Here is a gorgeous example of the iconic MGTD Mark II models! This exquisite Mark II competition roadster is number 1,127 of only 1,710 ever built between 1950 and 1953. Out of that limited production, just 700 units were a left-hand wheel, set aside for export to the U.S. market. Under the bonnet, one's eyes are immediately drawn to its charming craftsmanship, nicely accentuated by the aluminum valve cover, chromed air breathers, satin finish SU carburetors and the brilliance of the brass radiator mantel - all original, and numbers matching! A complete frame-up restoration was done circa 1969. After restoration, this Competition Roadster was only used as a Sunday driver for many years, then it semi-retired and it was only driven a few times a year to shows and parades in Riverside, CA This formidable machine, although a viable trailer-queen, can be best appreciated full throttle on the road, a reminiscent of its competition days! Always stored inside and well maintained, odometer reads 7,701, believed to be original miles. Recently restored to enhance its attributes and preserve its original '69 patina. It proudly bears minor character trades that handsomely attest to its journey. This MKll drives and shows incredibly well and it is ready for its next chapter. Representing Morris Garage, which had started as an agent for the other British brand of automobile that used that same name, MG was designed for the sporting crowd. While better known for producing economical sportsters, there were a few custom coachwork versions on MG chassis produced and these were a favorite among anyone who felt a little extra need for speed. MG cars were well engineered and lived up to their company slogan of "Safety Fast."

The TF, unveiled in late 1953, represented a major evolutionary step for MG with its repositioned headlamps, new bonnet design, sloping hood line and raked radiator. TF 1500 has proven to be the most desirable of the T-Series cars as it marked the end of the series with more power and better handling. MG aficionados hold the model in very high regard, as they believe it represents the final evolution of MG's iconic and classic design. Outfitted in the ideal British livery of BRG over Tan leather upholstery, this particular MG TF benefits from a nicely mellowed older restoration. Today, it makes for an excellent driver or touring contender. The car shows evidence of much care and attention to detail and although the cosmetics have slightly aged it still remains a very attractive example. This example is striking in its attire, complete with tan weather gear including folding top, a full set of side curtains, boot cover and luggage rack. Its correct "matching numbers" XPEG 1500cc engine performs very well. The undercarriage has been thoroughly detailed and shows the quality of its previous restoration. Ideal for all around fun and enjoyment, this TF1500 represents one of the most desired post-war MGs and truly embodies the essence of British motoring at a fraction of the cost of its counterparts. $39,500.00 Offers Welcomed Full Resolution Photos: 1955 MG TF1500 To learn more about this vehicle, please contact our sales department at (281) 497-1000 or [email protected] SELLING YOUR CAR? Up for sale is 1952 MG TD MKII Black/Red/White. The TD is an award winning moving piece of artistic sculpture. Starting from an excellent condition original driver, in 2007 the car received a frame-off no expense spared restoration and has less than 2,500 miles since completion. Only the best parts available from Moss Motors were used in the restoration with a sharp eye on factory originality, period correctness, reliability, modern drivability and perfection of material finishes. This TD has been in a continuing state of restoration, upgrades and refinements since its restoration. The little cars surfaces are all very clean. The TD's wood, leather, vinyl, cloth, carpet, chrome, steel, aluminum, brass, copper, glass, plastic, rubber and painted finishes are all near flawless. The exterior fit and finish are all in perfect alignment. The black body welting and bonnet seals are a work of art. The interior is stunning, red leather, black carpet and white convertible top, side curtains and tonneau cover. Every item on the car is working correctly (except the clock) including all the electrical items attached to the cars new factory correct wiring harness. All parts on the car are ether new, rebuilt or restored to very high standard of quality and all executed with incredible workmanship. All the chrome is original to the car and was re-plated and is now flawless. The high quality multilayer single stage enamel paint job is near perfect, providing a mirror like reflections at every angle. The paints surface quality also extends to the engine compartment and underside of the car. The drivetrain is original to the car and all numbers matching. It has had many internal enhancements that allow the car to keep pace with modern traffic. The 1250CC engine was professionally rebuilt in 2007 now has the correct seals for modern gas, 9 to 1 compression ratio, ported & polished heads /intake manifold, larger valves and pistons. The engine is balanced and blue printed. The engines oiling system was also enhanced with better designed oil pump and the oil gauge reads 60 PSI when at normal operating temperature and it also has the modern rear Scroll Seal from Moss Motors, so it is not a big oil leaker. To complete the engines show quality appearance a nice polished finned aluminum valve cover, side covers all with red MG logos. The carburetors were just rebuilt, and have nice chrome carburetor cleaners. The generator and the voltage regulator were re-manufactured, new Lucas starter and new SU fuel pump. The car is still running the stock point system that I just replaced with new. The car also recently received, replacement spark plugs wires, spark plugs, cap and rotor. The transmission and rear end were professionally rebuilt in 2007 and shifts nicely and has no usual noises. The rear end was converted to the 4.3:1 rear end gearing that allows the car to maintain an acceptable RPM range and keep pace with modern freeway traffic. The car achieves 3500 RPM @ 60 MPH, 3,800 RPM @ 65 MPH and 4,000 RPM @ 70 MPH, possible 100 MPH @ 6,000 RPM. The MG's cooling system has been enhanced and is running a clean stock radiator with an electric cooling fan, Moss Motors water pump and modified original thermostat set to open at 70 degrees Celsius and the restrictor plate, Redline wetter water and aftermarket bullet aluminum overflow bottle. I drove the car last week on a hot, 95 degree day on the freeway at 3800 RPM for 35 miles and the temperature gage stayed under 90 degrees Celsius. The cars steering, suspension feel good at highway speeds and breaking systems are all like new and in order. The car has new 165 radial tires and stops quickly with no pedal fade, excessive movement or unwanted noises or raddles. The car is surprisingly fast and corners well. I have just changed all fluids with fresh. 20w50 engine oil and filter, new type synthetic DOT 4 brake fluid, 90w gear oil in the rear end and 90w120 gear oil in the transmission. ATF in the dash pots, motorcycle fork oil in the rack & pinion, changed the oil in the lever shocks, 50% mix of water and green antifreeze and wetter water. I also lubed all the Zert fittings, so it is ready to be driven and enjoyed. Here is a list of items that are included with the sale • A big box of spare and used parts, • containers of correct liquid fluids for the car • The original MG jack, lug wrench and manual starting handle • An original owner's manual • 2 ea. beautiful red reproduction Corvette C1 seat belts • 2 ea. round Lucas type side view mirrors attached to the wind screen • 2 ea.
