THERE IS NO TITLE WITH THIS CAR ONE CAN BE HAD VIA THE COURTS THIS CAR IS NOT STOLEN AND YOU CAN CHECK IT WITH THE NJSP IN TRENTON Sold As Is!I have here a nice Mercedes V12 SL600, the car was abandoned up in RI back in 2009 after the guy had a small accident but never payed for the repair? The car just went for a service at Mercedes in Little Silver NJ and had oil change, new tire's, greased etc.The car could do with a good clean, there are concrete splashes on hood and scratches here and there so should be professionally cleaned or painted, it does have a hard top but the rear glass has a crack in it, the passenger seat is stuck forward and needs a new cylinder in seat to get it working also one of the locking cylinders for the roof leaks oil due to seal gone, these are all easy fixes, I'm just seeing if there is any interest at this price otherwise I will go via the courts to get title and put the price up.

1985 Mercedes 380SL, 83,000 Miles, $13,700 or Best Offer. Sellers Note:This is a clean, original well cared for example of an 380SL. These are getting harder and harder to come by in this price/condition range. I collect these cars and in doing so, I know the market. Unfortunately I need to make room in my collection for new additions, so I'm selling this one. It truly is a beautiful car that will not disappoint! ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The absolute best year for the 380SL Model; Clean, original, unmolested car: I purchased this car from what was believed to be the estate of the second owner, an 88 year old lawyer from West Virginia. The car has always been looked after by professional Mercedes mechanics, and appears to have been garaged and well cared for its entire life. It has a like new professionally installed German soft top. The estate provided me with the latest receipt for a new fuel pump, fuel hoses and filter and new starter. All Fluids changed (brake, antifreeze, transmission, and differential). Idles smooth, accelerates without hesitation, shifting automatically with ease through every gear. It has 4 like new tires and new battery. This 380SL came from the factory with the duel row timing chain that the earlier problematic 380sl's did not have. So you can almost guarantee the car will give you hundreds of thousands of trouble free miles. This beautiful 380SL has current NJ historic registration and clean NJ title in my name. The paint and body look extremely shiny and clean very very nice; everything appears to be original (30 years old). The only signs of a flaw in the paint I can see are shown in the last 2 pictures; the right fender and the P/S door's, original clear coat. Both are extremely small, but that is the only flaws I can see and I wanted to call them out to prospective buyers. There is no rust or dents on the car; no signs of previous body damage. It has a clean Car Fax indicating a papered and respected life. The exterior color is gold with a light Palomino/Saddle leather interior. The interior is in extremely nice shape for its age the seats have no rips or stains, all the trim, wood and carpets are in great shape. The wood is absolutely beautiful and flawless, you can see deep into it with no scratches or creacks! The Heat and A/C work very well, as do all the mechanicals on the car. The top is like new Mercedes in brown; the windows are clear and crack free. The sound system is the original Becker radio and it works perfectly including the electric Hirschman antenna. The trunk is equally clean; no blemishes on the carpets or the trim, no stains or smells. The original spare tire is in the trunk and appears to have never been on the ground! Car also has the original color matching hardtop in great shape. Car has original owners manual, first aid kit and original German tool kit! Asking price is $13,700. Relisted because someone hit the buy it now and said he didn't buy anything. Please respect my auction and buy only if you can complete this transaction. A good friend of mine told me about this fabulous Mercedes, his boss wanted to sell. It was purchased brand new from a dealer in Detroit Michigan on June 26, 1987, for his Wife. Ironically, I purchased a 1975 Cadillac Eldorado convertible from this same person 35 years ago. I am a car guy and own several antique and classic cars, but usually foreign cars are not my thing. When my friend told me the car only had 60,000 actual miles and that it was in excellent condition, I decided to have a look. I've always loved the looks of these Mercedes roadsters, but tend to favor brass era antiques and 50's classics. After seeing and driving this car, I bought it. It drives and handles like it's a new car. I have only put about 100 or so miles on it, taking it out for dinner and showing it at our local car shows. The color is called blue black, but to me it looks like a dark grey metallic with a slight blue hue. The leather interior is a buckskin color. There is both the hard top, which has an excellent headliner and the soft top, which is in excellent condition except for a tiny tear between the rear and quarter plastic windows. I did purchase a storage rack and cover for the hard top, which will go with the car. This Mercedes has new tires, which were installed about 9 months ago, but have only a few miles on them. Also there are chrome spoke wheels, instead of the stock ones. There is also new factory Mercedes script floor mats in the car and the old ones (good condition) are in the trunk and included in this sale. This car was Ziebart protected when the car was new (I have original receipt) and has zero rust. There is an original factory first aid kit in the trunk. This car has the upholstered rear seats with belts. I don't know whether that was an optional item. The engine is 5.6 liter V-8 with fuel injection. Dash board is beautiful with no cracking or warping. Mechanically this Mercedes is in excellent condition and drives and handles like its a new car. Steering wheel is covered in leather. I also have a folder full of the factory ID and warranty plates, window sticker ($60,080.), manuals, leather Mercedes script key holder and maintenance books. If you like Mercedes 560 SL's, consider this fabulous 60K mile original. You will not be disappointed with this beautiful Mercedes. This is a Buy it Now auction with Best Offer which is fairest type for both parties. This car is priced below the market for this nice of an SL and is listed to sell. This SL could be used as a daily driver as in runs so well or just used for weekend fun car--you choose. Either way it is worth the money and really fun to drive and it gets lots of attention. You are looking at a nice 1980 450SL. This SL is for sale due to illness by its older owner and it is priced to sell and it needs to go to a new owner that will get great use from it. The present owner has had the car since 1998 when it had 136,000 miles and now it has 154,000 which means it has been driven only 18k miles in 17 years. It has been garage kept the whole time and any required maintenance has been done. This is a wonderful driver that starts, runs and drives very smoothly that has been maintained and updated as needed. This is a great value!! Everything on the car works including all lights, horn, cruise control, clock, and the Climate Control system. I drove it today in 95 degree weather and the A/C was just a little cool which would probably mean it needs a charge as the car has been sitting with the owner sick and hasn't been driven for a while. The only exception is the odometer which quit working today when I puched the trip reset! If you need to call for explanation please do. The Battery is strong and car starts quickly and the radio was replaced with a Pioneer and two speakers installed in back area(see pic). The electric antenna also works. The wheels have been upgraded to 15" 560SL Style Chrome. The tires cannot have more than 2-3000 miles on them or less. The soft Top has been replaced(see pics) and fits well with a clear back window. The Hard Top has been off the car for many years and stored in an outdoor storage area and it fit just fine when put on car to transport it. The interior seats have been reupholstered and in good condition. The carpet is complete and no tears. There is one very small crack(maybe 1 inch) on the dash very near the windhield and not very noticeable but wanted to mention it. The car and hard top had a repaint somewhere along the way and the paint is very nice with just a few very minor scatches. The underneath of the car(see pics) is not restored but is solid and representative off a car this age that has been taken car of and garage kept. The car comes with the owners manual, two keys and two top tools. The jack is also in the battery compartment. Once again if you need to talk call 901 277-3678. 1982 Mercedes 380SL covertible, with hard top and soft top ready for the summer. AMG 18 inch wheels matches the car perfectly. Flow master makes you feel the V8 - lightest V8 the geniuses at Mercedes EVER PRODUCED. Low run production car and the first of the 380SL series.
