It’s inline 6 cylinder fuel injected engine powers the Datsun. It moves pretty quickly! It has a 5 speed manual transmission, which shifts smooth and pleasant. Engine Bay is well detailed. Has a nice exhaust that sounds really nice. Mechanically the car is sound! See the video. The Body is straight as an arrow. All doors, trunk, hood are all aligned like they should. It has always been garage kept and well taken care. All the exterior rubber bumpers, chromes, trim, latches, bumperettes are in great shape. Underneath the floor pans are in good shape, super clean underneath. It had recently a complete Major Service, New Battery, New front calipers & hoses, New brake pads (all 4 wheels) etc… The Interior is splendid and contrast well to the exterior blue paint. Blue upholstery has been fitted, and tastefully done, and overall condition looks new. NON SMOKER CAR. No tears on the seats or cracks on dashboard. All the glass and chrome trim are very nice. I am only the SECOND owner of this 1979 280ZX. I bought it in 1983 and have owned it ever since. It's time it went to someone that can appreciate it and keep it going for years to come. I think its best if you're interested to email me and we can discuss the car. You won't find a much nicer one out there...It currently has a turbo charger on in and it is fast! It could easily be put back to stock too, but the turbo sure is nice! This car came from the factory without catalytic converters, so it does not require them! You can run whatever exhaust you want, no cat con required! I have so much paperwork and lots of extra parts for this car, again, its best to contact me for all the details. It will be sad for me to sell, but hopefully it goes to a good home!

I am selling this for a friend and will try to answer any questions you might have. He is the third owner and has had the car for about 2 years. It runs great and needs nothing except a charge in the air conditioning system. It was working at the beginning of summer but now needs a charge. The exterior was painted about ten years ago and is a shade darker than the original blue. It looks to have had some repair work done on the rocker panels in front of the rear wheels but it must have been fixed properly as there is no bubbling or rust showing. There is a small spot on the left front fender that looks to be a small rust spot but has not come thru the surface . I have a picture included although it is hard to see. It is very solid on the underside. The paint is very nice and looks to have been a quality job. The interior is very nice for one of these Z cars. Seats, carpets, door panels all in good shape. As with any of these cars that age there is some fading on the door panels and the covers over the rear wheels in the back storage area but is by no means terrible. The original bags for the T-tops are included along with the proper black-out panels for them. I have included a picture of the original window sticker so you can see all the equipment that is on the car. The wheels show some sign of ware as the clear is starting to peel but other than that they are in good shape. This car runs great and still looks good. Here is a car you can purchase and jump in and drive without braking the bank! Vehicle is sold as-is with no warranty expressed or implied. Since 1980 and showroom new, this Datsun has been family owned and loved like part of the family. However, it is time for someone new to enjoy this beautiful 1981 Datsun 280ZX, and have just as much fun as our family did owning this time-less sports car. This 1981 Datsun 280ZX has been a California sports car its whole life, mostly residing in Southern California. The car is black with some gold pin-striping throughout the body, and has a tan leather interior. Back in the day this was the top of the line package that you could get. The car runs great, and still has a lot of pep to her step. The car is mostly stock, with the only modifications to the car being a custom Magnaflow exhaust, a custom Alpine stereo, and new rear Alpine speakers (I do have the original stereo if wanted by the buyer). She still drives great, nice and smooth, but needs a new owner who will give the car a little tlc. It has been meticulously cared for and always garage kept. The Vanilla White paint has been climate stored since new. The moldings, handles, window glass, pinstripe, lettering, t-top panels, covers, rubber seals, and all other exterior features are in new condition. The wheels are spotless and the Goodyear Eagle tires have almost new tread. It drives straight down the road with zero issues. Barely ever driven in rain and wiped off with duster cloths. On the inside, the upgraded Red leather / ZX embossed suede interior still looks, feels and smells new. As you can see in the pics, the seats have always been covered and the flooring still holds the orig. mats from 83. The door panels, t-top bags, orig. headliner, inserts, dash ( 0 cracks ), center console, faceplates, etc. are stock orig. and all of the interior buttons / switches - power windows, door locks, antenna, window defog, cruise, hatch release function as they should. For a ZX purist, it is definitely a great piece of history. All systems on point and function as a near new car should. The Orig. Jade Gray metallic paint is still like it was in 83. It was Rust coated when new, so no corrosion on the top or underside. The moldings, handles, window glass, lettering, emblems, stickers, roof panels, covers, rubber seals, and all other exterior features are in perfect condition. The wheels are clean and the tires have almost new tread - I still have the orig. BFG's stored that are dated from 1982 that will go with sale if wanted. It was also ordered with the DATSUN mud flaps and stripe package. It drives straight down the road with zero issues. No automatic car washes and cared for by hand. On the inside, the Gray leather / Black interior still looks, feels and smells new. As you can see in the pics, the seats do not have a mark, have always been covered and the flooring holds the orig. mats from 83. The door panels, t-top bags, t-top inserts, dash ( no cracks ), orig. headliner w/ no sag, center console, faceplates, etc. are stock orig. and all of the interior buttons / switches - digital dash, power windows, door locks, pwr. antenna, cruise, hatch release, fuel door, and even the clock keeps perfect time. Voice warning system fully functional. The orig. stereo / speakers sound great and the wide range amp still functions. The spare, tools, jack, inflator canister, bolts have never been touched. Mechanically, it starts, idles, and drives smoothly as you would expect of preserved unit. The engine compartment is stock and all of the servicing is up to date - a/c, belts, hoses, coolant, fuel filter, thermostat, fluids all changed / maintained. The 5 speed engages as new and it performs on all levels. It has never been driven hard. The a/c is blistering cold and the brakes have plenty of pad left. All of the other mechanical functions are perfect. A fun blast from the past that is a great conversation piece and will get you positive attention everywhere. For Sale: 1982 Nissan 280ZX. This rare car runs well and has only 67,884 original miles. Clean title and tags good through September 2015. The car is original except for the stereo. It has leather and suede seats, inline 6 engine, T-tops, tan and brown interior, power steering, cruise control, 5 speed manual transmission, automatic AC and many other features. The 145 hp engine is original and strong. Clutch replaced, newer tires and coolant changed. This is a perfect restorable project car. There are some small rust spots, paint is faded, the interior needs some finishing, small star in the windshield, crack in dashboard along with some minor plastic pieces need replaced and interior headliner and trim need to be re glued. It belongs in an enlcosed car hauler. 1983 Nissan 280ZX Turbo - Built 6/83, so one of the last ones off the production line ( exact verification pending ) - Bought brand new at John Sisson Nissan. Gorgeous Champagne metallic / Red w/ the TURBO decal package - 100% orig. paint / interior, except the tires and battery. It has been meticulously cared for and garage kept. The Champagne metallic paint has been climate stored since new. The moldings, handles, window glass, lettering, t-top panels, covers, rubber seals, and all other exterior features are in new condition. The wheels are shiny new and the Yokohama tires have almost new tread. It drives straight down the road with zero issues. Barely ever had H2O on it and wiped only with duster cloths. On the inside, the Red interior still looks, feels and smells new. As you can see in the pics, the seats have always been covered and the flooring still holds the orig. mats from 83. The door panels, t-top bags, t-top inserts, dash ( no cracks ), center console, faceplates, etc. are stock orig. and all of the interior buttons / switches - power windows, door locks, cruise, hatch release.
