Purchased new by my Father in Cleveland Ohio and was immediately driven to California in 1976 and has remained in the family for the past 40 years. Has original 57,693 miles and has been treasured by the family with no accidents and original paint. Maintenance has just been performed on the vehicle and new tires installed on the wire wheels. Car has been lowered with lowering kit from Moss Motors and has the factory luggage rack. Vehicle runs well, just passed CA smog and is registered until June 2016. Sale includes 3 boxes of new and used parts and fiberglass Parish Plastics hardtop. Also comes with a Monza exhaust, Quick Trip Header, single Weber Carburetor which are not installed but fully functional as well as a shop manual. I grew up and learned to drive in this car and love it, but I’ve decided it is time that I let go of my Father’s memories and give it up to someone who truly appreciates these cars as I have very different tastes in automobiles. Vehicle is located in Irvine, CA. You can pick up locally or I can assist you to ship anywhere (transport expenses to be paid by Buyer).

I did a short five day listing on this beautiful 1969 MG MGC-GT, which ended during a time when the eBay questions system was down. I am re listing with a VERY reasonable Buy it Now and you can even make an offer but the car is priced well below what I am in it. I have owned and enjoyed this great MG-C several years, and have taken it to British Car events and shows as well as on some lovely long drives. This car is so smooth, wonderful to drive, and reliable, that it has needed only the cosmetic restoration I have given it, as well as a new clutch, all new brakes which omitted the troublesome dual servos which I do not have, and a complete new cooling system and radiator. I also replaced the steering rack with a new Heritage part, not a rebuilt. The overdrive works flawlessly, and the engine absolutely purrs and never even thinks of getting hot after the recore of the factory radiator, and a new water pump, hoses, etc. I also replaced the entire fuel system and put in a new factory fuel tank when we rebuilt the twin SU carburetors. The car had been dry stored a few years and was what appears to be a legitimate low mileage car. Very unmolested. It was laid up with brake issues from the servos (now all corrected and it stops beautifully with all genuine MG parts and new calipers and all hydraulic cylinders new for brakes and clutch.) Cosmetically I did the very intense job of a new full dashboard on the car. This is not a dash cap of any kind, and requires complete removal and replacement. It looks wonderful. Included is the expensive piece for the radio console as well which I will include (see photo of extra parts) but did not install as I leave it to the new owner to decide what type of radio to use during the fitting of this piece. I have fitted a correct new underhood insulating pad and after these photos were taken, the other rear reflector arrived as well as two genuine new old stock front amber reflectors which I have not fitted as the holes were filled. I think it looks cluttered with all those reflectors but they are included if you want to be correct. I have just installed a brand new battery as well. I have not done under dash pads to conceal wiring, which would look nice after the radio is decided upon. The front marker lamps are new, as are the reverse lamp units and all the rear lenses as well. The car has beautiful new leather seats in the correct pattern and style for this model year only, which were quite costly to do well and also has a British Made new full carpet kit. The two kick panels not showing in the photos are now fitted. The car was painted its original Primrose yellow to a very high standard, and chrome trim and badges were replaced, but the original bumpers looked quite good and remain with some average wear. The windshield has some light scratching but all other glass is excellent and the windscreen is fine as is for a driver. All the troublesome aluminum trim is still present front and rear. There is no rust that I can find in either the floors or rocker areas and the rockers look like good quality steel replacements at some point. There was no body work needed when I repainted the car, and preparation was done carefully with new side mouldings , badges and other trim fitted after removal. The trunk is perfect and the car is very solid with no corrosion in the battery box either. There are four recent high quality Pirelli tires on solid painted type wire wheels as well as a good spare wire wheel and tire, jack, and spare wheel hardware. The period radio is not hooked up and the antennae hole has a rubber plug. All the gauges and electrics work, and there is a new correct heater valve The fussy chrome covers for the liftgate springs were also replaced. This is a very pretty way above average driver quality car, that gets lots of attention at shows. It is such a pleasure to drive, and with some needed detailing in the engine room, could win club shows. New bumpers are quite inexpensive and would add to the beauty, and the interior with its gorgeous new carpet, leather, and high cost dash job is truly superb. The photo shows that I omitted the ashtray which is included, and also the hard to find original air cleaner is there with one of the two mounting discs (the other can be found online or fabricated easily) and the hardware. I also include a bit of a touring kit of new extra hoses , belt, and other items. I am selling this wonderful car to complete a recently acquired Triumph TR250 another smooth six cylinder British Sports car that I love. I will sorely miss my gorgeous C-GT. There are little things to do on the car as noted above but absolutely nothing that will prevent its new owner from simply getting in and enjoying the driving experience right away. I also changed out to new all the cables: hood, choke, accellerator, and speedo. The project cars that have been trading at Hagerty Low prices around 6 & 7K make this an absolute steal for what has been done to it. You cannot build a nice one of these for this price if you start with a free car. . If you've wanted a C-GT and have avoided the junk and projects wisely, this is your car finally arrived. Seems a lot of the automatics have been floating around too but a good, solid Overdrive C is getting harder to find. Somebody snags a car you could never build for the price. It is a good one, Grab it! Check my feedback. I don't sell one of my cars often, but when I do its a great opportunity. Feel free to ask questions or for more pictures.
