This Merc is a testiment to what design and top workmanship can attain.Of course its also a pleasure to drive and economic as well. Paul installed a beautiful 49 Merc dash with VDO Guages, [ LED shift indicators ], slotted AC vents along with other great fabrication ideas. I am the third Owner and purchased it in 2005. I have replaced tie rod assembly/ shocks/rear axle bearings/ brakes and exhaust system. the exhaust tips exit level under the bumber corners The engine is a stock 78 Vette over .030 [ three deuces (end carbs-custom bases with machined butterflys and spring returns. Idle circuits are blocked. ) runs perfect no Idle adjustment problems.Petronix Dist] [mid 80's 350 turbo Trans with a lock-up converter ( optional on/off Switch on cruise control lever)] [Custom polished alum exhaust w/Smithy mufflers]. heavy duty radiator w/[custom SS shroud]. 78 Nova front sub-frame w/disc brakes and a 78 Nova 323 Rear axle under 4" blocks. [ 5 Dayton SS 100 Spoke Rims w/Firestone 380 tires] Custom interior using GM heavy duty 3480 fabric (flawless) with [matching trunk interior and center console] Custom California bumpers w/rear 55 Pontiac upper licence plate light bar. Top chopped 4" front and 5 1/2 " back to blend with 50 Merc rear window for a beautiful top line. I'm 6 foot tall and have front head room. Door vent windows removed. Hood fender and door corners rounded. 54 Merc frenched head lights with custom bulbs. [ 3 stacked rear 54 Merc taillight lenses with 2 LED bulbs ] 84 Pontiac Grand Prix tilt steering column W [Grant 704 steering wheel] 84 Buick Riviera elec 6-way front seats w/[ custom console to match dash paint and seat fabric] and [ purple seat belts] Elec - remote door/window/trunk. 87 ford mustang side mirrors w/[ dash electric control] Sealed under-carriage. 82 Riviera gas tank. [Mustang mstr/cyl and brake booster] Front fenders fabricated for parking light custom flush fit. [ custom grill assembly with moulded fiberglass housings supporting a 58 caddy modified grill, 2001 honda vents and 54 Chev parking lights]. The complete assemble is supported by 3 bolts and very easy to remove. I also have the 54 pontiac grill that came with the car. [ In 2009 Smoothed and streamlined the door panel dips reshaped the Quarter panel lines to flow with the skirt lines.] [Fabricated 2 hood side scoops and 12 hood louvers] [added paint hi-light lashes on hood, fender and side area's] [ In 2011 Installed Engine,Interior and underbody LED show lights with seperate controls for wheel-well and frame LED'S. (controls are in the center console) plus remote controls. Fender Skirts scouped to hold LED strips that works with parking lights [2014 All new purple rugs,seat edging and seat molding vinyl replaced thoughout car....... AWESOME !! . Up for sale is a 2008 Mercury Mariner. It is the hybrid model. It is a 2wd model as well. I average between 28-30mpg depending on where and/or how it is driven. It has most every option. It also has a relatively new set of Michelin tires on it. The new set was installed in earlier this year. It does not have navigation. Also, to be very clear about the ad, the interior dome light over the seats does not work. (It may be a simple fix, not sure, I drive this vehicle mostly during the day so its never been an issue for me.) The only other issue is there is a ding over the driver side rear taillight. It is not very noticeable, I just wanted to be up front about it in the ad. Please see the pic of it as well.
