Original owner. Purchased in Aug 2007 from Motor City Mini. The car will come with two (2) keys and original factory manuals/literature. The engine is not in working order. All Mini Cooper S models have the following standard features: push button engine stop/start, AM/FM/CD stereo with six speakers and MP3 capability, air conditioning, color-adjustable interior lighting, tilt/telescoping steering wheel, power locks, windows and mirrors, Electronic Stability Program (ESP), anti-lock brakes (ABS), tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS) and six airbags. In addition to the above, this Mini Cooper S is loaded with options including the Premium Package which comes with steering wheel-mounted controls, power moon roof, automatic air conditioning, and center arm rest. Additional options include six-speed automatic transmission (with manual “tiptronic” mode), heated front seats, transmission “sport” mode, steering wheel mounted paddle shifters and aluminum rims. Alas this was a really fun car to drive when it ran but it had many of the typical problems of a 2007 mini cooper and finally at 87k miles major engine failure. We are selling this because neither BMW or Motor City Mini will replace the engine at their cost and it's no longer practical for us to keep. According to our mechanic there is a hole in one of the pistons caused by poor engine ventilation. It also had the death rattle (may be a symptom of a timing chain problem) and inhaled oil and bled oil after the last engine degunking. It ran best in warm weather and had to be warmed up in the garage in the winter. It ran sluggishly when the oil levels were low or high( the f...ing dip stick is impossible to read, even for the dealership mechanics). I could go on about the engine problems but then you'll be replacing the engine. It did start for us and we were able to drive it out of the garage and back in to photograph it. The body, interior and transmission are in very good condition. This Mini was parked in the garage when not out and about. There are normal road wear (minor chips) in the paint. We were rear ended at low speed and had the Mini repaired at a AAA approved top quality body shop. The interior is in very good condition. We are not smokers. There is some salt damage to the front rugs where the winter road sludge spilled over the floor mats. Floor mats are included. The cover of the passenger side door speaker is cracked. The stock stereo works/sounds great. The air conditioning blows cold and the heater works just as well. The heated seats work great. The transmission was the rare aspect of this Mini's mechanicals that never had any problems. The gears shift smoothly. The turbo charger and steering wheel paddle shifting works smoothly.
