2005 Mercury Grand Marquis LS Premium with just 77,300 miles! I am selling this car for a 96 year old lady that recently passed away. She was fairly well off financially and the car appears as if it was detailed and maintained well since new. It is extremely clean and runs well. This vehicle comes equipped with the 4.6 liter V-8 motor, automatic transmission with rear wheel drive, leather interior, dual power seats, power windows, power locks and mirrors, tilt wheel, factory CD stereo, cruise control, automatic climate control, keyless entry and 16" alloys with deep tread 225/60/16 Michelin Symmetry radials! I am a part time race car mechanic and I am disclosing all issues that I know of regarding this car. Exterior The Powder Blue metallic paint is in near perfect condition. The body is extremely straight with original paint. The car has a couple of tiny scuff marks on two of the doors and the rear bumpers have some scuffs on each corner (see images). Otherwise the paint is spectacular considering this cars age. This is the cleanest best paint I have ever seen on a 70,000 mile car. It is so shiny and straight that the vehicle almost looks brand new. The bottom of the car is totally rust free and in pristine condition. Interior The interior is very clean with no cracks on the dash or steering wheel. This Mercury even smells good. It has never been smoked in. The gray leather seats are in very good condition. They are not ripped or dried out. They have the usual leather type cracking but are in great shape and have never been dyed. The rear seat has a deep scratch in the middle seat panel (see image). All seat controls work fine. The door panels are perfect and the dash is too. The carpeting has been recently shampooed and is in very good shape. The car includes a set of universal car mats that are also in good shape but do not fit perfectly (universal). The headliner and visors are super clean and recently shampooed. The passenger door needs repair. The locking button does not go up and down with the switch like the other 3 doors do. You have to open the passenger door manually. The solenoid makes noise like it is working so my guess is the metal wire needs to be reattached to the door button (maybe $75 to repair). There is nothing else in need of repair. Engine The V8 original engine runs well and there are no check engine lights. The engine appears to be well maintained. I recently drove it to Daytona (500 miles total) and averaged 80 - 90 MPH the entire way. The vehicle got 22.5 MPH. I am certain it would have been higher had i traveled at 70 MPH. The car didn’t burn any excessive oil and it does not appear to leak. The tires are Michelin and I estimate they are only about 30% worn. The sidewalls are perfectly clean with no curb rash. This 1996 Mercury Villager GS Mini Van was used in the Award-Winning HBO Series "The Soprano's" Season 6 Episode 15 "Remember When" one of the most outstanding episodes that was a stepping stone to the end of the Sopranos. Tony and Paulie spent quite a bit of time in this vehicle reminiscing while heading to Florida to stay one step ahead of the Feds who were looking for a bookie Tony and Paulie whacked in the 80's. This is one of the last if not the last vehicles Tony drove in the whole series other than his Escalade. It is probably the only Minivan Mr. Gandolfini ever drove on film in his entire career. There were actually 2 Villagers used in the filming of this episode one for outside shots which was a 1997 that was destroyed and this 1996 which survived and was used for the inside shots which is actually about 95% of the vehicle footage in the episode. The original props are included with the van which are Tony's Coke can and Paulie's water bottle both with date stamps prior to Episodes Release could have DNA !!!!!!!.It has been fitted with multiple brackets to hold cameras and lights while the vehicle was in motion or still, these brackets can be considered as uni-body alterations and would void any factory warranty or safety responsibilities. This vehicle was bought new in New Jersey and spent the majority of it's life there and Florida it is Titled in New Jersey to Movie Time Cars Inc. who supplied HBO with the vehicles for the Sopranos and also signed off on the title, so it is a open title at this time (see pics). For a movie vehicle this van is in decent condition, it always starts at the turn of the key the air is cold the radio and power windows and locks work the transmission shifts well the brakes are good but the rotors have some surface rust from sitting which will probably go away after being driven. The vehicle has not been driven more than a few blocks every few months since 08. The overall paint is very good with exception of the hood which needs to be repainted, I didn't have it done because I have no idea what the next owner is going to do with this vehicle so why increase the cost. The windshield is also cracked but it has the Soprano Logo in the tint band so I did not replace it. The rear bumper reinforcement has been removed to make room for camera brackets but comes with the van. The rear bumper cover is set up for quick removal not safety. The van does need 3 tires and a windshield washer reservoir , it actually runs very well and the interior is very nice considering age and use, but of course it is being sold as-is. I have tried to list links to video of this Episode with no success but it is on You Tube , Amazon , itunes , ect. just search Sopranos Season 6 Episode 15. The possibilities are endless for this vehicle, great advertising vehicle. 1964 Mercury Monterey with a 390ci 2 barrel carb, and a multi drive , automatic transmission, with a 3.00 rear axle. Miles read 56,626 unknown...Really cool car, I don't think I have seen one prior. CAR IS PRICED TO SELL NOW, NOT TAKING PENNIES< JUST PRICED RIGHT... Motor sounds really good and not making any crazy noises.... " CHOP THE TOP....." Car will fire up with gas in the carb or starter fluid on a couple cranks. Previous owner drove the car until around 7mos ago. The breaks were low on fluid so I added fluid and they need to be bled. There is significant rust in the roof area, truck upper area and various other placing there is rust. Floors and lower portions, rockers and much of the car is in solid good shape. Whoever did the work just bonded the trunks drip panels which separated. You could fix whats there by replacing the roof, or portions, and cut out rear deck area's. Hood bulge looks to be from a thunderbird, the body work is coming out and the deck lid has rust. Cars under carriage and other parts are in good condition, you could part the car out for more than I'm asking. Car would be a great parts car, or rat rod, every piece of aluminum or chrome appears to be there, I looked up used pieces and if you were to need the parts you're well over 3500 just in parts.All the glass is good including the rear glass. I have tried to take pictures of most everything I think is the worst and what not. I hand polished a few spots to show that this cars trim and glass will clean nice... Rims are sport rims and tires are good, not dry rotted, another 600 bucks easy with tires. Interior panels are not stock but in really good condition along with the dash. All and all really great car because everything is there, if you needed this,,,that...etc, this is the car for the ride you've been wanting to do. Alot of the parts used are not readily available. Appears this trim will also fit the other Mercury cars. "MAKE YOUR OFFER" all real offers will be considered, If you need it, don't let it get away....
