I am excited to offer this gorgeous and rare 1948 Mercury Custom 2 door coupe. There is no other like this one anywhere. This car is full of chrome and full of upgrades as well. It has power windows, power locks, power brakes, power steering, a 350 ZZ4 450 power plant, disc brakes front, 9 inch rear end, show quality paint, power cloth top and more! The motor is a GMZZ4 V-8 that runs and sounds incredible. It has been blueprinted and balanced by Mcbetts Racing. It has a Holley 750 CM carburetor, Griffon polished aluminum radiator, chrome water pump, chrome A/C compressor, chrome alternator, chrome valve covers and an intake manifold by Street and Performance. The motor is connected to a smooth shifting automatic transmission with shifter in the center console. This car drives and runs great. It is a nice smooth ride and does not pull to either side. The motor has plenty of power to get your blood flowing when you step on the pedal. The Show Quality paint looks fantastic. The awesome exterior of this car is finished in bright red with white, orange and yellow flames that has a beautiful luster and shine to it. There is a very small chip in the paint in the front of the hood. The front and rear chrome bumpers and grill are show quality with no blemishes to be found. The paint is accented by lots of chrome. All of the chrome is in great shape. The tan cloth convertible top and boot are in excellent condition with no stains and only one small broken snap on the top. The Halibrand polished 15 inch rims are in great shape and are wrapped in new P205/70 R15 Radials in the front, and new P235/70 R15 Radials in the rear. This car has a 1967 Camaro painted sub frame, parallel leaf rear with Ford, a stainless steel gas tank, master power front disc brakes, rear drum brakes and power steering. The tan leather seats are in great shape with only very minor wear. The darker tan carpeting and floor mats are also in great shape, as well as the tan dash. The tan door panels look awesome with matching flames. All of the gauges, lights, horn and wipers work. There is an added Alpine AM/FM/CD player with remote and amps. It is located behind the left rear seat. When have you ever seen a 1948 Mercury with air conditioning, power windows, power locks and tilt steering? The tan carpeted trunk looks great with a trunk release button on the dash. Included in the trunk is an electric scooter, "Lightning", that has been painted in matching red.
