For sale European Right Hand Drive 1958 MG MAGNETTE. Vin # KAAA1332710 More pictures Below (90+) Here is a 1958 MG MAGNETTE ZB Black & Silver two Tone paint with Red Leather Interior, fitted with 4 Speed manual Transmission, Florida Clear Title, in need of some restoration. The car was imported from the UK in 1988, and kept by the same owner until recently, He brought the car to Tampa Florida and used the car up until 1994, when he took the car off the road to restore the vehicle to its former glory, it has been dry stored over the last 22 years and has had the interior completely redone to a very good standard, all though he never got round to the body work, Car starts on the button, and Chrome is excellent. Inside The seats have been recovered, New carpets and head liner and sun visors, Dash board and wood door trims are in great shape and i am not sure if they had been refinished or if they are original?, either way the wood is in great shape, Glass is all good order, no cracks, gauges all seem to work fine, and the inner chrome handles and trim are superb, door panels all look new to. Outside The paint is looking its age and is in need of a repaint Body panels all generally look good with no major rot or rust problems, Its 57 years old, so there is some surface rust and marks as to be expected, but as you can see from the pictures it looks ok, All the chrome work is there and is in excellent condition with no pitting and will clean up very well, both front and rear bumpers are exceptional and dent free, Head lights are in excellent condition and its fitted with some driving lights on the front bumper. Mechanical The MG Starts on the button and runs fine, and idles fine with no untoward noise or fuss, I drove the car approx 5 miles and it ran fine, 4 speed manual gearbox changed ok and brakes worked as they should, with drum brakes all round, don't expect it to stop like a modern car :) There is some extra parts with the car, See pictures provided, looks like a complete door and trunk seal kit, Front spare Lights, period radio and MG parts catalog & workshop manual, Also some interesting pictures of the car, from i would guess the 60's or 70s when the car was in England and some pictures of the original owner boating with family. The Bad Really needs full repaint and although most of the frame and floors are good, the front floor pans have had some welding done at some point to a poor standard and the left side really needs cutting out and redoing as there is still some rot and work is poor, See pictures, over haul and good complete car that requires some work to make it a great usable rare British Classic car.
