2003 Mercury Marauder 300A. 4.6 dual overhead cam V8 Mach 1 engine! 125,000 miles. automatic transmission. fully loaded with all power. New Firestone wide oval W rated tires. $2,000 in recent service work including axle shafts, bearings and seals in the rear diff. All new brake rotors and pads and parking brake. Front end ball joints. Will pass MD state inspection fine. I purchased the car from the original owner and the car is titled in my name. The car has a clean vehicle history report and I have the clean title in hand with no liens. The car just passed MD emissions test with no issues.  The car has the original floor mats, the driver's side has some light marks from normal foot traffic. The interior leather is in excellent condition. The headliner is perfect. The paint is in excellent condition but there is some  fading  clear coat towards the front of the roof which was common on these cars. it is not noticeable until you get within five feet but I am trying to describe everything and be as accurate as possible so that you know exactly what the car looks like. The rest of the car paint is really great and people are constantly complimenting me on the paint. Chrome rims are nice and the tires are new.  This is a super fast car and it is all stock and never molested. 32 Valve 302 HP 310 ft. lb torque Aluminum V8. Ford Motors worked with Roush Engineered to design the intake and exhaust system. This is the king of the Ford Panther triumvirate of Crown Victoria, Grand Marquis Lincoln Town Car platform. Runs good. Engine is 289 4V Holley with 4-speed toploader and Hurst shifter. Originally Turquoise paint color with C-Code 289 2V with C4 automatic, power steering and factory AM radio. Has an aluminum Edelbrock intake, Cobra valve covers, good dual exhaust, good headers, large 1-inch front sway bar, 8-inch rear and nice interior. Top works as does lights, wipers, blinkers and heater fan. Motor sounds beautiful with good oil pressure and no smoke. Barn fresh with solid, straight body. This car was tastefully restored and put away for years. I flushed the old gas and drove this car today. All gears engaged smoothly. New ignition switch and key cylinder just installed. Good clutch but clutch pedal sticks down (bushing needs oil) slightly and so does the throttle so needs some love but solid car with much of the hard work done. Brakes are a little locked up (needs new wheel cylinders) from sitting, but drivable to load on trailer. Steering feels good and car steers straight. Nice original glass. Doors close good. Body looks real good and straight except minor rust driver rear quarter (see video) and dent on top of driver front fender (see video). Undercarriage looks rust free (see video). Cowl leaks some water. Everything works except AM radio and horn. Passenger door panel sticks when you open that door. Passenger door window stuck in up position and needs oil. Clean factory apron VIN stamp and sweet original driver door data tag. This is a nice, solid and unique hotrod convertible that needs cleaning, brake work and love. Ready for new owner and fun. I purchased this car a few months back on Ebay to be used as a daily driver for my business in and around Washington, DC. Well, short story is the seller left out some details which do not make this a car I want to stick with. The good – Runs well, changed the alternator (Kept pulley from the an old one and changed belt, no more breaking belt), New tires, under 300 miles on them. Top is new, installed improperly though by seller. Lights flip up properly. I will include the shop manual and cup holder purchased along with updating wire harness to use with newer radios. The bad – Since top wasn’t put on correctly, top leaks in pouring rain. Estimate I got, if it can be corrected was $350-$400, or, $700 to install new. A/C not working, have not looked into issue. Seats have gotten wet. Small dent in front end, passenger side at bumper. Airbag light flashes 5 times, can’t find what the code is, but the vehicle has passed Maryland inspection & emissions in August 2015. I bought another sending unit, not installed. I’m in to the car for $2900 and with the extras I need, it isn’t worth it for me to go any further. I can part it out and make more, just not worth the effort. My loss is your gain.
