Mileage 30839

Posted Over 1 Month

Normal 0 false false false EN-US JA X-NONE Mileage: 30,839 (still driving it a bit so may be a little more) It has virtually every option (literally I think every one but not absolutely sure), including the Cockpit Chrono, which puts the speedometer and tachometer where they belong -- in front of the driver -- instead of in the middle of the dash. And everything on the car works. That means everything. Original manual/books/folder, two original keys + one original plastic wallet emergency key, factory window sticker, dealer window sticker and many receipts/documentation are included with the car. The dealer sticker on this car was $43,903.00. Exterior Presents as a 9+. All original paint, clean CarFax, previous owner said no damage or repaints, and my paint meter reads consistent measurements across all panels of the vehicle. There are no dents or door dings at all, and only a couple of shallow, almost imperceptible scratches. There are no front or rear bumper parking dings or scratches of any kind. There are normal rock chips on the air dam and hood, as can be seen from the photos. The rubber strips/seals are in great shape with almost no oxidation or degradation. The car has been regularly hand washed and detailed and has only been out of the garage for drive time, hence the almost non-existent sun damage. The wheels have some very minor curb rash, all of which is shown in the photos of each wheel. Interior, Top, Electronics, Bluetooth The interior looks almost new. There are no scratches on the dash, and only one slight nick on the passenger seat leather (outside upper bolster) as pictured. The seats have been cared for with Lexol regularly since I have owned it, and the leather is in great shape. The floor mats (driver side) show some wear as to be expected. The car has the optional wind deflector and it’s carry case. The top looks new and it works perfectly. The car is wired for a Valentine 1 radar detector that fits in a BlendMount bracket added to the bottom of the rear view mirror. The Valentine 1 is not included in the sale. I wanted Bluetooth phone and music, so I installed a MediaBridge, which plugs directly into the wiring harness of the optional Harmon Kardon sound system. It supports steering wheel controls for phone and music play. The MediaBridge also supports an Aux in, iPod control, and USB play of audio files on a hardware device (thumb drive, phone). The USB interface will charge a phone, albeit slowly. USB and Aux have been routed out between the shift console cover and the carpet on the passenger side, for easy access. Engine Completely stock. Suspension + Stock struts and springs are in perfect shape and all factory. List of added suspension bits: · Powerflex Urethane Front Control Arm Bushings· OMP Strut Tower Brace· Madness Motorworks Lower Stress Bar· Ireland Engineering 1.25 Degree Fixed Camber Plates· Madness Motorworks 22mm Adjustable Rear Sway Bar· Mini Mania Power Steering Fan Shield The car handles beautifully. Quick and accurate turn-in, planted, same ride firmness as a stock car, neutral handling (dial in more over steer via sway bar adjustment, if you like), and massively increased front end rigidity/reduced cowl shake courtesy of the strut tower brace and the lower stress bar. History – Beginning to Now This Mini started it's life on the road in April 2006 as a dealer executive car at Crevier Mini in Irvine, CA. At 9,588 miles (June, 2007) it was sold to its first owner, a middle-aged couple (wife’s weekend car), in Orange, CA. Under their care the car was always garaged and was driven about 1,000 miles per year until I bought it in January 2013 with 16,289 miles. Right after purchase I put a set of Kumho LE s on (~50 to 75% left now) along with an alignment. Tires are NOT run flats. Then, on January 28th, 2013 I had MiniWorx in Lawndale, CA, replace the upper hydraulic motor mount. I also had them install Powerflex front control arm bushings (as the original rubber bushings were failing) and a Madness Motorworks 22mm adjustable sway bar. Shortly thereafter I installed an OMP strut tower brace and Madness Motorworks lower stress bar to stiffen the front end. I also added Ireland Engineering 1.25 degree fixed camber plates to further improve handling. Tire wear is perfect. Bonus, between the camber plates and the strut tower brace, strut tower mushrooming (there is none on this car) doesn't happen. I drove the car for 2 years during which time it accumulated about +/- 15K additional miles and needed nothing but synthetic oil and filter changes, which I generally performed myself (filter socket included in sale). In February 2015 I ran out of garage space and decided to sell the car. And conveniently (not really) the brake wear indicator came on at the same time, so I again took it to Miniworx (this time to the Culver City, CA location) on February 20, 2015 thinking it would need front pads. Miniworx found more issues than just the pads, and after careful review I decided to address their full “fix this now” list. That list includes: · New front pads/front rotors· New radiator· New thermostat gasket· New power steering lines With this $1877.27 service (receipt available) the good news is the car is ready to go and has no other issues that need to be addressed now. Miniworx is available at 310 820 8822 (ask to speak with Steve) to discuss the condition of this car. He's happy to chat and I've authorized him to give answer your questions. You are also welcome to contact me through Ebay for a phone number, as I am happy to discuss and/or to meet you in Marina Del Rey, CA to show the car.I'll help with shipping if needed by meeting the transport, but you will need to arrange and pay for everything. The car is listed in a few places, so I reserve the right to pull this listing prior to its scheduled end.
