This is a big body stunner with gorgeous lines and curves. It is a timeless classic you just do not see any more at all! This is a two owner car and the previous owner had it for about 6 MONTHS! It was owned and driven by a doctor almost its WHOLE LIFE! The body is SUPER clean with no rust and is a very solid car. All panel gaps line up nice and the doors shut with confidence! No need to slam any of them. The trim is all in great condition and shines NICE. The grill is super clean and BOTH bumpers show very well. The headlights are CLEAR and show no signs of crack or chips. The taillights look good as well and this car looks incredible from the back! The two tone blue paint is driver quality and looks very good as pictures show it reflects VERY well! With that being said, there are some rock chips that have been touched up very well. This car has been driven and is MADE to drive! A new frame was introduced in 57 and it makes this car SUPER SOLID! It drives down the road with ease and fires up first time every time. The engine bay hosts the 368 and it is paired with an automatic transmission. It is nice and clean and runs super strong. The Turnpike Cruiser badge is still intact and looks great! This is the same as the Lincoln Y block and can do 16.2 MPG! The engine is super quiet and shifts like a DREAM!! The interior is original and is in incredibly good condition. There is a crack in the vinyl on the driver’s side that is pictured but either than that it is SUPER clean! The seats are plush and the back ones look to have never been sat on. The dash is gorgeous and shows no signs of heat rash or cracks. The original BIG steering wheel is still present and looks great. This car was SO ahead of its time featuring push button start and shifting as well! The door panels are nice and ALL hardware works. The POWER antenna works as well! The radio does not work but is present. The headliner is nice and tight and has no rips. The gauges are super clear and EASY to read. This is one of my favorite cars on our showroom floor, and we have the largest classic showroom in the Mid-West! This Mercury has been owned by my mother since May 1988. She is the second owner. She purchased the car after her husband passed away. She is now 95 and has decided it is time to let the car go. It has 37774 original miles on it. In the last few years it has really not been used at all. It was just driven enough to keep everything working properly. While she owned the car it was never driven during the winter. As soon as fall arrived the car was put away and she dove her pickup. The interior of the car is in like new condition right down to the original floormats. For a vehicle of that year the exterior is in very nice condition with the exceptions as noted above. The car has absolutely no rust. It has no oil leaks or drips. Everything on the car works. The A/C compressor was replaced and it was retrofitted to R134A and recharged. This was a top-of-the-line Mercury Grand Marquis LS with all the bells and whistles and a very luxurious interior.

This Comet Caliente was professionally built on a rotisserie with all floor pans and rear lower quarter panels replaced. The frame connectors were fabricated and welded in while on the rotisserie. This car shows incredibly well! The panels are incredibly straight and the body lines are CRISP! The hood and trunk lid are straight as well. The doors shut as they should without having to slam them or lift up (no sag at all). They close to reveal EXCELLENT panel gaps as well! The paint that was laid down on the body was done with extreme attention to detail! The entire car was disassembled and all painted separately. All hard to paint places have been painted VERY well! It was then assembled very carefully and trim was then put back on. The underside of the hood and trunk lid have just as good of paint on them as the exterior! The pictures and video really do not capture how well this paint reflects anything put in front of it. This paint is SO close to perfect and like I said before it shows EXTREMELY well. All of the trim and bumpers look great and shine true and bright. The headlights are clear and have no chips or cracks. The same goes for the taillights and they look incredible. All of the glass on this car looks great as well! It has won numerous awards for best paint at local car shows in Tennessee. The fenders have actually been worked to fit the vertical headlights of a 1964! The engine bay is incredibly clean and so much detail has been added under the hood. The end result is a fuel 1999 Cobra transplant! The reliability of modern technology in a timeless rare Comet! As pictures show there is so much added chrome and polished aluminum that it is blinding! The paint in the bay is incredible! It shows just as well as the exterior. The interior is SHOW quality as well, with custom covered two tone seats that do not even look like they have been sat on before. The carpet is all brand new and if free of rips, stains or tears. The Comet floor mats are a nice touch as well. The center counsel appears to be brand new and looks great. The dash and door panels all have custom paint on them and the paint shows well. The gauges are clear and not foggy at all (super easy to read). The switch for the electric dumps is hidden under the dash. The headliner is nice and tight and is super clean as well. All of the door hardware works as it should and all of the interior trim shines as well as the exterior. They did not skip a beat on this car! It drives incredibly well and sounds amazing at idle and even better when you get into the gas. It starts, runs and drives as a muscle machine should. It pulls STRONG through every gear and hits every gear without any problem at all. It shifts smooth like butter. Having a 99 Cobra rear-end it is a highway machine and will drive you were ever you would like to go! At just shy of 3000 pounds this Comet scoots extremely well and is an absolute blast to drive!
