I am selling my restored 1976 Mercury Montego MX....it was restored several years ago and is holding up well. She runs like new and drives like a dream. I have the original 14" tires and hub caps the originally came on the car and will include them in the sale. I have replaced them with 225/60R-16 thin white wall tires with new aluminum rims from a Crown Victoria. I am ready to move on to my next project, original 351W / C4 drivetrain. Has been gone over and many many new bits and pieces. New Resto radio. So many new parts. I have well over the starting bid invested in this car, but then again, I restored it for fun, not financial gain... If you are looking for a Torino, this is a great substitute at a great price....

I am selling my 1973 Mercury Montego MX Brougham. I have owned it for a little over a year. I have been driving it as my daily driver for about a year. I have had no issues with the car. It had 41,000 miles on it when I bought it. It now has just over 51,000 miles on it. I drive it about 85 miles a day. It has a 351 Windsor engine with an automatic transmission. It has power steering and air conditioning.It has a white exterior with blue cloth bench seat. I had daul exhaust put on the car when I bought it. I also just replaced the tires and wheels because the tires were "Blems" and had a lot of wheelweights on it. I removed the "Nugget" type wheels, which where 14" and replaced them with 15" Chrome Reversal wheels with chrome center caps to make it ride a little better. The car runs and drivesjust great. I have had no issues with it at all. All the belts and hoses have been changed with NAPA parts. The air conditioning blows cold. I can send you more photos on request. Very Rare All Original Numbers Matching has Strong running V8 302 small block in excellent condition only 71k original miles Automatic transmission shifts smooth 99% complete .. Previous owner kept all original! Survivor Car! has original Mercury Centurion Rims - very hard to find! have additional chrome for trunk great daily driver while restoring or drive as is All surface rust and floor pans have been repaired could use a lil interior love..mostly seats redone.. an easy project as all the hard work has been done! a lot of work done to the engine new wires, plugs , distributor cap..etc New Headliner New carpet 2 new Kuhmo tires on rear New Burnt orange Plasti-dip.. peels off if you dont like the color just had the brakes bled / resurfaced- stops great A great example of a very rare first generation Montego ( same as Ford Gran Torino ) As far as i know its the only 68 montego for sale on EBay.. which goes to show just how rare this vehicle is and in all original driver condition!
