We are offering for sale today a classic 1952 MGTD British roadster. This MG-TD had been a driver for many years. Eventually it was taken in to have some fuel pump work done, but had been sitting ever since. The car is a very STRAIGHT very SOLID car. Lines are nice. Frame is ROCK SOLID and ORIGINAL. We need the car out of the garage so we have set up an auction for its immediate sale. The car will roll and steer with ease. The wood floorboards are in stellar shape. Even the drivers side scuttle-hole is in tact. Has its folding top frame. Missing a few pieces. Engine and transmission are in tact and was running fine, years ago before being garaged. Sold as shown and as seen. The paint + metal are pretty good but could use a refresh down the road. We have sold many classic European sportscars through the years with many satisfied customers. Just look at our feedback and bid with confidence. We will gladly allow to have the car inspected at any time during the auction. The structure and originality make this car a valuable RESTORE candidate.... Not many MG-Td's out there anymore and the ones you see are WAY UP in the 5 digit PRICE $$$ category. Our best price is much lower than those. We can help with shipping anywhere in the US for the lowest price possible. We have contacts with Central Dispatch and can get a car shipped to you for WAY LESS than what you could find yourself. We have dispatchers that WORK FOR US so you ONLY PAY the actual driver upon delivery!! We also have arrangements with a few exporters to most any location throughout the world. We have shipped several Mercedes and Jaguars to Europe and other destinations. Just look at our FEEDBACK and bid with confidence. No warranties expressed or implied. CLEAR FLORIDA TITLE. All sales final. A $500 non-refundable payment is due at auction end with the balance due within 3 days of auction end.

This was my father's car. It is an original frame, rebuilt in the 90's I believe. It has been stored in a garage in south florida for about a year. He passed away and I am unable to care for or maintain the vehicle as I reside in New Jersey and do not have garage parking. The car was well maintained and recently repainted. No noticeable dents, dings, or body imperfections. Engine and car both run/drive well but the vehicle needs a new battery and is in the process of being replaced. Canvas top, leather seating, interior, and exterior are all in very good condition.

This is a very nice 1952 MG TD. Newly painted and new upholstery and interior. No rust, all wood in good condition. Engine runs very well and the transmission also has no issues. Odometer shows 35,400 miles, but I don't know if this is original mileage or turned over past 100,000 mile mark. The original 5:12 ratio rear axle gears have been changed to 4:55, so the car cruises at 60 MPH effortlessly, can go faster, but more importantly the RPM's are cut down at cruise so fuel economy is better and the engine is under less strain at speed. All instruments work properly, including the clock in the speedometer, although after the interior work, the 12-volt lead was not connected to the clock, so that has to be done. The clock was overhauled in 2013. The top and side windows are in very good condition. The side windows are not fitting absolutely properly, and need to be fiddled with until they look better fitted. After the car was disassembled and put back together after painting, I think they weren't careful enough with fitting everything perfectly aligned. Clearly, it looks great now but could look better if you're a perfectionist, just needs some TLC in re-aligning stuff to be perfect. One of the good things about this car is that it is an over 60-year old antique, but Moss Motors, a company which specializes in old British sports car parts, supplies any part you could possibly need, so maintenance is EASY on this classic car, no spending days on the computer or the phone trying to track down parts. I will include some extras with the car. I have some special wrenches and sockets, because although much of the original hardware has been changed to standard there is still a lot of the original hardware which is some goofy British spec, neither standard metric nor SAE fractional sizes, so you'll find some bolts and nuts for which a metric wrench is too small and the fractional wrench is too big! Made sense to the Brits, I guess, but so does warm beer...In any event, you'll have the tools you need. I'm also including various manuals: original maintenance and shop manuals, restoration manual, and owner's manual. These are "original' in that they have been printed to resemble the original manuals, but are actually modern printings, so they are in good shape. Also included is a heater unit. This was an unusual option in 1952, and is not installed in the car. If you connect a 12 volt source to it the fan runs well, and the rheostat adjusts the fan speed well, but I cannot vouch for the rest of it. It was sold to me as being in perfect shape, but I never got around to installing it (I live in Florida) so I can't guarantee it won't leak. Nice rare piece for this car, though. Please see the pictures, and let me know if you have any questions. Thanks for looking.

MODEL YEAR / TITLE: I listed this car as a 1953 MGTD on eBay last week but then found out that the car is actually a 1951 MGTD. The previous title erroneously stated 1953, but the error has been corrected and I have received a new title with the correct model year. Please be assured that I have the clear Florida title in hand and it states model year 1951, so there will be no problem with transferring or exporting the car. BODY / FLOORS / FRAME: You will see in the pictures that the body, frame and undercarriage are extremely solid with only surface rust where the paint has flaked away. The paint appears to be completely original, with the flaws that you would expect on such an original old car. The body appears to never have had any damage or repair work. MECHANICAL: The engine runs excellent, the clutch and brakes are good, and the transmission shifts through all the gears. The battery is good. The tires are very old but don’t leak. To the best of my knowledge, the engine and gearbox are original. INTERIOR / TOP: The convertible top and side curtains appear to be the original ones that came with the car. It only has the front side curtains and is missing the small rear ones. The interior was re-done several years ago by the previous owner and it is still very nice. ELECTRICAL: The lights and gauges are all working. I have not found any electrical issues except that it is missing the wipers and wiper motor. TITLE TRANSFER AND PAPERWORK: I am a long-time classic car hobbyist and licensed as a Florida car dealer (Classic Investment Motorcars Inc.) This means we must complete various sales and title transfer forms, which can be done in person or through the mail. This fee applies regardless of whether you are an individual or a dealer. SALES TAX / TAG AND TITLE FEES: If you live in Florida or are personally picking up the car in Florida I am required to collect the applicable sales tax and tag/title fees. If the vehicle is shipped out of the U.S. or to another state by a freight company or common carrier I will not need to collect sales tax or tag and title fees (you will take care of that where you live.) DEPOSIT AND PAYMENT: A $200 non-refundable PayPal deposit is due within 24 hours of the end of the auction. The balance must be paid by cash, cashier’s check, or wire transfer within seven days of the end of the auction. All cashier’s checks must clear my bank before the vehicle can be released. If the winning bidder fails to pay in accordance with these requirements, I may, at my option, make second-chance offers or re-list/remarket the vehicle and the deposit will be forfeited by the bidder. We may also be able to help you arrange shipping, but the responsibility will ultimately remain with you. THIS VEHICLE IS BEING SOLD AS-IS, WHERE-IS, WITH NO WARRANTY EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. 1955 MG TF-1500 I think the MG TF 1500 is the most beautiful MG ever made and I sincerely believe my "TF-1500" is the best of the best and most beautiful of them all! If you don't think so, please take another look at the photographs. I see that other cars (dealers?) are much more expensive than mine (see price comps below) but I'll put my car next to theirs any day of the week. Although not in her original color, in her MG Red paintwork she looks absolutely fabulous. This paintwork must have involved taking the "Body Off" completely as both under the Car, under the Dashboard and under the Hood are the same MG red. My Car also has "NUMBERS MATCHING" as confirmed by British Motor Industries Heritage Trust Certificate number 2014/1581 (please see photo). The MG TF’s were manufactured between July 13th, 1954 and April 4th, 1955 with Body Numbers TF-6501 – TF-10100, a 14 month production run of 3,600 cars. It’s pretty obvious when looking at my Car, that a Very Extensive Restoration has been carried out as evidenced by the Car's really good condition and which the photos ably confirm. The indicated mileage is 1,927 which I believe to be the mileage covered since the restoration. While I have no real reason to disbelieve it, I can't substantiate it either. The car’s original color was Almond Green with a Green Interior. A previous owner had the sense to change it to MG Red and the paintwork is in exceptional condition save for the very few stone chips, etc., (there are no dents) that unavoidably come with use. The interior was also changed to Factory Matching, Red Leather with White Piping which also shows beautifully and is also in excellent condition. The TF came into being when sales of the TD slumped with the introduction of the faster, more modern-looking and similarly priced Triumph TR2. Morris Garages, makers of MG cars, merged with the Nuffield Organization to form the British Motor Corporation (B.M.C.). Considerable funding had just gone into the newly introduced Austin-Healey and, although designs for the MG-A existed, there was a shortage of liquid capital with which to put it into production. As a cost-efficient alternative, in 1953, the TF was introduced. Among the many changes; it had a sleeker Nose and a more graceful Tail. The Radiator was sloped back and the Hood-line inclined downwards to meet it. The Headlights were partially faired-in and the front Fender profile was modified. At the rear, the exposed Fuel Tank and Spare Wheel Carrier were made more rakish with the rear Fenders sporting a shapelier flare to match. Overall, the TF was 3.5 inches longer, an inch wider and half an inch lower. Individual, adjustable Seats replaced the previous Bench Seat and there was a new, centrally located Instrument Panel featuring the now famous and handsome, MG Octagonal Gauges. It was initially well received but times had moved on. Production ceased in mid 1955 with B.M.C. needing to devote its time and energy to the initial production of the MG-A. Only 3,400 TF-1500's were manufactured with the majority coming to America, to Canada and into Europe. Now about my Car:- Per the B.M.I.H.T. certificate, she was built between the 8th and the 12th of October, 1954. She had then, as now, Car/Chassis (V.I.N.) Number HDE43/7418, Engine Number XPEGTF1274, Body Number TF18013 and the factory optional, Chromed Wire Wheels. It was shipped from the factory to the U.S. on October 13th, 1954 Although she is a remarkable 60+ years old, she is in great, restored condition. During her history, many parts were chrome-plated that weren’t so plated by the factory. You’ll find these plated parts in all sorts of places including the Gas Tank sides and, believe it or not, all the Brake Drums and even the Prop Shaft, etc., etc., and especially under the hood. So if you're looking for a car that you can confidently drive to and successfully enter in your local car shows, she is it! Completely Rust-Free with the Undercarriage in excellent condition including all the recent, visible Wooden Components. Although she has been repainted during her 60 year life; the Paintwork has very few, very minor scars of being driven and there are no dents. The original Chrome-plated Parts and the Manufacturer's Badges, etc., are original and in excellent condition. The Clock doesn't work (they never do!) and the Horns and lights work. She has the very minor fluid leaks that just go with the era. I actually think I solved one by tightening the Oil Filter Housing. But, you know what they say about the British classic sports car, "if it doesn't leak, it's because there's no oil in it"! The Engine starts instantaneously from cold with short-lived use of the Choke and runs smoothly, idling at around 800 rpm and enthusiastically awaiting your use. She accelerates willingly with that gorgeous sound from the new Stainless Steel Exhaust with a Polished Muffler. She changes smoothly through all the Gears. First and Reverse are the typically noisy, Moss, straight-cut, non-synchromesh gears. There is virtually no play in the Steering but please remember that the driving position is the older "you can almost hit the horn button with your chest" style. The Steering is quite heavy at slower speeds compared with modern day cars as, in those days, there was no power assistance. The "Emergency" Brake works as it should and the car's Brakes are also good but do require more pressure than one is used to with modern cars (again, no power assistance). Similarly, comparatively heavy, the Clutch can give you wheel spin at the start in First Gear if you wish - proof that the Clutch is good. The Gauges, Switches and Lights have been checked and/or repaired/replaced and work as they should. She has been comprehensively serviced including:- All Fluid levels checked. The Radiator back-flushed and refilled with water. If you live where winters are a problem, please refill with Anti-Freeze. Fuel System checked. Carburetors checked. Air Cleaners cleaned. New Points, Distributor Cap, Condenser and Plugs fitted. Generator and Voltage Regulator checked. Other items of interest:- Chrome Wire Wheels and all 4 Brake Drums. Plenty of Chrome-Plated parts under the Hood, Fenders and at the rear. Four new Tires and a spare. A new, full, black, Tonneau Cover still in the supplier’s box un-opened. I also have an un-used white one if you'd prefer that? Twin, vintage, lap-type, Safety Belts. New Lucas PL700 headlights similar to those fitted to Rolls Royce and other British super luxury cars of the era have been fitted. Working Lucas SLD/SPF576 Spot/Fog Lights of the era and a wired/switched/working Reversing Light have been fitted. A brand new Badge Bar with brand new B.R.S.C.C., B.A.R.C. and MG Abingdon Badges. New Twin, fender-mounted Wing Mirrors and new, twin and of the era, vintage Windscreen Wind Wings etched with “1955 MG TF 1500” have been fitted. New battery cut-off switch fitted for security. She has the original Crank Handle (properly secured behind seats); twin Hood Stays (unusual); an MG Jack with Crank; an of-the-era, working, Hand Air Pump and the correct, Thor, Brass-headed Hammer for the Chromed, Wire Wheel, Knock-on Hubs. On the Passenger-side, Interior Valance a genuine antique, of-the-era, Polished Brass "Presto" mini Fire Extinguisher has been fitted in the original bracket. As the retardant is now illegal, the contents have been evacuated, so the Extinguisher is for decorative purposes only. There is a full MG Toolkit in a new Embroidered-Logo Toolroll. The Hood or Top is White and in good condition as is the rear, transparent window and the Hood's Frame-work. All four, White Side Screens, including the transparent vinyl, are in good condition. However, you surely don’t intend to take her out in the rain so I suggest you wrap them securely and put them in the attic where they belong. She also comes with a new Workshop Manual, an old-style but new Driver's Handbook (i.e. comprehensive) and Driver's Routine Service Manual and several publications which will interest you. A physical inspection by you and/or your agent is cordially invited but by appointment please. I am asking $38,950 but I'll certainly look at your reasonable offer. Typically of classic cars, she is offered on the basis of "AS IS, WHERE IS" and in strict and sole accordance with the terms of a mutually agreed, written SALE/PURCHASE AGREEMENT and a formal BILL OF SALE. My Florida title for the car is clean and unencumbered. So, how does my car and price compare with other cars advertised recently and believed to be in similar condition? 1955 MG TF-1500 I think the MG TF 1500 is the most beautiful MG ever made and I sincerely believe my "TF-1500" is the most beautiful of them all! If you don't think so, please take another look at the photographs. Although not in her original color (almond green) in her MG Red paintwork she looks absolutely fabulous looking quite like the Jaguar SS-100 which can now fetch between $300,000 and $500,000. Not only is my car gorgeous looking, it is NUMBERS MATCHING as confirmed by British Motor Industries Heritage Trust certificate number 2014/1581 (please see photo). As mentioned, the car’s original color was Almond Green with a Green Interior. A previous owner had the sense to change it to MG Red and the paintwork is in exceptional condition save for the very few stone chips, etc., that unavoidably come with use. Now about my car:- Per the B.M.I.H.T. certificate, she was built between the 8th to the 12th of October, 1954. So if you're looking for a car that you can confidently drive to and successfully enter in your local car shows, she is it! Please remember, she should not be a "Trailer Queen" as she wants to be driven. Completely Rust-Free with the Undercarriage in excellent condition including all the recent, visible Wooden Components. Although she has obviously been repainted during her 60 year life; the Paintwork has only the minor scars of being driven and there are no dents. 1954 MG TF California The eBay listing you are viewing is an 1954 MG TF. This is a very unusual opportunity because this TF has Documented Records going back to the 1950s and the car has a Numbers Matching Engine and Transmission and for numerous other specific reasons which I will discuss below: It is an unrestored 1954 Black Plate California Car (Note: All new 1954 California cars were issued a 1951 plate with the rear plate only updated with a "54" metal corner tab issued by the State of California) with its Original Tool Kit and Jack, Original Dealer's Brochure and Owner's Manual, and Clean and Clear California Title. Running and Driving and Always Starting on First Turn of the Starter. Over 3,400 pictures provided and 7 YouTube videos below. The car has original Lucas Star Headlamps which are virtually impossible to find, its actual original mounted spare tire and a genuine MG Mitten fitted cotton car cover, also included is the original valve cover in addition to the currently mounted aluminum wing nut cover, and original side curtains. The interior is the finest quality hyde English leather and supple and comfortable, having always been stored in indoor temperature and humidity controlled environment. Original adjustable steering wheel and all gauges function. People wait and search and sift 30 years or a lifetime to find an MG TF with these qualities. We have 100% positive feedback going back to our establishment on eBay 16 years ago in 1999. We offer complimentary on-hand concierge assistance and transport coordination available to any nation in the world, including buying and pickup/delivery of additional goods to include in your overseas transport container. You can reach us during normal U.S. hours at +1-561-two-two-three-nine-seven-six-seven and if no one answers please leave a voice message or send a message through eBay Messaging. There is currently not one other MG TF -- and has been no other available for a number of years -- of this caliber for sale in the United States. This is a Concours justified car. Priced here under the top end of the valuation scales that the world's top collectors use, at a Barrett auction this car would exceed a 125k bid. This is the opportunity to buy the right car, which you can confirm by asking any expert on these cars. Previews and inspections are available upon request. Payment by bank wire transfer or cash in-person is due within 7 days of agreed purchase price, and $500 deposit due within 24 hours. For sale only due to family estate liquidation. You may submit your offer or purchase today, available for immediate delivery after funds clearance to the Port of Miami. The following photograph album contains more the 3,400 pictures to satisfy the most discerning connoisseur, in addition to the standard 24 eBay hosted photographs below. The following video is 1 minute and 20 seconds long, and demonstrates a 360-degree walk around the car while idling warm. The following 3-minute video demonstrates the car on the roadway after having idled for 3 minutes. The following 2 minute and 30 second video demonstrates a test drive of the car idling after not having been started in a month. The following 31-second video demonstrates a very nice extremely slow idle -- about 90 RPM, compared to a normally 850 RPM idle -- before tapping on gas pedal after after just started for the first time in 2 months, started with nothing more than a single pull of the starter on the first try. The following 28-second video demonstrates an alternate camera view of the very nice extremely slow idle -- again, about 90 RPM compared to a normally 850 RPM idle -- just an absolutely impeccable sound note. The following 31-second video demonstrates an alternate camera view of the very nice extremely slow idle -- again, about 90 RPM compared to a normally 850 RPM idle -- a beautiful sound note example of the exhaust while cold: The final video today is 2 minutes and 30 seconds allowing for warm drivetrain on road demonstration of this just phenomenal iteration of the 1954 MG TF; it is simply an extraordinary feeling to drive this particular example, like no other MG TF I have ever driven because of its Provenance and Originality. A few other pieces of knowledge to help inform your decision on this once in a lifetime opportunity. The undercarriage of the car is excellent condition and in such clean condition it appears new-like in some respects. The original wheel knock off hammer that actually came withe car is included. It is not a reproduction. The tool kit includes various original Whitworth wrenches, the original jack and handles, all that accompanied this actual car when new. As mentioned, the spare tire is the actual original bias-ply spare that came with car, as in the actual tire. There are various club badges included from the 1960s and 1970s. The exhaust system is all new-ish and in excellent shape as pictured. The tires currently mounted on the car are bias ply tires from the early 1970s, making the tires currently mounted 40+ years old. An un-used new old-stock set of matching appropriately sized vintage style Dunlop radial tires will be included with the sale. Good luck in the submission of your competitive offers. You can reach us during normal U.S. hours at +1-561-two-two-three-nine-seven-six-seven, and if there is a no answer please leave a voice message, or send a message through the written eBay Messaging System.
