This is a good deal for someone wanting a MGA roadster that that can reassemble to make a very nice driver. The VIN indicates that it is a late 1500 roadster. The car is built to a 1600 specification (fenders, engine). The chassis has been repainted and is solid. There are new plywood floor boards lying on the frame. One panel was misplaced, but one can easily replicate it using the other side as a pattern. The body has been repainted on in a dark cream color, a little too dark for Old English White in my opinion, but nevertheless it looks good. The body is sitting on top of the chassis, but it is not 100% attached. The body still has fabricated cross bar supports that maintain the trueness until final assembly. On the driver's side of the trunk floor there is a patch that needs to be finished up in a more tidy fashion, other than that it is a rather solid car. The windshield is in good condition and is still in its frame. The seats while decent enough for a driver, need to be recovered and it also needs an interior panel kit. I have a Moss kit in red vinyl for both, that I was going to use on another project, but is available for an extra amount. A cloth convertible in beige is still in its wrapper from Moss Motors. Several sets of side curtains come with the car, including a rare set from an early 1500 roadster. A set of wing wings is there as well. The dashboard (painted to match the car) and the gauges are there, as well another dashboard and pieces to make it a RHD specification if you so desire. The car rides on a set of 48 spoke wire wheels that are fine for rolling the vehicle around, but included are a decent looking set of 60 spoke wheels that have decent splines and no broken spokes. The 1600 engine was bored .030 over to give it a displacement of around 1622cc. The block and valve cover are painted in the correct maroon. An early 18G MGB head is included to complete the 1622cc specification. The head needs to be rebuilt and repainted. I have not disassembled the engine to examine what work was done, but for piece of mind, I would suggest going through it before final assembly. The standard four speed transmission is there as well. The deal includes perhaps two pickup truck loads of spare parts. It looks like it was the result of a couple of cars that were dismantled. Extra distributors, side curtains, steering columns, brake calipers, master cylinders, chrome bits, boxes and buckets, NOS gasket sets, etc. I have never gone through it all, but you have more than enough to complete the car. Overall, this is a lot of MGA for the money. All of the heavy lifting has been done. Car has a clear California title. When finished, it will be a very nice driver. Bring a trailer and give it a good home. As with any car purchase, I suggest an inspection to see if the car suits your expectations. If I accept your bid or offer on the car, it is not an opportunity to come look at the car and kick the tires. Ask questions beforehand and arrange to inspect the car before making a bid or offer. **Car is sold as is with no warranty. It is a 55 year old car, and I have I described it to the best of my ability. I have owned many British cars over the years and will answer your questions with brutal honesty. I like to give you the total facts as I see it, since I have been burned by Ebay car deals in the past. If you are serious contact me and I will give you my phone number, so you can contact me.
