Previous California and Nevada owned. If you just think this is a Car you may like, there is more to it. there is a good coverage on Youtube, 'Harry's Garage' I have owned several MB's, amongst a 1969 280SL and 1976 459SL, this car is remarkable. unmarked Body, Accident free, original paint. rear Soft Top replaced last Month [one of the windows got vandalized], Roof section good shape, but there is also the new Roof Section I will include. full service history [original service book ] recent repair receipts. had the Fan Clutch replaced, and Mechanic found the Water Pump bearing questionable, so for the sake of a few hundred $ had the WP and also Radiator replaced. complete new Spark wire harness and plugs last year, just had a fully refurbished Soft Top ECU installed [life time warranty BBA Reman, Tounton MA] it apparently was jump started [absotutely a no-no] while in storage, obviously the Battery run down, I had left a Solar Charger with the Car, but, it was ignored, Battery was dead flat I have owned this MB for the last 3 years, approx. 9000mil over that time, living some part of the year in Australia, and spending some month of the year in the US, [family and Relatives] also Son had employment with a Houston Co. my plan was to take it back to Australia, but importation of SH Vehicles is restricted to Models up to Dec 1988 or earlier. [unless bona fide permanent resident] presently the Tonneau Cover is opening up somewhat slowly, but will be attended to. Driver side Sun Visor could be replaced [as in cosmetic] Wind Deflector has a ca 3in tear, Radio Volume a bit touchy, if turned slowly, no problem,[ there is a CA Co that do make repairs, ca $ 65.00, see on ebay]. has 6 stack CD Player, front Tyres as new[, Jun 2014, rear Tyres 2013. Climate Control function as it should, Aircon is icecold. I had the Light Bulbs in the Instrument Cluster replaced, MB in Austin TX, and since, occasionally the Temp Gauge will act erratically. [been told earth problem] the front leather seats [covers] have been replaced, MB Leather. . there are some hairline cracks in the woodgrain [Console] tthere are quite a few of replacement parts on ebay for this Model, 1990 to 2002, includes the 500SL and later the 300SLt here are no warning lights when running, I will assist in any way I can as to shipping, had great service with a Co out of Oregon, shipped to Texas Car is sold as is, where is, with all faults if any, no warranty given or implied. buyer to bear all shipping costs, if any. you can contact me via ebay or Ph 7147466179
