My wife's car , I bought the car four years ago from California .She drove it for one summer in Ontario, Canada before shipping it back to our residence in Florida. Started customizing it with a Nardi steering wheel (have original ) custom shifter knob, a Six CD player Am/FM tape system, have original radio, new Burl wood console panel. The car is in "Clearwater, Florida " and is in excellent condition, always serviced by Mercedes Benz dealer and Premiere auto service ( Wayne Purdy European Motors, Inc. Clearwater, Florida) Always the best oils and lubricants . Mechanically the car runs and drives very smooth. Clear/Clean Florida title. Local Inspections are welcome and encouraged. The original factory 15” alloy wheels are riding on a matched set of 4 Toyo All Season Tires that are all in good condition. All of this information is originally hand entered into their databases at their source and mistakes and inconsistencies will occur! For example when a dealer such as ourselves purchases a vehicle they may pick it up as a new owner when this is of course not the case as dealers are not end users. Also they often contain mileage errors are inconsistencies that appear to make little sense. Just like any computer generated information report you need to know how to read the report & when to read between the lines. Also repairs are more common on say a 10 year old model car as opposed to a 2 or 3 year old model car since they cost significantly less than a newer car. Obviously the older the car the more possible this is of happening. What you have just read is basically common sense, but there are some people who don’t understand this so this is why we have spelled it out in plain English. Can I see or inspect the vehicle in person? Prospective bidders are always welcome to come view or arrange on site inspections of the vehicle they are interested in BEFORE the close of the auction; however, we do NOT allow test drives. Once the auction has ended the vehicle is now considered sold and we do not permit any post sales inspections at that point. Of course if you are the winner of the auction you are always welcome to look over the car, test drive it, and make sure you are happy with it before taking delivery. Do you end auctions early? We reserve the right to end any auction early should we deem it necessary. However this is quite rare and occurs in less than 2% of all listings. But occasionally we have to end an auction early because we made an error in the vehicles options, description, warranty, or have a title issue. Also any bid retractions within the last half of the remainder of the auction are subject to be ended early at our discretion. Some services such as E-Loan or HSBC place demands on their loans that we can not meet. For example sometimes they require the borrower to only purchase a vehicle in the state they reside and that of course would make it impossible for most bidders &ourselves to comply. So again, we work very hard to make the process go smoothly & quickly just let us know upfront if you have any special needs so we can help out. Also you can do a web search for vehicle transporters for a greater selection. We do not take vehicles to shipping terminals or shipping ports. All vehicles must be picked up at the dealership during regular business hours Monday - Saturday. Pricing and delivery times are between you and your shipper. Average shipping time is 5 - 15 days depending on many different factors. It is recommended that exotic or high dollar vehicles be shipped enclosed (but that is a personal choice). Florida Classic Automotive LLC is pleased to offer this red:1989 Mercedes Benz 560 SL Roadster: This vehicle was adored for 25 years by the baker and his wife from Long Branch New Jersey. Used for special occasions such as their 25th anniversary for which it was purchased. Garaged all its life and now showing 66,374 miles its maintenance records indicate Dealer Service throughout the first 10 years with only 37,500 miles accumulated following up by the remainder of the services and maintenance's performed at C & M Motor works in Long Branch NJ to date, including the 60,000 mile service. Next service date is at 67,000 miles as indicated in the driver door jam. This Beautiful red original accident free vehicle shows only slight wear/patina on items that could not be avoided such are common; 1.) the convertible top rear glass could use a slight polish. 2). the driver seat bolster could be dyed from entering and exiting the vehicle. 3). the right rear quarter panel has a small 2 1/2" scratch between the gas filler and the passenger door- which we could easily refinish as a restoration shop but we just think this vehicle will only be totally original once. If you desire, the repairs they can be arranged at additional cost. The hardtop is easily removed and comes with the Mercedes carrier providing against the wall storage. The air conditioner blows ice cold air with the hard top installed for the hot weather. It is hard to beat the appearance of this roadster when the convertible top is retracted as the vehicle glides effortlessly down the highway. The body is straight with no evidence of paint or refinish work anywhere. The doors, hood, and trunk all operate as new. The paint finish is astonishing for a now classic vehicle of over 25 years of age. The tires have deep tread and drive smooth. The engine operates quietly and responds with rapid and effortless acceleration. All switches and knobs are in very nice working order and the interior cabin is very tidy.
