This has a 4 speed manual top loader transmission. The motor was built in 2009 and is the correct block for the car. Had about 25,000 miles on motor since then. No leaks or rust on car. This Comet is a beautiful daily driver with a load of brand new and/or updated parts. It runs and drives daily and is an inspected car. We are reluctantly selling in order to buy a late model car for our daughter. We bought this car for $5,500 and spent over $5,000 in all of the upgrades and new parts...our loss is your gain!!! The steering wheel was replaced, but we do have the original that goes with the car, along with some extra Comet parts that we'll include. Also the lower dash is included as well. This car also has the original factory Halo roof and black interior. All of the glass is in great condition with no chips or cracks. This car gets compliments and head turns all the time. up for sale is my 1967 mercury comet caliente it has a completely rebuilt 1969 302 engine bored .030 eagle rods speed pro hyper pistons new bearings complete comp cams kit from lifters to timing chain c-4 auto trans shifts smoothly stock 8 inch rear with highway gears new rims tires complete front suspension new power steering set up new power steering pump new alternator plugs wires pertronix distributor the list goes on and on the engine has 50 miles on it new from air cleaner to oil pan everything is new car is in beautiful shape rides and stops like it did in 67 drum breaks all around non power I have owned this car for 2 years and have driven all over and it has not failed me once I have spent a ton of cash to build her and I have lost interest I have gone to car shows and have not seen a single one yes you can get parts for it it also needs to be said there is no rot or rust and the body panels appear to be original no cut in quarters or the like e-mail me and I will answer any question you have good luck
