but do not have the tools at the moment or the time. If one of you do not buy it I will most likely work with a local high school auto shop to have it repaired to help students learn this type of repair, and then one of my kids can drive it as the body is in excellent shape especially with the new paint.

Selling for a family member, this car is in NJ but it is registered in NY with a clean NY title. This car originally belongs to a retired family member who now has disability and cannot drive. The car has never been involved in any accident and never even went above 65mph on the highway. It has new tires with less than 2000 miles on them, recent oil change, and the car runs great. Ice cold A/C and warm heater. There's no mechanical problems and the car has super low mileage at only 61K. The body has definite signs of age from being street parked. The radio works fine but the cassette deck doesn't work, does anyone still tapes? Has both driver and passenger airbags. Good power with 150HP and a stock weight of under 3,000lb and it gets very good MPG. The mid-line GXE had power windows, a power retracting antenna, pass thru rear armrest, digital clock in dash, and color matched plastic speaker grilles for the rear 6-inch speakers. This 2000 gxe altima is in overall in good condition. It does have some rust in the rocker panals ( altimas of this era had this issue). I have driven this car approx 166000 miles and it never let me down. Vehicle just passed emissions in Illinois in 2015. The engine light is on due to the exhaust leaking not affecting vehicle performance. I have done a lot of things to this vehicle in the last year. 1-new radiator/ and cap 2-new radiator hoses 3-spark plugs approx 3000 ago 4-knock sensor 5-rear brake shoes 6-new belts 7-new frt brake pads 8-replaced all light bulbs 9-cabin filter10-new HVAC resistor11-replaced complete evap system (Nissan parts) do to emissionsAll of this work was done on my own. Selling a 1997 Nissan Altima 2.4l 4 cyl automatic. Would be a fantastic winter car or to and from work car. Basically what Ive been using to for the last year. Has been an awesome car for me. Starts and drives great. Never an issue. The body and interior have seen better days. Previous owner was a smoker. Had to remove the headliner. Some burn holes in the seats, but no major tears or wires showing.
