1962 Nash Metropolitan Convertible I purchased this car from the second owner and close friend of mine in El Paso earlier this year. This car has spent its entire life in the arid city of El Paso.... The car had been sitting in covered storage for 25 years prior to my purchase. The beauty of buying from El Paso is the incredible climate that has preserved the vehicle. The car had very little rust when I purchased it which I had professionally cut out and welded as opposed to using bondo or filler. The car is extremely straight and runs like a top! This car has recently undergone a restoration to make it a fun everyday driver! This is a beautiful example of a '62 Met that turns heads and gets thumbs up everywhere I drive. This car was such a nice example of a Nash Metropolitan that I tried my best to keep as much of the car original as possible. This is a super fun little car that looks and runs excellent! This is not a show car but looks awesome and would make anyone proud. Here is your chance to own this Rare Vehicle! 40+ Miles Per Gallon!!!!! Below is a list of some things I have done to the Car.................Brand New Paint Job (Original Berkshire Green and Frost White)1500cc Engine has been Tuned UpOriginal AM Tube Radio Works GreatAll New HosesExhaust WorkNew Thermostat and Water PumpNew Hoses and ClampsBrakes ReBuilt with New Master CylinderNew Clutch Master Cylinder and Slave CylinderElectrical Completely gone through(everything works)New Fuse BlockNew Tail LightsNew Tires (5)New InteriorNew White Convertible TopBlack Tonneau CoverNew Battery Fresh FluidsGas Tank Dropped and Cleaned w/ Inline Filter InstalledMany, Many other New Parts.......... As I mentioned earlier this is a beautiful Rust Free car that is ready to drive anywhere! I personally drive the car almost daily... Its a blast! With that being said the car is not a show car.... There are a few issues that could be addressed to take the car to the next level. The paint job is about a month old and looks great! The paint is single stage and the colors are original to the car. There are some minor flaws in the paint that can be noticed if you're inspecting with a fine toothed comb. I did not paint under the hood or trunk as I wanted to leave those two areas original. The engine runs very well and idles smooth. The rubber on the vent windows is extremely dry and needs to be replaced.... I am including a new set of rubber for both ($130 rubber). The passenger door sticks from time to time (I believe it needs the latching mechanism adjusted). The windshield wiper motor works intermittently. I have not addressed with the motor as I never drive the car in bad weather. The steering wheel is original and does have some cracks.... I left it original as I liked the look. It could easily be wrapped or replaced. This Car is Ready to Go!!!!! The car is a looker and needs nothing to enjoy right now as it is.... It could easily be taken to the next level if you desire. This car is extremely rare and will absolutely stand out among other classics. *Car is Tagged as an Antique and I have a Clear Texas Title in my Name Feel Free to Call or Text with Questions (512) 64four-7519 The car is located in Austin Texas 78756. I would be more than happy to assist with shipping at your expense. I have the Car Listed locally so I Reserve the Right to End the Auction early.

With a huge enthusiast following, they've become the smart hobby car for today's world, offering wonderful '50s styling in a compact package that's easy on the fuel as well as the eyes. This particular 1958 Met brings with it a long list of upgrades, including A/C. Let that sink in for a moment; someone spent a goodly sum of cash to make this little car a delight to drive. Now some experts might be able to find a few things that aren't quite factory, but the fact is the fit and finish on this car are light years better than original and befitting of a car worth four times as much. The jaunty two-tone Mardi Gras Red over Frost White paint scheme is original, but was only applied after the diminutive body was worked to really sparkle, and it really paid off. Check out how tight the door gaps are, how crisp the grooves in the window sill are, and how crisp the line between red and white is across the hood. It's not quite perfect, but it's far, far nicer than a car at this price point has any right to be. All the chrome was professionally refinished, too, including the egg crate grille and unique bumpers. The car is tiny, no question about it, but you'll find that it's easy to get comfortable inside. The split bench seat has been upholstered in original style houndstooth fabric with vinyl accents, and legroom is good, even for six-footers. Dramatic black and white door panels almost look like modern art and the sweeping black dash is handsome as well as functional. All the relevant instruments are clustered ahead of the driver, with an auxiliary temperature gauge installed under the dash, along with the A/C. The AM radio is neatly integrated into the dash just above the ignition and offers big, easy-to-use knobs, although it is sadly not functional. New black carpets, seat belts, and new floor mats help it feel comfortable and quiet inside and while there's a back seat, it's probably best for storage or small children. With the spare tire stowed on the outside of the bodywork, the trunk will easily swallow a weekend's worth of luggage. The Austin A90 donated its 1.5-liter four-cylinder engine making 50 horsepower. Bearing in mind the car's modest size and weight, performance is energetic and you'll find yourself zipping around corners, one of the many benefits of the lightweight design. The engine wears correct green paint on the engine itself and properly finished accessories around it. A 1-barrel Zenith carburetor handles induction chores and a reproduction exhaust system gives it an authentic sound that's sporty without being annoying. A long list of upgrades include an electric fuel pump, modern GM alternator, new engine and transmission mounts, rebuilt brakes, and a new fuel tank out back, so it's ready to cruise. The three-speed manual transmission shifts nicely thanks to new bushings and the rear gears have been changed from 4.22s to 3.90s, so it's pretty comfortable on the highway. You'll also be pleased to note that tires are diminutive 155/80/13s, which ride well and are incredibly affordable, making this a hobby car that's easy on the wallet now and in the future. A lovely little car, this Nash is way out at the far end of the quality scale with no hope of recovering the restoration costs. What that means is a big score for the lucky new owner, who gets to enjoy one of the best for a fraction of the cost. Vehicle was bought several years ago from a shop in FL. that restores antique vehicles and was shipped here. I have since put a few thousand into it getting a few things done exactly how I wanted them to be and to get it "finished". It runs amazing, and is a blast to drive. It feels like you're going 100mph at 40 and yet you still seem to get to where you're going before you're ready to be done driving. There is no rust on the car at all. When I was shopping for one that was my main concern and this is by far the best one I found. I didn't buy this car for shows, it was for sentimental reasons but I volunteer and attend several car/bike shows a year and eventually entered it and have since won several awards. This was not my intent at all but it sure is a nice bonus! Call for any specifics, but I'm a very motivated seller (I have my eyes on another vehicle and need the room) but don't call me if you're looking to pick up a Metro for 8k. Clean TX. title in hand and I want cash in hand in return. No trades, no checks, no payment plans.

1951 Nash Statesman "Streamlined Aerodynamic" Bathtub Nash The Nash Statesman was built between 1949 and 1951, the cars proved to be very popular and found use in police departments around the US with a shorter wheel base then the Ambassadors. The Statesman power plant is known for its reliability and sturdiness from its decades old design of the L-Head Nash Light Six engine that was designed back in the 1920’s. By 1952 the “Bathtub” Nash’s ended their reign and to this date is still considered one of their most popular cars. This 1951, Post World War II, Nash is in amazing condition. The more you look at it the more you will fall in love. It is a time warp car all the way down to its oil change tags in the door jam. The car has had a repaint although the jams appear to be in its original finish. The trim on this Statesman is impressive from the bumpers, body trim, emblems and mirrors. The brightwork will not disappoint. I think it says a lot that this car appears to have lived a majority of its life in Sunny California as evidenced by its overall condition. The interior appears freshly recovered with a dark green and light grey two tone appointments. Please review the photographs as I feel you would be hard pressed to find an example in this condition. If you have any questions or need additional photographs please do not hesitate to contact us. Its aerodynamic body shape was developed in a wind tunnel. Nils Wahlberg's theories on reducing an automobile body's drag coefficient resulted in a smooth shape and enclosed front fenders. The "cutting-edge aerodynamics" was the most "alarming" all-new postwar design in the industry. Please Read: This vehicle is being listed by Flat Twelve Gallery, a licensed Texas Dealer, as seen on CNBC's television show “The Car Chasers”, and is located in Lubbock, Texas.
