1. It's a Powerglide. If you Google that, you'll find that if you add the quart of fluid it "needs," you will soon have a one-quart puddle of fluid on your driveway. Just drive it, and it works fine. 2. I think the only instruments that don't work are the tachometer and speedometer; the ones that measure health are OK. The radio buzzes, which is a good sign. Obviously, the mileage shown on the odometer has nothing to do with reality. 3. This is not a car for a very round person. I weigh 235 and can barely fit behind the wheel. 4. If you are relatively petite and enjoy burbling around town in something neat, this car is for you. I drove it from Tennessee to Oregon, but I don't recommend doing that. 5. As noted above, with lifetime "Antique" plates I saw no reason to change the registration and will provide a Bill of Sale and the original title I got with the car. 6. If you want the car shipped, I will cooperate any way I can, short of arranging it. 7. A non-refundable deposit of $2000 will be due within 48 hours of purchase. 8. I have tried to describe it accurately. Any questions will be answered (to the best of my ability) on this site, for the edification of all.

1952 MG TD/C MARK II ROADSTER, COMPETITION MODEL Car No. TD/C 17174 EXL/NA Body No. 16522 / 88730 Engine No. XPAG/TD3/17424 Body Type. 22381 Original Mileage: 24,588 Our TD/C is a numbers-matching example. THIS IS A VERY RARE CAR. 1,710 TDC Models were produced out of a production run of 29,664 MGTDs. Approximately 5% of total production. As a result of the demand for a car with the MG TD's classic look, but with better handling characteristics and more power, MG built a limited number of TD/C's, the "C" standing for competition. An additional set of Andrex friction dampers were added to the shock absorbers of the car which was additionally equipped with twin fuel pumps, larger twin (13/4") carburetors, larger intake and exhaust valves, stronger valve springs, larger oil sump and other mechanical modifications. This car has the original radio which was installed in the glove box as a special option. Also, has an extremely rare, day-night rear view mirror flip up option. Optional heater unit installed. Windwings, Tonneau cover, Luggage rack, Excellent top and side curtains. It has always been parked in a climate-controlled garage, at the residence, and covered for over 30 years !!! Low original mileage. Southern car that looks like it did when it ran in mid-fifties. Wonderful patina. The car will need body work and paint, if you desire.. Motor turns freely, but does not currently start. Being 70 years old myself, I prefer to sell the car as a project however, if not sold, I will have it restored. It would be difficult to find a more original low mileage example to restore. Price is set below NADA book value. This vehicle is being sold as a restoration project. Car is registered, and insured in the state of Georgia. Sold with Bill of Sale only. Overseas buyers welcome. Seller assists with coordination of shipping from Charleston, S.C. to your nearest port. Owner speaks German and French. Please contact me prior to bidding if you have fewer than 10 positive feedbacks. This is a serious auction and I am too old to relist........Thanks. Buyer will pay via bank wire transfer within 48 hours of auctions end. Buyer responsible for transportation. Seller will assist with loading of the vehicle. Thank you for your interest.

I am selling my 1954 MG TF Roadster. The MG starts easy and runs well. The odometer shows 23,965 miles. The car had been in dry storage for close to 20 years and was recently gone through with new brakes, rebuilt carb, fuel lines, new tires, wiring, etc. It shifts smoothly through all gears and maintains good oil pressure and water temperature. It smokes a bit from the exhaust running. The gauges, lights, and horn all function properly. The body, interior, paint, and wire wheels are very nice. All exterior panels are nice and the bonnet/doors close easily and fit tight. The underneath is solid and clean. There is no rust. The wood floors are in nice shape too. The red paint is nice with just a few marks from being stored in the garage. The soft-top and side curtains are clean and in good condition. The leather seats are soft and supple and do not have any rips or tears. The tires are new and the chrome is in nice shape. The car is sold with a Bill of Sale only – there is no title due to age. Potential bidders are welcome to inspect the car at my house. My cell phone is 845-558-5270.

0 0 1 609 3474 Goodman Reed Corporation 28 8 4075 14.0 Normal 0 false false false EN-US JA X-NONE Offered for sale is our striking 1955 MG TF 1500 with its original, numbers matching engine and transmission and finished in gorgeous Dark Green over a Biscuit leather interior with a tan canvas soft top. Always a California car that spent a vast majority of its life in the arid climate of the Central Valley, the car was used as a weekend driver/survivor between the 1970s and 2007. At that point it received a cosmetic refurbishing and mechanical sorting, and from that point forward it has been used sparingly on pleasant days, always garage-kept and maintained and never subjected to the elements. The result of this refurbishing and subsequent careful use is a wonderful turn-key example, needing nothing to be enjoyed. As the pictures show, the dark green finish is entirely consistent without any significant imperfections or evidence of rust. The chrome trim is all in excellent condition, as is the welting between the body panels, and the steel wheels are in great shape and wrapped in Dunlop radial tires with plenty of remaining tread. The car’s interior was completely reupholstered in beautifully offsetting Biscuit leather and remains in excellent condition, the leather seats and interior panels appearing virtually as new, the carpets entirely presentable and the dash clean and correct, housing the original octagonal Jaeger gauges, indisputably some of the most aesthetically appealing gauges produced in the era. Lastly, the car’s frame and undercarriage are solid and correct with no structural rust or corrosion to speak of, a testament to the car’s dry California existence. Believed to have amassed only 64k miles in its 60 years of service, the original numbers matching XPEG 1500 engine is strong and sound, firing up easily, idling consistently and pulling strongly through each of the original 4-speed transmission’s gears. Despite its sparing use, the car was always maintained as needed and it runs and drives beautifully. There seems to be no propensity for overheating, the ride quality is visceral and sporty (as it should be), and after having thoroughly enjoyed a few dozen miles up and down the Santa Barbara coastline, we’d not hesitate to take this lovely driver out on an extended tour. This is an excellent opportunity to acquire a timelessly beautiful, very original MG TF 1500 finished in what is undoubtedly one of the very best liveries. An example that’s in turn-key condition, its been well-loved by its previous California owners and will undoubtedly provide its next with decades of trusty, grin-inducing service. We want this car to go to great home and would be happy to answer any questions, so please feel free to email us or call us at 805-202-4557. You can also visit us online at GoodmanReed. Goodman Reed Motorcars We’ve always had an appreciation for classic European cars and over the years have created an eclectic rotating collection. We only buy cars that we’d personally be interested in owning and generally only sell them to make room for other acquisitions. That time has come for this TF 1500 (if the price is right, of course – this isn’t a fire sale). We try to give accurate descriptions of the cars we’re selling, but we’re enthusiasts, not experts, and we encourage and are happy to help facilitate personal or professional inspections. But please do so before bidding, as the alternative harms our ability to make sales to other interested parties who have done their proper due diligence before bidding. For U.S. buyers a 10% non-refundable deposit is required within 3 days of the auction’s end, the balance to be paid within 7 days of the auction’s end. Foreign buyers must pay in full within 7 business days of the auction’s end. Buyer is responsible for shipping, however we’d be more that happy to help with recommendations and arrangements. The car is listed locally and we reserve the right to end the auction at any time should it sell prior to auction’s end. Thanks for your interest.

The award winning TF was considered the ultimate MG classic and it is easy to see why. Just about everything is perfectly proportioned, the length is just right and the double humps on the dash add to the speedster look and the exposed trunk on the back fits right in. Most people don't realize how spunky a MG TF is and this is partially because of the well-engineered motor and also because of its very lightweight. Chrome is all original and in excellent condition: New braking system overhaul with cylinders and new master cylinder, life long stainless steel exhaust was a new edition, 4 new tires, low mileage, complete tune-up, new frt. shocks. The engine bay and chassis shows obvious signs of use but appear clean and well maintained. The wood trimmed dashboard hosts a complete set of clear and extremely nice gauges and controls. The interior is nice and clean and the matching soft top simply puts this sophisticated driver over the top. Mechanically, it runs excellent out on the open road with excellent power and impressive handling. Overall, its a true pleasure to drive and because people just can't stop staring. And while these cars were never designed to be completely weather-tight the canvas roof and matching side curtains seal things up well enough that inclement weather won't put a damper on the party. Yes, the engine and transmission are original yes the lights are working factory directional, map light, fog lights, head lights, and taillights. And the heater works great. This is a numbers matching classic TF. The car comes with a fairly good amount of extra parts.

Purchased in 1978 in San Jose, California from a Naval Officer who used the car for fun and commuting back and forth to Moffett Field Naval Base. It is a head-turning car, fun to drive with a car club or just to take out for a little joyriding. As was the case with some MG-TD owners — the car was restored and modified over the years to suit the taste and imagination of the owner. The original engine compartment plates are in place — with matching VID/Body numbers. The car is not restored to its original condition. However, it is an excellent car for a complete restoration if desired. The engine is in good running condition. The engine is the original 1250cc 4 cylinder with twin SU carburetors that were modified with independent air filters. It has its original 4 speed manual transmission. It comes with new tires and a complete set of side curtains stored in the back compartment. It has its own tow bar (turn and break lights) that easily attaches to the front bumper to allow for transportation to car events or for relocation. It also comes with the MG Workshop Book, tonneau cover for the driving compartment and a full car cover.

You are bidding on a 1955 MG TF 1500 , that was purchased in the early eighties and was a basket case. In the early eighties the car was restored, but not finished a 100%. The drive train is not original, a Ford engine and transmission was installed. Current drive train can be used or it can be replaced with correct motor and transmission if you have one or can locate one. With the wrong transmission shifter is positioned far under dash. The car was running when parked 30 years ago. The car has been parked in a heated garage for the last 30+ years. Comes as shown, there was a top but it was in very poor condition, if we located well includes it with car. Car comes with a New Hampshire Bill of sale . NH doesn't have titles on cars that are 15 years or older, you want have an issue registering it in your state because it was purchased in NH, email me your phone number if you have question. $1000 paypal deposit due at close of auction, balance needs to be paid within 7 business days by cash, wire or check. All funds must clear before item is picked up. Look at pictures; email me any questions you may have before bidding. I can provide a shipping quote to the winning bidder. Unit is located in Pelham NH 03076.

1948 MGTC ROADSTER. BRITISH RACING GREEN WITH BLACK TRIM. WIRE WHEELS. EXCELLENT OLDER RESTORATION. Offered for sale, here on Ebay, from KURT TANNER RESTORATIONS, is this attractive and handsome MGTC Roadster. This car was recently purchased from the state of Massachusetts, but spent most all of it's life in the ownership of a family in Florida, where the car was very well-preserved. This MG was comprehensively ground-up restored there, and is still presenting extremely well. It is fitted with an alloy/wood steering wheel. The body and paintwork is extremely nice as well as all of the brightwork. Panel fit is very good. A new wiring harness was fitted during the restoration. It still retains it's original Lucas headlamp set. The dashboard and instruments are very pretty. There are some appropriate dress-up alloy components fitted to the engine which gives it a competition look. An alternator has been fitted for reliability. The car starts on the button and runs extremely well with great oil pressure and no smoke. It runs, drives, shifts, and stops as expected. This lovely car offers very good value in the current market when one considers current restoration costs. It has excellent, fresher cosmetics compared to some of it's tired-looking counterparts. It's presented in a period-correct and suitable color scheme. This car is located in Southern California and can be viewed by appointment. It is sold with a clear MA title. Very well priced at $32,750. KURT TANNER RESTORATIONS. 909-920-9221, work. 909-241-1051, cell.
